Jer 31:21 Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps:
set thine heart toward the highway, even
the way which thou wentest: turn again,
O virgin of Israel, turn again to these thy cities.
In order for us to set our heart on the highway we must be
drawn. It is wonderful that God will
draw each one of us.
Jer 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an
everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
God draws us with loving kindness. Set your heart on the Law, the Word of God,
and the Royal Law. James says that the
Royal Law is that we love each other.
Jas 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to
you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double
minded.
This is a promise.
When we start reaching out to God then right away He will start reaching
out to us.
No situation or person can interfere with us drawing nigh to
God. A tough situation with your spouse
or a difficult situation at work that takes up your mind, you don’t have to let
anything hinder you from drawing nigh to God.
You can still draw nigh to God.
How do we draw close to God?
Joh 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named
Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
Joh 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said
unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can
do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus wanted a strong interview with Jesus but didn’t
want anyone to know about it so he came at night. We can each have a strong interview with God.
Joh 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be
born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and
be born?
Nicodemus wanted to get it.
He didn’t let it go with, “It is probably something symbolic and
old.” We need to get it. We need to press.
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot
enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:6 That which is born of
the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Joh 3:7 Marvel not that I
said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Joh 3:8 The wind bloweth
where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence
it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Nicodemus was earnest and really wanted to know.
Joh 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can
these things be?
Joh 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Joh 3:11 Verily, verily, I say
unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye
receive not our witness.
Joh 3:12 If I have told you
earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
Joh 3:13 And no man hath ascended
up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which
is in heaven.
Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted
up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Here He was giving reference to His crucifixion. When they looked upon the serpent that was
lifted up in Moses’ time they were healed.
He was lifted on the cross for our healing emotionally, spiritually and
physically.
Joh 3:15 That whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his
Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might
be saved.
It is wonderful to know that we can have salvation through
Jesus Christ. How do we get it? We must have a one on one interview with
Christ.
Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know
assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both
Lord and Christ.
He is the messiah and the governor with the heart of a
shepherd.
They asked, “What shall we do?”
Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said
unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and
brethren, what shall we do?
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your
children, and to all that are afar off, even
as many as the Lord our God shall call.
It is to all. Even to
as many as the Lord our God shall call.
If we are drawing near to Him then He is drawing nigh to us.
Repent means to confess and turn from it.
Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that
your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the
presence of the Lord;
There is a repentance.
We can look at a specific day and time when we were through with our own
way and willing to turn God’s way.
Luk 10:20 Notwithstanding in
this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice,
because your names are written in heaven.
Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through
the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for
all.
Heb 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering
and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one
sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be
made his footstool.
Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for
ever them that are sanctified.
Heb 10:15 Whereof
the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
Heb 10:16 This is
the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I
will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember
no more.
Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
1Th 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain
from fornication:
1Th 4:4 That every one of you should know how to
possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
