Brother Gary Sunday Evening 9/27/15

Brother Gary Sunday Evening 9/27/15
The battle is raging.  If you are not in the battle then we praise God with you.  If you feel that all hell is turned loose in your soul, if you feel the pronounced war of unbelief, of being tired, or of your age, no one will find fault with you.  But we have an answer.

The Word of God has the answer.  If anyone takes your time to tell you all their problems, then you can take some of their time to tell them about salvation.

One time I was on a plane going somewhere and I sat by a gentleman and a young lady that came on last running.  The young lady spent half the flight telling me of all the weird things in the world today, all darkness and corrupt.  I said, “I have given you half the flight.  I expect you to give me the other half.”

I witnessed to her about the word of God and told her about Jesus, salvation, and sanctification.  The plane landed and the man on the aisle let us by.  We got out to where there was a little more room and he touched my arm.  He told me, “I am a medical doctor.  This world needs to hear your message.”

Listen to others, but then tell them the message of Jesus.

Jesus taught us about the Holy Spirit in the four gospels.  Then after He ascended back to the Father, He sent the Holy Spirit and the apostles wrote many epistles that teach us about the Holy Spirit of God.

Eph 6:10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

What wonderful exhortation to all of us.  Let God give you help in the battle.  The Holy Spirit has taught me that if you run on empty, as far as your rest and your body, you will open the door to the enemy to beat you up.  He is looking for someone that is tired to take advantage of.

By the time I am ready for bed then I will be tired.  He will try to get my mind mulling on things.  I know how to handle it.  “I am not going to handle this while I am tired.  I will meet with God in the morning.”

Eph 6:11  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

We are in 2015.  The enemy is pulling out every trick that he can.

This one that is leading the army of the Lord has a vesture of blood, his name is the Word of God.  This one that has the answer is riding a white horse.  He is leading people that are on white horses.

Don’t let any spirit get you on the red horse of unbelief.  If it doesn’t get to me tonight, he will try to get me tomorrow.  The red horse of unbelief takes peace.  Whenever you feel the enemy of your soul endeavoring to get you to switch horses, and get you full of worry, doubt, and unbelief then the enemy has buffaloed you off of the white horse of Zion.

The white horses of Zion are following Jesus Christ.  They are the Army of the Lord.

You know that the black horse is apostasy.  In 2015 the enemy is sweeping every soul that he can gather into apostasy to let down on the standard, church attendance, seeking God, or putting our all in God’s service.

If you haven’t visited Babylon lately and want to get stirred up, then go there.  If you have been to a wedding or funeral in Babylon recently I ask you, “Is God there?”  No God is not there.  Apostasy is a black horse.  Don’t get on that horse.

Stay away from apostasy.  Always choose to do right by a situation.  “I don’t care what it will cost me; I am going to do right by every situation.”  If you don’t then it will cost you.  If you talk to anyone that is in apostasy, they will tell you, “We didn’t start out here.”  May God stir every one of us.

You know what follows apostasy; it is hell.  Hell is not some imagination of Paul Bunyan cutting down big trees and building a fire.  It is a reality.

If people love God then they will keep His commandment.  If we walk in the light as He is in the light then we have fellowship one with another.

Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

We are not fighting against people.  This condition exists in Sanders County, in Mineral County, and in all 56 counties in the state of Montana.  People think, “I am having this battle and if I was somewhere else it wouldn’t be this way.”  No if you were there then the same spirits would be there to contest you.

We are fighting principals of apostasy, of carnality, of worldliness…  We are fighting against powers.  How many times do you feel a spirit that comes against you that tries to make you ashamed of your stand?  We walk into places that people look at us and think, “Where do you guys come from?” because of our standard.

If we are in a position where we think, “I’m not going to do this or that because someone might not like it.”  Let me help you.  If you walk according to that, it will lead you into apostasy and darkness.

The rulers of darkness are those that have ugly spirits and have a little click of associates that control whatever it is that they are in.  There will be bullies on the playground in any school.  There are rulers of darkness.  There will be this in establishments.  There are bullies in the postal system, there are bullies in the Forest Service.  They have compromised, they pat sin on the back so they have a leak.

When Karen was a Baptist her uncle pastored and there were rich people that controlled the place. We cannot be that way.  Whether you make little or much, with God there is an equality.

If you are scared of so in so, you need to get alone with God.  You need the intercessor, you need to have the saints pray, because we can be more than conquerors in 2015.

Spiritual wickedness in high places:  I am shocked at how terrible people live and yet they are praying and singing, “It is well with my soul.”

The message to us is to take the whole armor of God.

Eph 6:13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Stand with the message of truth.  You cannot join God’s church.  You must confess, repent, and turn from your sins.  Then God adds you to His church.

There are those that say that you can be baptized in whatever way that you want.  There is a big difference between a spit bath and a shower.  Being fully immersed shows a death to sin: I am done with sin, I am done with pride, I am dead to that old life of sin, and I am burying it.

If we had enough money to get a boat and went into the middle of the ocean where we couldn’t find the bottom you might say, “I want to baptized right here so that my sins can be buried in the depths of the sea as the Bible says.”

We must have the breast plate on so that nothing gets into our heart.  So no one can shoot us with unbelief and apostasy.  People will sprinkle around their bitterness and criticalness.  All the time they see if they can inoculate you with poison.

If you get poison in your heart, it will kill you spiritually.

Eph 6:15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

I don’t know where I am going tomorrow.  I want my feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.  We have a message.  You can be a conqueror and a victor through Christ.

Eph 6:16  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Have that shield of faith there: “Building up your most holy faith.”  We want to be faith builders and to encourage one another.  If you are sick, we want to encourage you that God is going to heal your body.  When things look impossible with your family, we have a God that can change things.

Remember the prodigal son?  All prodigals end up in the pig pin.  You may jump into the dumpster and think, “I am not going to be garbage,” but you wait and see.

You choose to not go the straight and narrow, “I am going to go the broad way but I am not going to be affected by the things that are wrong.”  Let me tell you.  It is the same for all.  All that take the broad way end up in the same place.

Take the shield of faith with you tomorrow.  Anticipate the fiery darts.  You can quench every one of them.

Eph 6:17  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Take the helmet of salvation.  Don’t let your mind go to the lust of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life.  Don’t let your mind go there.  Take the helmet of salvation.

I don’t want to quench the spirit of the Living God.  Tonight I was getting ready to take a nap and I thought “I want something good to put me to sleep.”  I picked something written by Brother Chancellor, “Heaven waits now for me.  It is my goal.”  Fill your mind with things that will benefit your soul.

The sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

Eph 6:18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

The Holy Spirit is Holy.  Isn’t that wonderful?  Isn’t it wonderful to be able to pray in the Holy Spirit that knows the will of God for you?  He makes intercession for us.  He is an advocate.  If we would have chosen our own way, we would have chosen the wrong way.

How many times have you been in a position of making a decision? You felt the pressure of people.  Bullies and powerful men that act like they are doing you a favor and telling you how to think so that you would be accepted of others.

The Holy Spirit comes and helps you to realize, “I am going to follow God and do the will of God.”

Eph 6:19  And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
Eph 6:20  For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Eph 6:21  But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
Eph 6:22  Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
Eph 6:23  Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I am not in any way taking away from the needs, the battles, and the conditions.  God is the author of peace and not of confusion.

Eph 6:24  Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. To the Ephesians written from Rome, by Tychicus.

We mentioned that there are white horses.  The revelation teaches that Jesus Christ went forth on the white horse conquering and to conquer.  He had the rainbow: the promises of God.  There was also the red horse: unbelief.  He went to take peace.

When you are in the battle, then check where that thing is coming from.  Don’t switch horses.  Stay on the white horse.  If you leave the white horse and go to unbelief then your prayer life will apostatize.  You will not see sin as exceedingly sinful.  Things will begin to cool in your relationships with others.

You don’t slice things up with your tongue when you are on the white horse.  “The law of kindness is in her tongue.”  That is the standard for the sisters, the church, and for all that are saved.

If we leave the white horse, it will lead us to apostasy.  Is there anything more sad than the one that had left God, turned their face to the wall, and said, “I am lost forever?”

Rev 19:11  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Rev 19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Rev 19:16  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

John on the Isle of Patmos saw the heavens opened.  See the heavens opened.  See the one that bought victory crowned and crowned again.  Let’s crown Him tomorrow.  Give him our best tomorrow.

When I find myself staggering around and so tired, this hip always hurts.  I say, “I have to get it together.  I am going to Crown Him with hurting hips.”

When the thought comes, “No one appreciates us.”  I say, “No.  I am going to crown Him.  The saints appreciate us.”

God I am going to crown you whether we are $200 short or $200 long.  You have never failed us.  He was crowned and crowned.  Crown Him again.

Maybe this week will be all blessings for you.  Crown Him.  However your week is, crown Him.  If it doesn’t go so good then crown Him anyway.

He is crowned and clothed with the Word of God.  His name is the Word of God and He was clothed with a vesture of blood.

The armies in heaven are clothed in white and on white horses following Jesus Christ.  We are all going to be in the battle this week.  That is a part of life.  Be on the white horse and make sure the Holy Spirit is leading you wherever you go.  If He does then you can ride the white horse all the way.

If the Gods of this world, the lusts of the flesh, or the rulers of darkness lead you, then you will have a tough ride.

Brother Gary Sunday Morning 9/27/15

Brother Gary Sunday Morning 9/27/15
John the Baptist told that Jesus would come and that he, John, was not even worthy to carry His shoes or unloose His shoes.  He told that when He came He would baptize with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said that He would send a comforter, the Holy Spirit.

Mar 1:1  The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
Mar 1:2  As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
Mar 1:3  The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
Mar 1:4  John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
Mar 1:5  And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
Mar 1:6  And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;
Mar 1:7  And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.
Mar 1:8  I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

John preached the baptism of repentance and told that Jesus would come and baptize with the Holy Ghost.

Joh 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

We must have the attitude to God not only that we love Him but that we will obey Him.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

At the end of His life Jesus left the instruction to tarry until they be endued with power from on high.  The word Comforter is capitalized.  This means that He is not just an individual but a definite select person.

This word comes from the greek word, entrance 3875 in the Strongs Concordance and has four meanings.  The first is an intercessor:  We could go into a long discourse about how children need an intercessor; God designed that would be the parent and those that really love and care for them.

You teachers have students that have parents that will not be an intercessor and have the thought that their children can fend for themselves.  This world is mean out there.

In the Spiritual realm, Jesus knew that we would desperately need the Holy Spirit to intercede for us.

The journey of life that brought you to September 27, 2015: many have been in places where they desperately needed an intercessor.  There have been bullies: relatives, at school, as bosses, or others that decided, “They are gone; I don’t want them anymore.”  For some of you there was someone that interceded for you.

I don’t think that there would be one here that hasn’t had an intercessor in their life.  Jesus knew that we desperately needed an intercessor in this life.

The Holy Spirit is not a wild man.  He really cares; therefore He intercedes.  He cares about children.
I was raised with a mother and father that knew how to pray and how to intercede.  With my father: after conversion, he was a fearless man.  Right was right.  He knew what he believed and he stood for it.  He interceded for the down and outers.

The work of the Holy Spirit of God is to intercede for you and for me.  Our life will put us in a position where you will take things in your own hand unless you stop and say, “What would God have me to do?”

Some children don’t have any parent interceding for them, but they have the Holy Spirit interceding for them.  The scripture says, “Psa 27:10  When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.” Is there anything sadder than a child whose parent or parents love themselves so much that they don’t love and pray and care for their children?

The Holy Spirit is an intercessor.  In first John, John so well saluted those that he was writing to.  Do you know how to salute one another?  You need to study the Word to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the Word of truth.

It is your privilege to know how to salute children.  It is your privilege to know how to salute the elder brothers and sisters.

You that have to go to work or school, trust that the Holy Spirit will intercede.  Pray that He will intercede.

It is not the minister’s place to call one to preach or to teach.  The gifts and callings are to come from God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit of God.  I have asked Brother Rick to teach on being a helper.  I can ask him to do anything.  He plumed for me and later I found out that he didn’t like pluming.

How many of us have had meetings that we didn’t know what we would face in the meeting.  You say, “Please Pray.”  The thought is that the Holy Spirit will not just give you what you want but that His perfect will would be done.

A comforter is a person that comforts in a time of grief and disappointment.  In a world where everyone is telling me that everything is just fine and yet they are broken and filled with grief.  Hearts are sad and yet the Holy Spirit is the comforter.

I am against all sin and everything that is wrong.  I am against the bully pushing a child, and I am against the biggest thing that is wrong in our world.  Everywhere you go you hear people talking about things that are wrong.  If you do internet you can read that every church in America has something wrong with it and everyone is wrong except them.

Who stands up and comforts the broken hearted?  Children that are abused?  Church we have a job to do.  The Holy Spirit wants to comfort this morning.

You have losses and griefs in your life.  That is for sure.  All we have to do is be honest before God, “God I need the comfort in this great heartache in my life.”

My mother became a widow way too young.  I have battled in my mind sometimes, “I don’t want my wife to ever be a widow.  It is really rough.  I saw what my mother went thorough.  Her health broke.  She was a lady that had been so strong.

I wish I had a journal of hers to tell how many quarts of beans she used to can.  On Sunday mornings she would go out and catch a chicken, kill it and clean it up.  It went from the chopping block to the frying pan.

One day she became so frail she needed an intercessor, and a comforter.  Do you know how to be comforted?  Do you know how to comfort?

“I believe in telling it how it is.”  You probably do unless someone tells you.  I have seen too many bullies in the pulpit.

If we lack the comforter, all we will get done in life is tell about our trials.  God will take care of you if you serve Him.  You may wonder, “How will God take care of me?”  You are in pain in your body, “How will God help me?”  The comforter knows how to comfort in your trying situations.

I used to be able to saw logs.  When God called me to preach the gospel, I had a desire to preach 7 days a week across the USA without taking a breath.  This congregation saw my health fail me.  I reached the place where I could only preach once a week and then go home.

A lot of Sundays my wife and daughters had dinner alone.  I was exhausted and had to go to bed.  You talk about a disappointment!  There is a God that knows how to comfort you in your disappointment.

Life may not give you what you wished.  He is a comforter at the time of grief.  You may be in this audience and never tell the heartache of not having a dad that showed his love.  Dads, just working is not enough.  Dads need to show their children their love.

If you are here and you have the grief, the disappointment of not having the love of a dad, a mother, an aunt, or an uncle; it is a tough one.  The only thing to do is to say, “God I have to submit this to you.  If I don’t then I will limp all my life.  I will have a point of conversation of how disappointing life has been.”  Let me help you, there is a comforter, He has come.

He is an advocate.  One that supports a particular cause.  Isn’t it amazing every morning when you have your devotions, you take the bible and begin to read, the Holy Spirit as your advocate comes and meets with you in such a marvelous way.

Last week was wonderful, I enjoyed worshipping, the good things of God, and reading His word.  Before Moses went up and God buried His body, he left the thought, “The eternal God and His everlasting arms.”  Through God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit I sensed the everlasting arms.

There is a song that we sing, “Learning to lean on Jesus.  Gaining more power, I’m learning to lean on Jesus.”  You say, “You should have learned that in 1965 when you got saved.  I did.  Then I went to school in 1966 and I learned to lean more.  In 2015 I am learning to lean.

To have an advocate!  Wherever you are or whatever is making you nervous.  Whatever you are concerned about and fidgety about, you have an advocate.  He will tell you to lean hard on Him.  He will not fail.

He is a person consoling with consolation.  Isn’t it marvelous when you bear your burden to Him and the Holy Spirit comes and says, “I’ll take care of it?”

You might be in this audience this morning have great concerns.  It could be for your own children or for your brother.  You may be praying for your brother-in-law, a sister-in-law, a son, or a daughter-in-law.  There is one thing to do and that is to get it before God and then the Holy Spirit comes and says, “I have heard your prayer and I will take care of this situation.”

There is no limit to how far you can trust Him.  I have people in my life that from the visual side it is hopeless.  But you are forgetting God when you say that.  He is able.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh 14:17  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Jesus was praying for His disciples.  Unsaved people cannot receive the Holy Spirit of God.  It is after conversion and after we present our bodies a living sacrifice holy, acceptable to God, our reasonable service that we are a candidate for the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth.  Everyone in this audience would say, “I don’t want to be deceived.”  God and the Holy Spirit don’t want us to be deceived.  There is a spirit of truth and there is also the spirit of error.

We are to buy the truth and sell it not.

You know this but it is important that I tell you again.  Truth always has two witnesses.  What is truth in the Old Testament is true in the New Testament.

Pro 23:23  Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Many times you will be put on the auction block.  If you compromised the thought might be that it would put you in a better position with whomever…  Never deny Him.

Joh 4:24  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Individuals that are not saved and not preaching and teaching the truth of God’s Word, they may be worshipping but the only way to worship God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit is to worship in Spirit and in truth.

Have you presented your body a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto God?

The opportunity to have the Holy Spirit is given to everyone that is saved.  Jesus would have you and I to say, “God Here I am.”

The disciples asked the question, “Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed?”

The Holy Spirit is given to the disciples and to those that have started out to serve God. The Holy Spirit keeps the five senses of the soul very alert.

We were born with five senses.  The sense of smell, the since of hearing, the sense of seeing, the sense of tasting, and the sense of feeling.  The Holy Spirit keeps these alive.  He causes you to smell the living water of the Word.

The account of the reindeer:  once in their lifetime they thirst for salt water.  They reach the age where that thirst causes them to begin looking.  They sense that it is time to go to the ocean.  That happens to you so often.  We must go to the living waters.

The sense of hearing: There is a song, “Oh if I could hear mother praying!”

I told of a man that told me all his troubles and all the troubles of the world that he knows about.  He told me way too much.  I told him, there is nothing like the kiss of a grandchild.  They get you down there, they put their arms around you and they smack you.

The sense of feeling the Holy Spirit, “I am going to take care of you.”  We have an intercessor, we have a comforter.

The sense of tasting:  have you sensed the terribleness of how the world tastes?  Dog eat dog!  Have you sensed the pain of the man that chose alcohol as his comforter and you or I was called, “Will you come one more time and pray?”  The man is full of fluids.  It smells terrible; it looks terrible.  Count the cost.

Like the teacher is saying to the child: you are thinking of quitting school in 3rd grade? Count the cost.  Sin feels terrible.  Sin looks terrible.  But if you are not filled with the Holy Ghost you become calloused.

Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God!  I may live more years.  My greatest joy would be to live without grieving God.  I never want to grieve the Holy Spirit of God.  There is only one way into heaven and it is straight and narrow.

Brother Rick Sunday School 9/27/15

Brother Rick Sunday School 9/27/15
Oh Sweet and tranquil Home, where only God is known.

Joh 14:27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Thank God we can have an experience where we can really partake of the peace of God.  Peace is a state of tranquility or quiet.  It is a freedom from disquiet or disquieting thoughts.

Aren’t you glad that you know that you are clear with your maker and ready to meet Him at any time?

Adam Clarke
Peace I leave with you -
The Jewish form of salutation and benediction. A wish of peace among them is thus to be understood: May you prosper in body and soul, and enjoy every earthly and heavenly good! For the meaning of this word, see Mat_5:9.
My peace I give unto you - Such tranquillity of soul, such uninterrupted happiness of mind, such everlasting friendship with God as I enjoy, may ye all enjoy! And such blessedness I bequeath unto you: it is my last, my best, my dying legacy.
Not as the world giveth - Not as the Jews, in empty wishes: not as the people of the world, in empty compliments. Their salutations and benedictions are generally matters of custom and polite ceremony, given without desire or design; but I mean what I say; what I wish you, that I will give you. To his followers Jesus gives peace, procures it, preserves it, and establishes it. He is the author, prince, promoter, and keeper of peace.
Neither let it be afraid - Μηδε δειλιατω, Let not your heart shrink back through fear of any approaching evil. This is the proper meaning of the word. In a few hours ye will be most powerfully assaulted; but stand firm: - the evil will only fall upon me; and this evil will result in your comfort and salvation, and in the redemption of a lost world.

Isn’t it nice when you go through a battle and get the victory and the peace of God floods your heart?  God’s peace in our heart should make us so willing to serve Him in everything.  What more can there be than having God’s peace and knowing we are doing right?

Col 3:15  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Thankfulness is a big part in retaining and maintaining a spiritually satisfied life.  We need to be thankful for the difficulties that come as well even though it is not easy.  Everything that happens is allowed by God and can work for our good.  We need to give God a chance to prove Himself and He will.

Sister Dorothy - The tests don’t only come for us to prove God, but it is also for Him to prove us.  The satisfaction is that we pass the test.  It proves where we are and where we stand.  That is what is so good when we get the victory.  “Thank God I made it.  I made the test.”

Brother Bill - We don’t always know what is totally in our hearts.  There are times that things will bubble up and we say, “Whoa, I didn’t know that was in there.”  When we go through some things it helps us to know what is down in there.  “I really desire to serve God; I have proved it to myself.”

Sister Annette - The refining purges us from ourselves.  We must be willing to go through the fire and allow God to liberate us from ourselves.  It causes us to be free.  We can then have more love in our heart.

1Th 5:18  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Sister Beverly - Yesterday I learned a new little thing about being thankful.  I saw a plaque on the wall, “If you could only have tomorrow the things that you were thankful for today, then what would it be like?”  What if God didn’t give me anything tomorrow that I was not thankful for today?
It has really helped me.  It made me more keenly aware of “What if it was that way?”  It has made me more thankful, and more appreciative.  What I am thankful for today then I want to have in my life tomorrow.
Those things that we see in our life, God can help us to change.  Where we see we can measure up we want to measure.  We can.  God has the grace for us.

Mat 5:9  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

We want to not only have this peace in our life but to share it.  God wants us under the influence of peace.  That is why it is so good to be around the saints.

We must have courage in this walk.  We have an enemy that doesn’t want us to keep the peace.  We must battle to hold onto peace.  Our victory is in the truth.

Matthew Henry – peace should include: peace with God, peace with one another, and peace in our own bosom.

What a valuable thing to have peace in our soul and know that we are right with God!  What good would a mansion do for us if we didn’t have peace in our soul?

Matthew Henry goes on to say, “Peace is a tranquility of mind arising from the sense of justification before God.”

Joh 16:33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

We will have difficulties.  How much better to go through the difficulties that come along with God to help us through to comfort us and give us peace to go through the difficulties.

I think of the difficulties I went through before I became a Christian.  I had no hope of peace in my soul or His comfort.  The battle just went on and on.

Alexander McLaren: true faith, by the mighty help of the will, fixes its gaze on our mighty helper and there finds it possible to lose its fears.  It is madness to say, “I will not be afraid.”  It is wisdom and peace to say, “I will trust and not be afraid.”

Billy Sunday – riches have not yet given anyone peace or rest.

Our life here on earth is just a short time compared to eternity in heaven.  We need to be laying up treasure in heaven.

C.S. Lewis – God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself.  It is not there.  There is no true peace or happiness where God is not there.

We want people to find God.  That is where the treasure and the help is.  It is where every need is supplied.  We want to be a real help and encouragement to those that just get saved.

Charles Brent – Peace comes when there is no cloud between us and God.  To be able to look into God’s face and know that there is nothing between the soul and Him is peace.

When people live in sin and do that which they know is not right it brings a cloud between them and God.

Charles Spurgeon – doubt discovers difficulties which it never solves.  It creates heaviness, despondency, despair, and lack of peace.  Doubt nails down the coffin of man.

How many times have you had a difficulty in your life that you put in your mind and go over and over again trying to discover a solution?  What a waste of time, drain of energy and opposite of peace!

We need to believe in God’s Word and we can believe.  The enemy will try to rob us of our faith.  We will have difficulties where we will have to man up and choose to believe.  We can choose to believe.  The enemy can bring unbelief and make things seem impossible to believe but we can choose to believe.

It may be that we just have to take our stand and say, “I can believe, I will believe, and I do believe.”  We can repeat that over and over again to ourselves.  God will give us the victory.

Charles Spurgeon – I find myself often depressed, perhaps more than any that is here.  I find no better cure than to trust in the Lord with all my heart and His infinite love in dying on the cross to put away all my transgressions.  Prayer girds human weakness with divine strength. And gives to mortals the peace of God.

We need to pray for our pastors.  We don’t know what they go through: more difficulties and trials than we know of.  The enemy will target them especially

Don’t you thank God when you have prayed for strength in a certain area of your life and He gives it?

Brother Bill – The word of God exposes a God that wants us to trust in Him.  The heart throb of God is, “Trust in me.”  It tells in the gospels of the sparrows, the ravens, and the lilies.  The atmosphere of those scriptures is to trust in Him.  He wants us to believe in Him.

Taste and see that the Lord is good.  Oh that souls would launch out and see that God is real.  There are really souls that are living a saintly life.  “Blessed is the man that trusts in Him.”

Php 4:7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Sister Dorothy – The understanding is in our mind.  Peace is more than that.  It goes to our experience.  We can really truly experience peace.

Joh 16:33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Adam Clarke - That in me ye might have peace - I give you this warning as another proof that I know all things, and to the end that ye may look to me alone for peace and happiness. The peace of God is ever to be understood as including all possible blessedness - light, strength, comfort, support, a sense of the Divine favor, unction of the Holy Spirit, purification of heart, etc., etc., and all these to be enjoyed in Christ.
In the world ye shall have tribulation - Or, as most of the very best MSS. read, εχετε, ye have - the tribulation is at hand; ye are just about to be plunged into it.
But be of good cheer - Do not despond on account of what I have said: the world shall not be able to overcome you, how severely soever it may try you.
I have overcome the world - I am just now going by my death to put it and its god to the rout.
My apparent weakness shall be my victory; my ignominy shall be my glory; and the victory which the world, the devil, and my adversaries in general, shall appear to gain over me, shall be their own lasting defeat, and my eternal triumph. - Fear not!

Aren’t you glad that there is victory with Christ?

Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 9/23/15

Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 9/23/15
Isa 43:5  Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
Isa 43:6  I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
Isa 43:7  Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

For I have created thee for my glory:  As I worked through this week, the Spirit of God worked on my heart with thoughts on the line that God’s desire is that you and I be created for Him as a vessel unto honor.

We come before God and are exhorted to come boldly before the throne of grace.  We have family and friends that are in dire straits and need help from God.  We often find ourselves pleading with God for mercy, and pleading with God for our own need of grace and strength.

The thought came very strong to me as I went about this week: there are some things that only an earthen vessel that is a vessel unto honor can give to God.

2Co 4:7  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

This treasure is Jesus Christ, light, and faith.

2Ti 2:21  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

There are things that we must be purged from.  The scripture teaches us that we are the sheep of His pasture.  The prophecy tells us that Jesus will be there with a fan in His hand.  All those things that we have in our human flesh, natural man, carnality or whatever, God is going to fan.  He wants a man to thoroughly purge his floor.

1Pe 2:8  And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

To some, Jesus is the stone of stumbling.  Anytime you see someone in sin you wonder why they stay there.  It is a terrible place to be.  They don’t want to hear the message that strait is the gate and narrow the way.

We sang the song, “Salvation is the sweetest thing.”  It is the sweetest thing.  It is far above anything that the world has to offer.

May we ever remember that it is disobedience that brings people to the distance that Jesus is the stone of stumbling and the rock of offence.

1Pe 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

We can be like the newspaper: “Where is the good news?”  We can be cumbered down.  It is not wrong to be heavy burdened.  If you are interceding and heavy burdened for someone then we are 100% behind you.

It is only earthen vessels that have been saved, sanctified, and cleansed that can be filled with praise.  “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”

We have every reason to be heavy burdened.  When Abraham visited with the two angels and God that were on their way to Sodom, there were heavy burdens.  Sodom was very bad.

You that are around the Public School System can tell me terrible stories of children that are emotionally disturbed.  You that work in the facilities can tell me of those that say, “How come I am here?  No one wants me.”  Babies are born into this world unwanted.  It is a terrible situation.  This God sent His only begotten Son that we could be saved.

My life would be terribly messed up, if I was still alive and had not given my life to Jesus Christ.  He did a marvelous work.  You will notice that it shows a plural form of generations.  How we need one another lifting us up in prayer and encouraging us.

We really need God, but remember that we are one of a body, a chosen generation.  You may come in with a heavy burden.  We know burdens.  If someone has a burden if they are living in reality at all, they will show it.  We have a God that said, “You are a chosen generation.”  We will not always be in the burden.  There is nothing impossible with God.  Get ahold of God.

No one that has identity with reality doesn’t realize that “My burdens need miracles from God.”

Karen and I have a burden that we can tell no one.  It is heavy.  My heart was heavy all day and all night carrying this burden.  You can only bear it so long and God says, “You have had an agreement of prayer, you have believed God.  You have claimed that scripture, “With God nothing shall be impossible.  If thou canst believe then nothing shall be impossible.””

Isn’t it awesome that you and I can enter into the Holiest of Holies and commune with God?  “How amiable are thy tabernacles.”  When I begin thinking of the brazen altar, the place where my sins were washed away and begin working to the Holiest of Holies where God met with Moses!

A holy nation: this shows me, “I need YOU.”  Without your help my burdens will be so heavy that I won’t have any praise.  In the Body of Christ we see the storm in reality and we see the storm from the other side.

Called you out of darkness:  isn’t it wonderful to be out of darkness, to know where you are going? “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,” and shines out there so that when the decision comes the Word of God shines, “Always go right, never leave the path.”

1Pe 2:10  Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

When the Jews rejected Jesus it opened the way that we Gentiles could be saved.  But that alone didn’t save us.  Thank God because of Jesus and His blood we can be saved.

1Pe 2:11  Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

I worshipped this week with the song by D.S. Warner, “I have found it Lord in thee, an everlasting store of comfort, joy, and bliss to me…”

Brother D.S. Warner preached in the 1800’s.  In the third verse it says, “My foolish soul had thought to fill itself with mold.”

It is ruining America.  Isn’t it sad how people think that things will satisfy?  “Seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.”  You need food, a car, a house and shelter.  Way back in Brother Warner’s life the enemy held out this thing of filling himself with mold.

We are really blessed to have one another.

We have all had the experience of being around people that say, “This summer we hope to build our vacation home on Lake Pend Oreille.  It is just going to be a small home with 4000 square feet. There will only be 7 bathrooms and a manicured lawn.”  We begin to look about and see that we live in a house with slanted floors… The thought that prosperity brings happiness?  It doesn’t.

There was a man that lived across from the Fair Grounds.  He came to Montana and became wealthy.  Brother Sheppard talked to him about getting saved and he thought that it wasn’t for him right now.

When I went to visit him, He brought out his book to show me his successes.  He had the best of everything.  His sheep were better than anyone else’s and his barn.  He didn’t go for Walmart things.  He told me it didn’t satisfy.  He sold that for a house in the Bitterroot.  His things didn’t make him happy.  Last I heard he was a sick man.

1Pe 2:12  Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Brother Gary Sunday Morning 9/20/15

Brother Gary Sunday Morning 9/20/15
If a man therefore purge himself from these...
I would like to present scriptures on the thought of the process of purging.  When we come to the age of accountability and begin to feel the purging from God, we realize that it is not our own merit that we make the right decision in life.  We realize that our own merit will not save us.

There is the process of purging.

Psa 119:9  BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Psa 119:10  With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
Psa 119:11  Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Psa 119:12  Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
Psa 119:13  With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
Psa 119:14  I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
Psa 119:15  I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
Psa 119:16  I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse His way?  This is a vital question for every young man and young lady and for every man and woman in the world.  How does an individual clean up their life?

Last Sunday morning Brother Bill brought in his Sunday school lesson that God began to deal with him when he was in high school.  He was unchurched and without bible training.

Because of the faithfulness of God and the reality that God created him and each one of us.  There is a definite process of purging.  Prior to being saved he came to the realization that he was not saved and there was something wrong on the inside and there was a desire to know God and to do right.

At an early age it was recognized that unless definite changes took place he would be in a reformatory and in trouble and who knew where that would lead.  Bill is not alone in that.  It is a common denominator to individuals in this world.

God had already addressed it.  God addressed 2015 before you and I were here.  He addressed being married before I was married.  He addressed the home before I had one.  He addressed the church in the world before I was born.

These are not ideas that I came up with or my parents or anyone else.  These are truths that God knew that we would need.  He begins the process of purging.  It is the design of God that He begins the purging in a life when men and women are still young.

The question was asked, “How shall an individual clean up their life?” and it is a good question.  It would be good if every boy and girl would begin to ask it in 2015.  They cleanse their life by taking heed to the Word of God.

The reality is that we were born with the nature to sin.  God inspired Paul to teach us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

When an individual sins they begin to acknowledge that “I did wrong.”  Then the conscience either is educated to excuse the wrong or acknowledge, “I did wrong and that puts me in a difficult position with individuals and with God.”

God hates sin.  By this Word of God men and women, children and young people become purged.
With my whole heart have I sought thee.

It is vital that every one of us has a purpose in our life that we are going to seek God with our whole heart and we are going to seek God early.  We cannot turn back time.  If you haven’t sought God with your whole heart, then today is your opportunity.  It is only when we seek God with our whole heart that we position ourselves to not wander away from his way.

If we don’t seek God with our whole heart then we position ourselves to wander.

Psa 119:11  Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

In the process of purging, we are cleansed by His blood.

1Jn 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

There is without question a definite process of being purged.  It begins with an individual recognizing that there is sin in my life:  I am doing things that are displeasing God.  They realize that not only is God displeased, they are displeased.

You cannot be saved for your mother or father, for your husband or your wife.  You cannot have the idea, “I want to be saved because it will position me better in a relationship or in the job.”  We must realize that we need a savior and we need God.

1Jn 1:9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

It is a wonderful thing to know to confess our sins to God.  You might be like I was prior to salvation: not sure you could remember all your sins because they were many.  You don’t have to remember them all but have the attitude, “I am confessing all my sins.  I may not remember them but they are all recorded.”

If you don’t confess your sins and repent, then your sins will meet you at the judgment.  You will not be talking your way out of them or blaming them on society.

If you confess then He is faithful to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness.

John prophesied of Christ and said that one would come that was mightier than He.  “I am not even worthy to carry His shoes or unlatch them.”  What he was teaching was how great the Son of God is.

God loves you.  I am convicted in my greetings to the brothers and sisters in Christ: James referred to “my brethren” and John the beloved referred to those that he was writing to as “the beloved.”  The bible says to salute every saint of God.  That is a commandment.

There is something in us that, when we have the Word of God revealed to us, wants to do what the Word of God says.  I want to be very careful to do so.

We have a mine that has not been closed, and has not been locked up: The Word of God.  That is a treasure.  May God help you and I to be so purged of some of those things that we have gathered on the journey that as John said, “That one that is going to come after me is mightier than I and He will have a fan in his hands and will thoroughly purge the wheat.”

That means that Jesus, who is awesome with that fan, if you are struggling this morning, the same Jesus that causes the chaff to be blown away when the wheat is thrown up, will fan you.  We cry out to God.  Every one of you prayed last week, “I want to be real.  I want to serve you.  I want to live for you.”

Someone last Wednesday night stood and said, “I have a confession to make.  I was shortsighted here or there and God came.”  It is wonderful when God comes out of his chamber in this thought and chooses to come by us in our house, in your classroom, or wherever you are working and says, “I am here because I want to draw you closer.  I am here because you love me and I love you and there is purging that I want to make.”

Thy Word have I hid in my heart:  I wish I would have hid the first scripture that God gave me when I got saved.  You are not saved any time at all, it comes so quickly, and He places a promise in your heart.  “Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.”

Last week many were in situations where you needed divine intervention from God.  You were burdened for a specific soul and God laid a burden on your heart.

It is marvelous how the promise of God comes over, and over, and over again.

Eph 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28  So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Eph 5:29  For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
Eph 5:30  For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

Sometimes husbands are so headstrong that they feel they must conquer whatever it is.  Sometimes wives are headstrong and that is why they have to let their husband help them.  The husband needs to let the wife help him.

Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it.  That He might sanctify and cleanse it by the washing of the water by the Word.

As a member of His church, when you get saved, confess and repent of your sin, then your name is written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life and you become a member of His church.

The bible here teaches us that there is a washing of the water by the Word.  Sometimes it takes a little bit of scrubbing.

We have a pan at my house that we ran under water and it didn’t come clean.  So I put some water with soap in it.  Came back later and it did a pretty good job except for the corner.  We have corners in our life that God sometimes needs to work on.  I got a little scrubber and began to work and it still didn’t come clean.

I got hot water, got soap on it, and let it soak again.  Then when I came back I got that scrubber and worked on it.  It didn’t come off right away but I worked on it and then it came off.

You tell God, “I love you, and He says, “Yes, now let’s go work on the corner.”  We say, “I am burdened for so in so.”  He says, “Yes, but let’s go work in the corner.”

Eph 5:25  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

The glorious church is glorious in the thought that He has called us out of darkness into the marvelous light.  We haven’t made ourselves, it is He that has made us.

Every once in a while you feel that the chairs need to come out and the couch needs to be moved and the corners cleaned.  We say, “I can’t believe how this all got there.”  We say to God, “In the corners of my life I want you to scrub and clean around because I want to be without spot and without wrinkle.”

Isa 43:1  But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

The result of purging is that you are redeemed.  Those things that God has dealt with me on prepare me to deal with those things that are to come.  We don’t know what is around the corner in life.  If you let Him deal with the corner it will redeem you from something that would have caused you a lot of heartache and trouble.

Lu 15 is the account of two sons.  It is a sad story, but a beautiful account of the prodigal son.  One day one of the sons made the choice:

Luk 15:11  And he said, A certain man had two sons:
Luk 15:12  And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
Luk 15:13  And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
Luk 15:14  And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
Luk 15:15  And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
Luk 15:16  And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
Luk 15:17  And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
Luk 15:18  I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
Luk 15:19  And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
Luk 15:20  And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Luk 15:21  And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
Luk 15:22  But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
Luk 15:23  And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
Luk 15:24  For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

The enemy wants to waste what God has given you.  I think of the beautiful songs that we sing; someone requested “The Holiest of Holies” Wednesday night.  That song is profound.  Every time I hear that song it speaks to me.  When you hear the chorus of that song you realize that it was divinely inspired: “Oh Sweet and tranquil Home.”

It is sad that there are high school students that are homeless.  Every night when I bow and pray I thank God for a home.  I thank God daily that I am not in an institution where I don’t know who is coming in and out of my room 24/7.

Many of you are gifted in things as far as this world.  If you are a good seamstress, mechanic, or guitar builder, then thank God.  But let us remember the depths in your soul that God wants to bring out.

That prodigal son said, “Give me everything.”  Then he left.

I am a parent.  You will experience the day or have experienced the day when your son or daughter leaves to go to college or get married or other things.  When that father saw His son going down the road it had an effect on him.

That young man went out and wasted all he had been given with sinful living.  He reached the place where he had nothing left, joined himself to a citizen of whatever country he was in, and they gave him a job of feeding pigs.  He was so down that he would almost have eaten what they were eating then he came to himself.

Sin has never treated any one well.  They may look successful but there is never that peace, that comfort, or that assurance and then there is eternity.

He came to himself and said, “Even my father’s hired servants have everything that they need.  I am going to arise and go back home and say, “Father make me one of thy hired servants.””  If we are going to get to God then we will only get there humbly.

He began going home, but the father was watching.  Isn’t that wonderful?  If you have someone that you are praying for then watch for them.  It is an awesome thing the way that Jesus told this.  It has a great spiritual application.

“Oh if I could just be a servant.”  The father was watching and when he was a great way off, the father ran to meet him.

How close are you to getting saved?  You might say, “I am a ways off.  I am trying to work through something.  Well let’s work through it.

God sees the storm from the other side.  If you are thinking of getting saved then get some of the saints around you and tell them how you see serving God.  “I see that measuring would be tough, I would have to give up some things and having devotions would be hard.”  Get us about you and let us tell you.

Brother Pat Brown was in his eighties when he got saved.  He has passed on, but if he could come back he would say, “Get saved young.”  The thought is seeing it from the other side.

Being saved brings real joy.  It gives us the liberty of laying hold on the promise of God.  It gives you the right things to think about.  It also gives you the power to think about it.  When you have a thought come to your mind that you don’t like, the bible says, “Bring every thought into captivity.”

Let’s say that the thought came that one of the Johns were thinking that being married to Brother Kelly was hard to live with.  If that thought came into my mind and an attitude began to work:  God says, “Let me get into your corner; bring that thought into captivity.  Those brothers love you.”

When the thought comes, “What is going to happen in my life?”  God will take care of you.  Bring that thought into captivity.

The Father saw him afar off.  When an individual is in sin, they really need to come home and feel the Father’s love.  There is nothing like coming home and saying, “God I am sorry, please forgive me.

The prodigal came home and as he was coming home the father had compassion.  If you have messed up in your life the father will have compassion.  He ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

The son said, “I have sinned against heaven and in your sight and I am not worthy to be called your son.”  The Father said, “Bring forth the best robe.”

There is a wonderful robe that is the robe of salvation.  Put a ring on his finger, bring the fatted calf, let us eat and be merry.  For this my son that was lost is found.

He came as a servant and wanting to be saved.  The promise is this:

2Co 6:18  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Wherever you are this morning.  Your home life may be good and your mom and dad may love you, but there is nothing like the love of the heavenly father.  They may take good care of you and try to teach you and that is to be commended.  If they don’t there is nothing you can do about that but you can come to God as a servant and He will treat every one of you just like He has treated everyone else.

We never outgrow Him being our father or us being His sons and daughters.

If there is someone that needs to come home, there is a song that tells the story of the prodigal, “I wandered far away from God.”  How do you get far away from God?  It is an easy process.  Broad is the gate: 24 feet wide, everything goes.  Broad is the way that leads to destruction.

The strait gate is 6 foot wide; not everything can go through.  Narrow is the way that leads to life eternal.

If you need to be purged of sin, let me pray with you this morning.
