Brother Gary Kelly Wednesday Evening 2/27/13

Brother Gary Kelly Wednesday Evening 2/27/13
Psa 65:4  Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Four things we see in this scripture:

Blessed is the man that is called to approach God.  We are blessed to feel called to the place of prayer.  We are blessed when we feel the words of that song, “Alone With God.”  We are blessed when the still small voice tell us that we are called to seek God and find out what He has to say.  We are blessed to be given thoughts and hear the thoughts that God has given others.

We are blessed to know about worship, about reality, about something past friendship: fellowship.  We are blessed to know about edification, to be edifying one to another.  It is not just left to the minister, but we are all to be edifying and edified of one another.

We are blessed to be called to worship.  It brings a satisfaction with the goodness of His courts, the Church of God.  Worship brings the effects of being satisfied with the word of God, with the communion with God, and the Holy Ghost.

1Pe 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Being a purchased possession:  We are a chosen generation…  a peculiar people.  This phrase means “a purchased possession.”  It is wonderful to be purchased, to realize that we are not our own.  It is wonderful all that goes into the thought that we are not our own but belong to God.  We are to glorify God in our body and in our spirit which is God’s.

We are to show forth His praises.  We are very blessed this evening to be called.  We are blessed that we answered the call.  Many are called but few answer the call.  In order to be chosen you must answer the call.

Rev 17:14 it is a real battle against the eighth beast and everything that is gathering itself together in the eighth beast.  The eighth beast shall make war with the Lamb.  You can rest assured that if you have Jesus on the inside, you will have others on the outside that are warring with you.

Karen and I walked into a place where the man that was supposed to greet us had no greeting.  He literally expressed disgust or hatred to us and we had some money to spend.  There was nothing different about us other than we had Jesus.  The Lamb will still overcome.  It doesn’t matter who rises against you or the little tender one, the Lamb will overcome.

God inspired John to tell us that the Lamb is Lord of lords and King of kings.  He is the High God.  This is the true God; this is the one that sent His son that gave His blood that makes an atonement for our sin and even of the sprinkling of blood for healing.

It is a marvelous thing tonight to think of one perfect lamb that came upon the scene that paid the price for all sin and all carnality.  The life that was in that blood overcame death and gives life and life more abundantly.

Those that are with the Lord of lords and King of kings are the called.  They are the ones that have answered the call.  They are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood.  Not only are they the called and chosen, they will be faithful.

Sis Griffin speaks of going into the room of Sister Etta Faith Stewart.  This sister had a heartache from being expelled from India.  This dear sister found an altar somewhere and got a hold of this true God.  She knew that she was a part of the chosen generation and of the royal priesthood.  She knew that she had been moved out by an unholy movement.  She knew that she had been bought with a price and she got a hold of God.

She came back to the states, pastored a bit at Anderson Indiana and then began to pray, “God I need a better mission field than this place.”  She came to camp-meeting and prayed that God would lead her.  She told someone that she would go as far south as you can in the USA and then go to the first island that she found.  They said, “You are going to Cuba.”

She knew the King of kings, the Lord of lords.  She was one that was called, chosen, and faithful.  The church of God is still reaping from her efforts.

Blessed is the man whom thou chooses and causes to approach to thee:  kings and priests worshipping God.  We are blessed to have the wonderful pattern of Tabernacle Worship.  Every once in a while we need to remind our self to go back to Tabernacle worship and make sure that we are covering everything.

The brazen altar is where we are delivered from sin.  I saw a picture of DO Teasley the other day.  A fine looking young man so gifted and used of God.  He didn’t stay with Tabernacle worship, but died with a cigarette in his mouth and said, “I am lost forever.”

We don’t need to be afraid of the laver.  God whatever you want to wash away, I want you to wash.

Jesus is the door.  Once you get inside the door, you find the table of shew bread.  On it there is olive oil to dip the bread in.  There are some herbs in it to make it taste good.  He gives us bread every night and whenever we need, the wonderful Word of God.

The pillar is the overcoming brethren.  Yet I believe that it is more than that.  When you are fighting unbelief then get in and get a hold of the golden pillar, buy gold tired in the fire, the precious faith of God.

The candlestick:  You can get there and ask God to shine His light on the inside of you, on the outside of you, and on everything that you have.

It is wonderful to present yourself a living sacrifice on the golden altar.  We can go there and say, “God it is still there.”  We can go there with the blood of Christ and say, “anything that you want to purge away I want purged.”

You can go into the holiest of holies and find perfect love, perfect communion with God.  There is a place where no other voice can be heard.

There is a lot of noise in the world.  Life is like the waves hitting upon the rocks.  Sometimes we can feel the waves hitting on the rocks, feel the tempest.

There is a place where the storm clouds cannot hit.  We can have perfect hearing, perfectly hearing what the Spirit has to say to the church, and perfect communion with Christ in the Holy Spirit.

We are so blessed.

Brother Gary Kelly Sunday Evening 2/24/13

Brother Gary Kelly Sunday Evening 2/24/13
I have here the ‘hymn story’ book, “Then Sings My Soul.”  I don’t know if I was introduced to this book by Brother Herb or if I found it in my own search for hymn stories.  I have read in it and there are stories that have spoken to me.

All my life from the time I was a child going to the Church of God in Plains to now we have sung, “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.”  I have heard it sung by many different cultures.  Until I read of it, I never had any identity with how this song came to be.

When I read the hymn story, at first I was somewhat disappointed in it and thought that I would never have an opportunity to bring it to others.

The chorus of the song was written in 1887 by a man that really enjoyed music.  He taught in a singing school in Alabama and was staying in a boarding house.  When he got home from school he got two letters each from a former student.  Both of these young men’s wives had died and they were broken hearted.

Deu 33:26  There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
Deu 33:27  The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

As he read these scriptures, he began to ponder, and these words came to his mind, “Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarm; leaning, leaning; leaning on the Everlasting Arms.”

He wrote the chorus and sent it to his friends.  Then he wrote a letter to a hymnist and told him that he had a really good chorus to a song but didn’t have any stanzas.  This hymnist wrote the verses.

I’m glad that in the time of greatest sorrow there has been someone there before us and he wrote this chorus: “Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarm; leaning, leaning; leaning on the Everlasting Arms.”

353 in the hymnal.

Brother Gary Kelly Sunday Morning 2/24/13

Brother Gary Kelly Sunday Morning 2/24/13
Psa 112:1  Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
Psa 112:2  His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

This Psalm starts out with giving praise to God.  Any man that can praise God is a blessed man.  The Bible tells us that the dead cannot praise God.  Even those dead in sin cannot praise God.  The saved man can praise God.  Blessed is the man that fears God.

The generation of the upright shall be blessed.  My thought goes not only to our families but to His seed, God’s seed shall be mighty on the earth.  I want to bring thoughts concerning the seed of the Word of God sown in our hearts that brings the blessing of God.

Luk 8:11  Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

Having the proper respect toward the commandments and the Word of God allows the seed of the Word of God to be sown in our lives.

The sower went forth to sow.  There was an evangelist and six or eight workers that came to plains in the fifties.  Her message was on the sower and she told the pastor, Brother Mullan, that in order for her to preach that night she needed a bag of rice.  She got up to preach and took her text and walked the aisles and began to sow the seed.  It was in that meeting that Sister Beryl’s dad was saved.

I’ve never been brave enough to do this as I preached.  I don’t think it is one of those things that would make for peace with those that clean the church of God here in Paradise.

The seed has had much effect in our personal lives.  Jesus went forward sowing the word of God.  Some of that seed fell on wayside soil.  They heard the Word of God.  Blessed is the man that hears the commandments of God and keeps them, that hears the Word of God.

The wayside soil there was robbed by the fowls of the air; Satan came along and robbed that seed.  The result is that they are lost.

“Wealth and riches shall be in his house.”  How many times has God come to our rescue when the pain was past what we thought we could bear!  When you felt the heartache was heavier and more intense than you thought you could handle how many times he has come to your rescue.

Sinners have the same lot in life in the thought of they have heartache.  But who do they have to go to?  Sometimes the heartache we face is even more pronounced because it is not our heartache but someone else’s.  It hurts inside especially if the one that is hurting has heard the Word, it has departed, and they are lost.

Some of that seed is sown on rocky soil.  We live in a day when there are those that hear the word of God and receive it.  There are quite a few people in Montana and the neighboring states that realize that they need a new beginning but they are not starting on the new beginning.  It is a dangerous thing to hear, receive and go for God a little ways but be rootless.

Sometimes people don’t have much character.  I know a God that will begin building character.  If an individual is wayside, rocky, or thorny and realize that they need a new beginning but don’t have all the tools they need.  If they will begin to seek God and confess that if God went on the past he’d never reach out to them.  They go to God and say, “If you will help me to gain character so that I keep my word, I pay my honest debts, and when I am corrected I receive it, then I can be saved.”

Those on stony soil, when difficult times come, give up.  When people get saved, God carries them a ways and then they come to the place of temptation and they either make the choice, “I would rather have the pleasures of sin then endure the hardship of persecution or difficulty” or “I would rather suffer with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.”

The seed was sown there.  God is no respecter of persons; that seed is sown on all ground.  It is certified seed.  It has been sown before and has produced before.  Some of it falls on thorny ground.  They hear, accept the word of God.  They confess and repent and begin to walk for God.  Then the good seed of the Word of God is choked by cares.

Life will have lots of cares.  The older that you get the larger the cares of life seem to be.  There are those in this audience that see the dirty windows as a small job, “We will wash the windows.”  When the ashes needed taken from the soil, when the garden seed needed planting, it is just a part of life.  As you age, cares seem to multiply.

We want the seed of the Word and we must have it.  We want the wealth of faith and communion of God.  Cares choke the Word of God.  There is not one here that the enemy wouldn’t want to get to go back to being overcharged with cares.

We want to take care of what needs to be done.  But we must put the cares into the lap of the Lord and not allow them to become so big that it takes our meditation, our worship, and our bible study.

Choked by riches:  I don’t know how all of you feel this morning about money, but I’m glad that riches will not choke the Word of God in my life.  I see it as a passing vanity.  Don’t try to figure out how to get rich in this world.  From what I have seen of individuals that labored to be rich, it did not leave them where they wanted to be left nor did it take them to where they wanted to go.

We need to know how much pleasure and rest that we need to have so that we can be effective for Him.  When they brought word to Jesus that John the Baptist had been beheaded, it had an effect on Jesus.  Jesus went out by Himself for a season.

When your work load is heavy, when your burdens are heavy, when your heart has been broken, sometimes you need renewed.  John the Baptist died for right principals.  It affected Jesus and He went out into a mountain.

It may not have been recreation, but it was at the least restoration.  There are things that at times take time for us to work through.  Sometimes we need the help of one another to work through them.  Other times we are only going to work through things by being alone with God.

There are people that allow pleasures to choke God form their life.  You say, “How can I know the balance between having too much pleasure and allowing it to choke the seed of the Word of God from my life and taking time to be restored.”

The answer is found when you allow pleasure to choke the Word of God than it is too much.  The outcome of restoration is feeling drawn close to God.

The result of the thorny ground is that they brought forth no fruit to perfection.  Fruit is our goal.

The good soil was those that received the Word in an honest and a good heart.  The honest and the good heart is something that we get from God.  We may not all come as wayside soil, but we all come to Him as soil that needs worked, soil that needs to be broken up, and needs the rocks removed.  We all would have roots of thorns that would spring up our life to choke the Word of God.

We are right in praying for ourselves.  “God make me good ground.”  The good ground has three pronounced things:  they hear the word of God, they keep the word of God, and they bear fruit with patience.

I love to hear the word of God in the morning, hear it being taught, sung, preached, and exhorted upon.

Psa 112:1  Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
Psa 112:2  His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
Psa 112:3  Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

The seed of the Word of God brings treasures to our house.

Psa 112:4  Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

As you journey for God there will be some dark places and there will be times when you don’t know which way to go or answers that you don’t have.  To that man, woman, boy, and girl that fears God, that light will shine.

The effects of the Word of God in our life will bring a graciousness to us, will bring compassion.  I’ve been praying that God will send godly sorrow.  In order for you and me to see godly sorrow upon souls, we need God to do a work in our lives so that we will have compassion on that individual.

They will have a brokenness take place.  They will see where they failed and failed utterly.  You and I being as hard as nails will not position us to where we can help that one that has godly sorrow.

Psa 112:5  A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

We can have compassion.  God will help.  He will guide his affairs with discretion.  Discretion means with the thought of eternity in view.

Psa 112:6  Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
Psa 112:7  He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

It is wonderful to have it settled.  To have our heart fixed on Jesus trusting in the Lord

Psa 112:8  His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

I’ve come to the conviction and conclusion that my prayer for my enemy is that “God move on them with godly sorrow because I don’t want to see any lost in hell.”

Psa 112:9  He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

To some the only kindness that they will experience is that kindness that you give them.  God has a way of taking care of your horn being exalted.

1Pe 3:7  Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
1Pe 3:8  Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
1Pe 3:9  Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

Brothers in the flesh should really love each other.  My brother Bill was as defensive of my brother Jack as if Jack was still alive, defensive, and standing there.  We need to love one another as brothers.  We need to have that intestinal fortitude that we love our brother.

Be pitiful: really have compassion on one another.  Be courteous not rendering evil for evil or railing for railing but do just the opposite, put out a blessing.

You are called that you should inherit a blessing.  “Do right by them so that you don’t mess up your inheritance.”  What is the inheritance?  Our prayers can be answered.  I need my prayers answered.  More than feeling good, more than having my favorite food, more than a blessing of whatever, knowing that God will answer my prayer is what I want.

Your mind will go to families that are hurting.  Our prayer would be that God would be there.  You know some of the requests that were called in last week and they are urgent.  More than God giving us river front property, we need our prayers answered.

Pray for me that I will treat others right.  Be of one mind.

Sister Brenda Sunday School 2/24/13

Sister Brenda  Sunday School 2/24/13
The fear of God does not produce terror but instead delivers from it.  It is reverence and respect.

Examples of those that did not fear God:

Act 5:1  But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
Act 5:2  And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
Act 5:3  But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Act 5:4  Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
Act 5:5  And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
Act 5:6  And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
Act 5:7  And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
Act 5:8  And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
Act 5:9  Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
Act 5:10  Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.
Act 5:11  And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

This couple conspired together to be dishonest about the sale of the land.  It was stupid and they did not get by with it.  God help us to in every area of our life to be honest with God and with each other.
Great fear fell upon them all.  When we hear of examples of others it brings a check upon us and it should.

Brother Bill: I’ve noticed in my life there are times when things happen and in our own flesh we would make moves, decisions, or steps that would be contrary to what God would have us to do.  But because of having the fear of God on my heart it keeps me from doing those things.
Before I was saved, if someone did me wrong or crossed me, I would make moves according to the flesh that would not be good.  The fear of God today keeps me in check.  Even though I’m saved and sanctified, if in the flesh I would make moves contrary to what God would want me to do, the fear of God keeps me.
In the flesh when someone hurts me it would cause me to bolt.  In the flesh when someone does me wrong, I would just leave, but the fear of God keeps a person in check and causes us not do the things that would be unwise to do.
What I got from what Brother Bill told me last week was that he was tempted in the flesh to give up and just leave.  It is always wrong to avoid the house of God because you are hurt or have a problem.  We’ve seen many backsliders that became lax about being in the house of God.  Being together is where our strength is.

I wonder if that is one of the reasons why God’s word instructs us to deny our self, forsake all, and he that loses his life will find it.  If we don’t forsake all, something will get us out of the way.

In the Gospels it talks of the children causing their parents to be put to death.  I think of the example when the children are out of order the parents don’t take care of it because they cherish the children more than the Word of God.

We must have God in first place; dig deep down to the rock.  If we don’t then something will sidetrack us and get us to fall away from God and be offended.

Exo 32:1  And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

This is unbelievable to me, it happened to these people and it can happen to us.  Moses hadn’t been gone for long and they were saying, “We don’t know what has happened to this man, Moses.”

Exo 32:2  And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.

Aaron said, “Break off your earrings.”  He feared men instead of God.  Aaron had just been with Moses when all the miracles had happened.

Exo 32:3  And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.
Exo 32:4  And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
Exo 32:5  And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.
Exo 32:6  And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

Here is the fruit of what they did, they sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.  Turning away from God will cause us to be earthly minded and want to be entertained.

1Co 10:1  Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
1Co 10:2  And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1Co 10:3  And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1Co 10:4  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
1Co 10:5  But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
1Co 10:6  Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
1Co 10:7  Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
1Co 10:8  Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
1Co 10:9  Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
1Co 10:10  Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
1Co 10:11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
1Co 10:12  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Examples of those that feared God:

Gen 50:15  And when Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him.
Gen 50:16  And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying,
Gen 50:17  So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.
Gen 50:18  And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants.
Gen 50:19  And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?
Gen 50:20  But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
Gen 50:21  Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.

These brothers feared God now, but had not when they sold Joseph.  What we do when we are young we will never forget.  It affected them their whole life.  Sin will have an effect upon us all our life.  It is great sadness to be there on the death bed with only regrets.

The fear of God caused Joseph to say, “Fear not for am I in the place of God?”  Joseph after all his suffering had the attitude, “God meant it for good.”

Job feared God:

Job 1:6  Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
Job 1:7  And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
Job 1:8  And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Job 1:9  Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?
Job 1:10  Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
Job 1:11  But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Job 1:12  And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Job feared God and God knew it and recognized it.  God knows us and we are going to be tried.  God knows us as He knew Job.

Deu 10:12  And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

God does require us to fear Him.  We will not get by or prosper if we don’t have the fear of God in our lives.

Jos 24:14  Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

Fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity.  Take it seriously.

Isa 8:13  Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

Mat 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

We never know when that place will come in our life.  God help us to fear God more than suffering.  Fear God at any cost.  God will help us whatever life will bring if we fear, reverence, and honor him more than anything else in our life.

1Pe 1:17  And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

1Pe 2:17  Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

Let us honor one another.

The promises to those that do fear God:

1Sa 12:14  If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God:

We have a job to do.  The promise is then we will continue following the Lord our God.  We have the promise of His blessing if we fear and obey and not rebel.  It is only by following God that we will maintain our freedom.  If the fear of God will fall upon our nation…, oh how we need that!

Psa 25:12  What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

If we fear the Lord, he will teach us.  We need God’s teaching in so many areas of our life.  Every child has special needs that are just theirs.  How parents need direction from God.  All must be backed by the Word of God.  With the Word of God and the many helps that are available to us today we can be awesome parents.  If we fear God then He will teach us.  We are taught by each other too, by examples.

Sister Dorothy: Move with fear, don’t just hastily do something.  This is something that God taught me through my husband.

Psa 31:19  Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

Isa 50:10  Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
