Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 5/7/14

Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 5/7/14
Rev 2:1  Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

The message was sent to the ministry.  It comes from Jesus.  Jesus only walks among the golden candlesticks.

We want to keep it real, maintain what God has given us, and have an attitude, “Father, search us.  Have the fire bring up the dross; for we must be the golden candlesticks.”

Rev 2:2  I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
Rev 2:3  And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Rev 2:4  Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Rev 2:5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Rev 2:6  But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
Rev 2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

You study from Old Testament teachings to the end times and among the things that have been predominant is that there has been a condition of men and women becoming dull of hearing.  We need to have God quicken our hearing.

They were dull of hearing in Isaiah’s day and in Jesus’ day.  Here Jesus sent a message to the seven churches of Asia, “He that has the ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith.”

It is so easy to lose focus and to become dull of hearing.

Stay in love with God.  Brother Maconahae said, “My goal is to help these saints to love, God and truth and each other so much that they will never depart from truth, the love toward Christ and His church.”

We live in a day where for everyone that has exchange with individuals in the world it will callous you if at all possible.  People live so wicked.  Children are neglected.  Children don’t know who their dad is.  Children are born into this world and mom’s and dad’s are not even married.

May God help us as the church to keep sin exceedingly sinful.  I’ve been preaching on being sensitive, a new babe has 10,000 or more taste buds in their mouth and throat.  The reason is that God did not want those babies taking in poison.  He wanted them to have a taste for that which God ordained for them to eat.

We will lose our taste buds if we will take in what the world has to offer.  People have bad attitudes and whatever.  Pretty soon our taste buds will let it come down and come down, and come down…

Murmuring and complaining is terrible because of what it does against revival and everything that is wholesome and good.

I thought of the marvel and miracle that God ordained that a baby be able to nurse.  God ordained us with senses to see, to hear, to partake, to feel… May God help us to keep them sharp so that for anything that is foreign a red flag goes up and we realize that this could be the damnation of my soul.

Rev 2:5  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

May God help every one of us if we are not where we have been in the very top of our experience and sensitiveness.  May God help us to remember our covenant with God, “God I’ll be quiet, I’ll spend more time in prayer.”

As bad as times are, we need prayer meetings every day.  Places where we spend time with God.

Remove the candlestick except thou repent:
Never begin to play spiritually.  Never play church.  The institution of the church is never a playground.  May God help every one of us to bring the play spirit into subjection and say, “We are the church of the living God.”  The church is not a play center; we are the army of God.

Rev 2:6  But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

May God help every one of us to keep moral sin exceedingly sinful.  Anything that is unclean is wrong and may God help us to hate it and have backbone enough to say that it is wrong.  Your family is not perfect.

Rev 2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

We must have an ear to hear.  You hear, you get a hold of God, you hear from God, you have God coming into your heart and saying, “Don’t lose your focus.”

God will not forget Zion.

Isa 49:13  Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
Isa 49:14  But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
Isa 49:15  Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Isa 49:16  Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
Isa 49:17  Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.

Zion is the city of the living God.  We have come to Mount Zion, The city of the living God.  May God help us to be so alive that every time we come to the Church of God we are alive.  Don’t come in all tired and playing all day Saturday yawning and wondering when I will be done preaching.

God created the ear.

Psa 94:9  He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

When David felt his foot slipping:

Psa 94:18  When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
Psa 94:19  In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

When you feel everything moving in just like that, (all woolied up in the mind, stressed and don’t know where you are), get a hold of God and let His word delight your soul.  Get comforts from the God that delights your soul.  Let us not forget where we came from and what we have come to.
