Brother Kale Sunday Morning 6/22/14

Brother Kale Sunday Morning 6/22/14
It is a simple gospel.  If we all have the same spirit we will all speak the same thing and have the love of God and fellowship with one another.  “By this shall men know that you are my disciples if you have love one for another.”

If you don’t have that true love then we will not have the true unity.  Instead there will be competition, emulation, and strife.

We have a message from four lepers.

We enjoy the wonderful good things in the service of the Lord.  It is a good life living for the Lord.  We are not here just to enjoy a good life.  It is a part of it, but we are here and saved for service of God.

2Ki 7:1  Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

Israel was under siege and in a state of famine.  Here the prophet was promising that there would be provision.

2Ki 7:2  Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.
2Ki 7:3  And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
2Ki 7:4  If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
2Ki 7:5  And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.
2Ki 7:6  For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

Brother Bill and I were reminiscing of older Brother Heinz, he was a dear brother.  At Phoenix Camp-meeting he acted out the shuffle of the four leprous men being magnified being magnified by God as a hundred chariots.  It could have been.  Whatever it was it was a miracle of the Lord.

The beautiful thing of the Lord taking care of His people is that sometimes He works miracles to do so.  He is able; therefore we have faith in Him.

2Ki 7:7  Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
2Ki 7:8  And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it.
2Ki 7:9  Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.

Here is where we have our message.

2Ki 7:10  So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were.
2Ki 7:11  And he called the porters; and they told it to the king's house within.
2Ki 7:12  And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city.
2Ki 7:13  And one of his servants answered and said, Let some take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city, (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: behold, I say, they are even as all the multitude of the Israelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see.
2Ki 7:14  They took therefore two chariot horses; and the king sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see.
2Ki 7:15  And they went after them unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king.
2Ki 7:16  And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD.
2Ki 7:17  And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him.

We enjoy many benefits as saved people.  We want you to know, true Christian people, that God has not made you such to horde the benefits.  It is a simple message but we need to be reminded of it.  We can get caught up in the American way that gravitates after pleasures and serves itself.

We don’t need to be a part of that way.  There is a better way.  We can live in the service of God and make sure others are happy too.  God is happy, he sent us with the great commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel.

There are wonderful benefits to serving God.  It is not God’s plan that this bounty be reserved for the very few.  The lepers were instructed by their consciences to go and let the king’s house know.

We are told to do good to all men especially to the household of faith.  We have an obligation not only to the lost world but also to the house of faith.  Saved people are special people and are beautiful people.  They are royal blood made so by God.

God has exalted His people.  There are also those whom God wants to be His people.  We have an obligation and pleasure to share with those.  I have thought and puzzled and would like to know how to go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come.

There must be a way and God help us and give us wisdom that we can compel people: make them feel, “I must get to God.”  This is not just an obligation but a privilege to do so.

Psa 107:1  O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psa 107:2  Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

If you are redeemed then you have something to say.  The disciples didn’t know much when they went out on the day of Pentecost.  They knew, “The man I was I no longer am.”  They were redeemed and let it be known what God had done for them.

You say that you don’t have a dynamic testimony; being saved is a miracle.  If you have been saved and made a new creature then that is a miracle.  People have tried to live free from their sin on their own and cannot.  No man can save any.

Psa 107:3  And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
Psa 107:4  They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
Psa 107:5  Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
Psa 107:6  Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
Psa 107:7  And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

Do you remember how it was?  Have you found that city of habitation?  It is Zion.  All His springs are in her.  We want to take part of those springs.

He satisfies and has a habitation prepared for whom?  Just a certain few?  No it is for whosoever will.

There was a minister named, Richard Bachelor.  He said that he was glad the scripture didn’t say it was for Richard Bachelor but for whosoever will.  If it had said his name then he would have been tempted to wonder if it meant another Richard and not him.  He said, “It says whosoever will so that I can receive.”

Psa 107:8  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Psa 107:9  For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
Psa 107:10  Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
Psa 107:11  Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
Psa 107:12  Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
Psa 107:13  Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
Psa 107:14  He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
Psa 107:15  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

What men and women ought to be the leaders in this?  If God’s people who are saved don’t then no one will do it.

I shudder to think where I would be if God had not intervened when He did.  I offered myself as one of those whosoevers and He had compassion and saved me.

Psa 107:16  For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
Psa 107:17  Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
Psa 107:18  Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
Psa 107:19  Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
Psa 107:20  He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Psa 107:21  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Doesn’t this elicit some praise from you?  Do you remember where you were and the pit that God brought you out of?  It should elicit some praise.

Psa 107:22  And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

Don’t keep it all to yourself.  We are saved to share with the lost world.  Yes, it is a part of it to enjoy; we enjoy a busy life of service, service to God and to others.

Psa 107:31  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Psa 107:32  Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

Are we a congregation?  We are a congregation because we are a group of saved people that God has saved from many things.  If God has kept you this last week then that is a miracle that no man can do.  God has delivered us from the pit and has kept us out of it by miracles.  We have something to be thankful for.

If we will not thank Him in the congregation then we will not thank Him out there.

Psa 107:33  He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
Psa 107:34  A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
Psa 107:35  He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
Psa 107:36  And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;

In verse 7 it says that they might go to the city.  Here it says that they may prepare a city for habitation.  This says to not do as the lepers could have done: cart it off and squirrel it away in a cave, but to prepare provision for others.

Share.  We are not the only ones in the world.  We are among countrymen.  We need to carry through and help others.

These were temporal things that would come and go.  We are talking about things that will last forever.  We have things to share.  We are rich.  We have all the resources of the Father’s house.  Should we not share?

It is beautiful to be a part of the Father’s house.  Should we not share?  There is laughter that rings out.  It is beautiful.  Other people need that same thing.  They desperately need it.

We think especially of children that are out there.  You know how it is.  Children that are young are very impressionable.  How our Heavenly Father would like to see responsible people take those children in and give them a safe home.  Often sad to say the home is not safe, but there are especial dangers.  That is grievous.

People desperately need what we have.  They need to be able to furnish their homes with what we have.  The riches and wealth that we have in our homes is not material.  It is the Work of God in the life.

God has given us this to offer to others.  It is what they need.  May we see the privilege of sharing with others what God has given us.  If you can communicate then you can tell your testimony.  People need to hear about the miracle that changes lives especially in this day.

Our message as Gods people is getting so rare.  A Christian used to be a ‘Christ like person’.  In the religious circle to many of them it doesn’t mean that anymore.  They look at the grace of God as an umbrella over the life, the grace of God covers and God cannot see the unrighteousness that is going on under the umbrella.

You are destined to hear at the judgment day, “Depart from me, you that work iniquity.”

The message that you can live a holy life is unique to the people of God.  There is one man that I know of that stood up and said, “We need to live holy lives.”  Yet in his life there is pride and divisiveness.

Most so called religious people today say that you cannot be saved from sin.  I went back and talked to a man and said, “God cleaned my life and saved me from sin.”  He said, “That sounds like boasting.”

I couldn’t do it in myself, I tried.  We are boasting in the Lord and that is the right kind of boasting.

We are saved that we may not only dwell in the beautiful city of habitation, but to make sure it is prepared for others.  The main way we prepare is to make sure the stones of vanity and emptiness are cast out from our own lives.  That you may do.

An example of a stone that causes stumbling:  You may have owned a real aggressive, blunt, curt to the point of rude social way.  People that have that may think that it is a good thing.  It is good to be honest but it is also good to have tact and be gentle.

You can take that skill and ‘virtue’ that you have honed all your life and find that it will hurt people of the household of faith or people that may want to come in.  If you try to incorporate it in God’s building then it will never incorporate.  The best thing is to cast it out.  Thank God by His grace we can do that.

By doing that we not only make sure that we are successful but we prepare a habitation for others.  We need mature people in the church of God.  It is only mature people that can be a mature mother.  The church of God is the mother of us all.

A little girl that loves to mother dolls will never be a good mother unless she becomes mature.  We need adults in God’s church and we need to be those adults.  We cannot leave it to someone else or to just one or two.  Every one of us is called to that vocation: to serve, not just be concerned about our own welfare and happiness, but to save the world.

Pro 24:27  Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.

There is a proper order.  We will never help the world or save the world until we are rooted and grounded in truth ourselves.  It will not happen otherwise.  You can skirt around it and roll up your sleeves and get to work but it will not happen.  You need the sustenance coming into your own soul before you can give out to others.

Have that fountain of living water springing up: I have enough for myself and such a surplus that I have it springing up.  God is able to do that but will not do it without our cooperation.  We need to be in the Word, have the Spirit and Let Him guide us to higher heights and deeper depths.

Make your own life fit for sustenance and help; then you can go out and help your brother.  That is that proper order.

Psa 107:37  And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

Make sure we have the proper order.  Doers of the Word, then it will yield fruits of increase.  As we sow the seed and receive the seed into our hearts then it will increase.

Psa 107:38  He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

Temporal things of the Old Testament translate to eternal things in the Gospel Day.  If we sow bountifully then we will reap bountifully.  That is the Word of God.

Do you want to see the church increase?  We all do.  There is something that you can do.  Make sure that you are rooted and grounded, all the stoned are cast out and you are doing all you know to do toward the lost world.

If you are not doing it in the congregation then you are not likely to be doing it in the world.  Do you have ears to hear, are you doing the Word?  Then be silent no more.

Can you say, “I thank God that He saved me,” and you mean it?  People can see when something is real.  Then you go out and prove what is that acceptable will of God and it will drive a point home.

You don’t have to have a special gift.  All of us can do this.

Psa 107:39  Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
Psa 107:40  He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
Psa 107:41  Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
Psa 107:42  The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

What a potent mission that is.  We have opposition in high places; it cannot take away from our testimony that we are a new creature in high places.

Psa 107:43  Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

God has saved us for a purpose we can fulfill that purpose by His grace.

Gal 6:2  Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Gal 6:10  As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

We have received good.  God said, freely we have received, freely give.  That is the blest life.  It is more blessed to give than to receive.  We will find ourselves blessed many-fold if we give our lives over to Him.

Mat 5:13  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Mat 5:14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Mat 5:16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Go out and prove ‘what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God’.  You must have full salvation, salvation and sanctification, if you do then your light will shine.  You will not be hording the benefits.  It is a good life; we admit freely.  It is not to be kept to ourselves and hogged and horded.

Mar 5:18  And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

We enjoy good things in heavenly places.  Our service is not within these walls.  We do have services and we get together but it is only a place to get our battery charged.  The work is out there.

It is wonderful to sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to one another who have given their lives to Jesus and hear the words of Jesus.

This man desired, “Let me sit at the feet of Jesus and then I will be complete.”  Jesus suffered him not but:

Mar 5:19  Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

Have you been delivered from your sin?  Then you have something to tell and you have an equal miracle as this man that was delivered from devils.

He was a doer of the work.

Mar 5:20  And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

I know there are some that will mock.  In the end the truth will win out.  They can poo-poo and say, in a few days you will be back in the old life, but you stay true and prove what God will do for anyone that will serve Him.

1Co 10:31  Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Not do to the satisfaction of yourself but do for the glory of God.

1Co 10:32  Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
1Co 10:33  Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

We are learning the message from four lepers.  It is a biblical principle that the gifts of God are not given to horde but to be shared.

Should there be those that are not truly saved, we want you to listen to this scripture.  There are many things offered by people that claim to have the gospel.  They say that you can sin and still get to God’s heaven. That is not the true gospel but a cheap counterfeit.

If you are embracing that doctrine of sinning religion, you will find yourself on the wrong side at the Judgment.

Isa 28:14  Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
Isa 28:15  Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

They say, “We’ve made an agreement with the cause of death and hell.  We think we have made a truce.”  That cause is sin.  It is to blame.

God’s visitation or judgments of His Word or the final judgment will pass through that refuge.  Lies will not be a refuge.

Any religion no matter what they call themselves, even church of God.  If they don’t teach and preach deliverance from death and hell, then it is false.

Isa 28:16  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
Isa 28:17  Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
Isa 28:18  And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Folks be warned.  If you are sympathizing with sin in some way in your own life, you will not make it to heaven.  If you are hanging onto that thing that is destined to the flames of hell, then you will go with it.  As the tree falls so will it be judged.

‘We being delivered from all our enemies…’, delivered from every single sin, down to ‘innocent, white lies’.  White lies are as black as they can be.  God can deliver us from every enemy so that we can serve Him all the days of our lives.

Isa 28:21  For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

The gospel is a strange work to people because it is miraculous in what it can do.

Isa 28:22  Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

There is a whole church world out there that makes fun of this message.  They may say, “Oh you can live holy, let me get a bucket of water and see if you can walk on it.”  Don’t be in that number.

When mercy’s gate is shut then it is over for you.  No man can come to God except the Spirit draw him.

Isa 28:23  Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.

If you have one sin on board then you can never enter there.  If you feel God tugging on you then you know that there is better for you.  There is hope.  He can give you a new life and make you a new creature if you let Him.

Will you be wise?  Heaven will be filled with the wise.  The wonderful thing about it is that we can all be wise.
