Brother Kale Saturday Evening 6/21/14

Brother Kale Saturday Evening 6/21/14
There are a lot of people that say they are gathering every Sunday in his name, but they are not gathering in truth because they are not in obedience to His Word.  In Sardis they had a name that they were living but were dead.  ‘In His name’ is in obedience to His Word and that is the only name where He is in attendance.

I love the hymns that we sung, “I was a friendless wanderer but Jesus took me in.”  When I got saved, I found out that I wasn’t so friendless.  Some of my earliest friends were right here.  I tagged along with my grandma and Sister Beryl.  Here I felt a burning in my soul.  If I wanted to play church I went to Plains.  I felt God here.

I thank God for those friends that are here, and for those that are still here.

When the Old Testament prophesies of the Gospel day and talks of killing and destroying, it is speaking of killing off carnality and the carnal man.  It is a hopeful work that ministers life.  The Lord is a skillful when using the Sword of the Word of God.

Isa 34:1  Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it.
Isa 34:2  For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.
Isa 34:3  Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.
Isa 34:4  And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.
Isa 34:5  For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.
Isa 34:6  The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idumea.
Isa 34:7  And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.
Isa 34:8  For it is the day of the LORD'S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

We want to talk tonight of the controversy of Zion.  There is a controversy not with God or the Word of God, but people have a controversy with Zion.  Go out and try to tell a religious person that you can live holy and free from sin.  Chances are you will have a verbal controversy on your hands.  There will be a disagreement.

The controversy of Zion in three corners:

They are no brainers for the saints.  It is a simple gospel.  You will find that doting about questions happens.  Doting on questions is an undue or morbid, diseased obsession with questions.  You can take all the gospel has to say about sin and sum it up like this:  God doesn’t like it and you cannot do it and go to heaven.  Period.  People add a question mark to the end of every statement instead of a period.

A good example is the beautiful chapter of Romans 6 and 8.  Sandwiched in-between is another beautiful chapter of Romans 7.  There Paul is recounting his days under sin.  It is clear.  It is like a present tense hunting story.  I go down this road, see an elk, and raise my gun to my shoulder.

Paul says “What I would I do not…”  He is talking of under sin.

What they do with chapter 6 and chapter 8: they take the doting questions from chapter 7 and thereby nullify chapter 6 and chapter 8.  People will stand speechless in the judgment.  The Lord will say, “Depart from me ye that work iniquity I do not know you like you say that you know me.”

The gospel is clear for those that will just listen.

Who is the true God?  The Christ of this and that Christian church is not my Christ.  Their God is not the God of the Bible.

Where does He dwell?  That is a question in people’s minds.  Some say: “The Catholic, the mother church, that is where God dwells.”  Others say: “Lutheran had backbone and busted out of that thing and that is where God dwells.”  If Luther knew where the Lutheran church was standing today Luther would turn in his grave.

I was reading in the local paper in a section set aside for questions and answers about Lutheranism.  One question was, “Why do Lutherans sin boldly?”  The answer:  “Because they are at the same time a saint and a sinner.”

This is so in your face contrary to the Word of God.  They would answer this with, “We like Romans 7 better than 6 or 8.  They say, “We are just like Paul.”  If so then you need to do as Paul on the road to Damascus.

What does God expect of us?  This is a real controversy.  Not with the saints, we know the Lord expects holiness.  There is too much in the Word of God to even think of denying it.  The true God is defined by the answers to the other two questions.

Isa 34:9  And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.

This doesn’t sound too inhabitable.  It is talking of, in the gospel day, any place that is not Zion but has a controversy with Zion.

Isa 34:10  It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

This is the fate ultimately for any that is not Zion.

Isa 34:11  But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness.

This doesn’t sound like God’s building.  God’s building starts with the sure foundation, the rock of salvation, Jesus Christ.  In Canaan, their inheritance was giving by line.  They basically surveyed it.  They gave portions to different tribes.

We sing the song, “I know where I’ve been, I know where I am going and I know where I am standing today.”  I know the portion that God has given me.  I know the boundaries.  All that is in the portion of Mt Zion is holy.  This is the law of the house.  There is no confusion there or crossing over into worldly lines.  Thank God for it.

Have you seen ruins?  They look lonely.  In ancient Aztec ruins where stones were once stacked around in an orderly manner, they are scattered around.  We picture winds blowing through it and there being loneliness.

In the badlands there is no order but stones strewn.  There is no order and it would make you think of the stones of emptiness, no heritage there, there is nothing that you would like to call, “The old home place.”  We cannot imagine a heritage there.

On the other hand, when we think of a lush forest with beautiful cedar and fir trees, trout in the streams, fertile soil that would grow crops, we can think, “What a homestead that would be!  What a beautiful productive place.”

So it is spiritually.  God has made a beautiful place for us.  Some are like the prodigal that try to come back to the father’s house and bring the husks with them.  You cannot get a heritage that way.  You cannot build in God’s kingdom with the stones of emptiness.

We thank God that there is a surer way than that.

All the streams and springs are found spiritually in Zion.  The streams that would be found in false religion would be like to burning pitch and brimstone.

Isa 34:9  And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.
Isa 34:10  It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

It is no place to pass through much less to live and abide.  It is a picture of anyplace that is not God’s and any heritage that is not Canaan.

If we are not building on the Rock, Christ Jesus, or with His materials then we are building with something that is marked for destruction.  The lines of confusion are the heritage of false religion.  That is all that they will ever have unless they flee.  It is no place to sojourn much less to stay.

My relatives have said, “I’m going to stay and help them.”  They were not able to help them but were instead destroyed.  We are wise to take God’s admonition and flee from her.  She will not be healed.

You can imagine how unlivable a situation will be if the dust is brimstone and the streams pitch.  That is how deadly false religion is.  We have found it our self; it is no place to be played with.

There is a toxic atmosphere there.  There may be right reasons, if they asked me to come preach, in some cases I would do that.  They probably would not ask me to do it.  In some cases, I would feel that I was casting pearls before swine.  It is a toxic place to spirituality.

We are here to impart to Babylon a message, “Come out.  God has something better, an atmosphere conducive to spiritual life.”  They need to come out.

Isa 34:12  They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing.

Zion is full of kings and priests, princes and princesses ruling over sin and self.  They shall call and there shall be no princes there.  No one can stay there and still be ruling over the world and sin itself.  Therefore they will not be there for long.

Isa 34:13  And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.
Isa 34:14  The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.

These are all creatures of the night and darkness.

Isa 34:15  There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.
Isa 34:16  Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

There is a gathering.  There is a gathering into God’s camp and there is a gathering into the enemy’s camp.  The majority of so called Christian religion is being gathered into Satan’s camp.

Some would say, “As far as Islam and other religions in the world the Christian church is still the minority and we are still all going to be among the remnant that gets to heaven.”  On the left side in Revelations, He mentions all the so called Christian world and said that there would be many on the left side.

Those that find the straight and narrow way and are on the right side are going to be few.  He said there are many on the left and few on the right when talking of Christians.

To the majority of Christian religion on the left hand it is said, “Depart from me ye that work iniquity.”  They are by choice gathering with those that are sympathizing with darkness.  Wherever darkness is sympathized with, it takes over.

The scripture talks of the single eye and the diseased eye.  If the eye has any darkness then it completely blinds the eye to where you are dwelling wholly in darkness.

Isa 34:17  And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.

Here is the line of confusion, the line of darkness and the stones of emptiness.  They are building in Babylon.  We have a mega church in our area.  They are huge, like big auditoriums where you would have a big basketball game.  Every stone is a stone of emptiness.

It is a spiritual meat market.  There is a market for souls.

The Lord has better than that.  He has cast a lot.  This is a heritage of darkness, and unclean birds.  They shall possess it forever.  It takes your mind to Revelations.  This is an inheritance to creatures of darkness.  If you stay there you will become one and that is all you will have forever more.

Rev 18:1  And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
Rev 18:2  And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
Rev 18:3  For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
Rev 18:4  And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Rev 18:5  For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

We see clear lines drawn.  Thank God for the lines that God has imparted to us to show our inheritance.  They are not lines of confusion.  I could go to Real Life Ministries and get quickly a thousand people to disagree with me.  It will not diminish my inheritance one bit.  It is just as sure as God’s Word.

People will confuse you.  If they put a question mark where God puts a period, then they can excuse themselves.  My son was talking to someone that liked a good fight.  He was all about argument.  The clear Word was brought and there were questions raised questioning that Word.

How much better to take, “Thus sayeth the Lord.”  It is a much better inheritance.  It becomes confusion when you begin questioning the Word of God.

Falseness has a controversy with Zion.

Isa 57:15  For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Here we have largely the answer to all the questions that were asked, all the questions that would comprise the controversy with Zion.

God is the high and holy one that inhabits eternity.  The other answers show who God is and where God dwells.  He dwells with those that are broken and contrite.  They have allowed God to break their carnality and throw it in the fire and they are not going to stomp it out.  They are going to allow it to stay there.

Where God dwells:  It is talking singularly, “With him; with her.”  Not “With them.”  When you get him and her together that have God on board, truly then you can rightly say, “With them.”

People have it in their mind, “We are the church of God and have had a camp-meeting here for decades.  We have a tradition therefore if you are associated with this body then you must be the church of God.”  If you are not dwelling with God personally then you are the farthest thing from it.  They have an identity: “I am innocent by association.”  They are careless but have the thought, “I am going to heaven.”

If we become like this then we will be the habitation of those that dwell in darkness.  You will become a creature of darkness and if others do too then you will become a habitation of those full of darkness.

What does God expect of us?  God wants to dwell with them to revive the spirit of the humble and the heart of the contrite ones.  I brought a message a while back of the most important sign that the Spirit has to impart to us.  It is the sign of life from death.  It is the greatest sign.

If you have not life from death then everything else is sounding brass and tinkling cymbal and worse.  There is no greater sign than life from death.  Anyone that is truly spiritual has been raised from the dead.  You cannot tell me that salvation is not real.  I have seen it is others and have experienced it myself.  It is real.

We can know where God is, that He is there and has the power to revive.  You say that you have been raised from death to life?  Then show me.  The wages of sin is death.  Show me that you are saved from sin.  Sin is the vehicle that will take you to damnation.

If you cannot prove it here then there will not be some magical vehicle that will save you from damnation after death.

He sent His Son to die so that we can die to our own carnal ways and be alive.  The judgment day will be too late.  There will be no revival then.  We can be revived right now and God expects life out of those that have been revived.

Isa 7:14  Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Here is a sign.

Luk 2:34  And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;
Luk 2:35  (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

What is this sign?  It is the sign of life from the dead.  Where there was sinful death, God revealing the sinful condition to many people.  The thoughts of the hearts revealed, so that they can get things right through His grace and do as Jesus said, “Go and sin no more.”

It says that this sign will be spoken against.  There will be a big controversy swirling around.

The controversy is born of doting about questions, but at the root of it is, “I want some of my fleshly temporal treasures and heaven and God too.”  It will not mix.  Idolatry in the Old Testament would not mix with Godly worship.  It will never work.

Idolatry will usurp the place of God almighty in our heart and life.

The disciples asked, “Who then can be saved.”  With men it is impossible.  You cannot get men out of a deadly state.  Sometimes medical people can bring them back if the spark of life is not far away.  But they cannot bring life into a dead body even though they have all the parts together and in order.  With men it is impossible but with God all things are possible.

God is able to bring life from the dead.  That is where God and God’s people abide.

“Without holiness no man shall see the Lord.”  That is not out there somewhere, it is here and now.  People cannot see who God truly is out there in religion.

Isa 33:14  The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
Isa 33:15  He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
Isa 33:16  He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

That is clear isn’t it?  I’m not confused about that, are you?  This is a description of a wonderful heritage.   Just today being in the Word, the manna, the water of life, I began to think of the different scriptures and how they are so in line with one another.  I thought, I have to get a hold of this or I will have the whole word of God involved.

It never fails of a blessing to have the Holy Spirit lead in the Word of God.  It never fails to bless to feel the one at the helm in the storm.  It is perilous times.  We need that guide.  We must have it.  How our hearts burn within us to have Him right there and speak to us, teach us, and guide us.

Isa 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

The ideal of the Word of God, what God wants it to accomplish, is that people allow it to do surgery on them.  It is to be as a two edged sword, able to divide between good and evil.  It wants to purge people and make their lives trouble free as far as sinful and selfish things go.

The Word will accomplish a separation.  If people choose to cling to their bad ways then they will be separated from God with them.

Isa 55:12  For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Isa 55:13  Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

This is God’s design.  The Word of God abides forever.  People can line up and oppose it all they want and they will not defeat it.  As long as we stand with the Word and are the church, the gates of hell will not prevail against us.  Isn’t that a consolation?

I love the portion of Revelation where the saints are fighting against the eighth beast.  He that rides on the white horse and they that are with Him are going to overcome.  That is us.

Will we be in the number?  Will we be enjoying the good things of Zion or in controversy with her?  You say, “I will never be in controversy with Zion, I have been saved however many years.”  People that I thought would never go have gone and some of them are opposers of us.

We never want to be in a wrong place with God and on the wrong side of the controversy.

Isa 33:14  The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
Isa 33:15  He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
Isa 33:16  He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

The devouring fire here is much different than the burning pitch of Zion.  The burning in Babylon is strictly punitive and final, not a refining fire.  God sits as a refining fire among the sons of Levi, those that are saved.
Any that are unsaved need to get with the sons of Levi.

God’s Word and judgments are meant to be dwelt with.  The Rock, Christ Jesus, on which everything else is built is a sure foundation.  As long as you keep your hand in His, then it is secure.  If you choose you can take your hand out and are a fool to do so.

Mine eye shall see the King in His beauty.  There is no confusion there.  No stones of stumbling there.  They shall behold the Lamb.  It is not that far from anyone of us that is saved.  Isaiah was looking forward to the Gospel Day.  It is close to us.  We are enjoying heavenly places right here and now.  God is ministering heavenly things to us now.

The Word of God is meant to be hopeful, not the burnings of false religion.

Isa 33:17  Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
Isa 33:18  Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?
Isa 33:19  Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.
Isa 33:20  Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
Isa 33:21  But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

There will not be any controversy or fighting within.  The controversy is those that are without saying, “We are Zion too, we just don’t see it the way you do.”  The slam is not to us but to almighty God that clearly spoke His Word.

No warlike or predatory person is within Jerusalem.  Sometimes they are around for a while, hypocrites, but not forever.

Rev 21:1  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

God’s people are as a bride adorned for her husband.  Produce for me one bride that will tolerate one spot on her wedding dress.  Accidents happen but you know my thought.  Even an earthly bride will be careful that she is without spot.

The bride wants to be spotless for the groom.  How much more the eternal bride of Christ!  We want to be all we can possibly be.  It is by His grace.  We by choice make ourselves beneficiaries of His grace.  He will not, by choice, pick apart His own work at the Judgment Day.

We don’t boast in ourselves anything that we have.  It is by His grace we are what we are.  We can be the spotless bride of Christ through His grace.

Rev 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

True and faithful just like the one that spoke them.  We can trust our souls in the sure word of God and build upon it.

Isa 57:10  Thou art wearied in the greatness of thy way; yet saidst thou not, There is no hope: thou hast found the life of thine hand; therefore thou wast not grieved.

This is a condition of people in false religion.  They suffer the sting of sin.  Don’t think that they don’t.  Wife swapping has happened in false religion.  There are bad things that weary people.  They are religious to the hilt but wearied by sin.  Yet not to the point that they say, “There is no hope in my way.”

These things can creep right into the church of God.  People say, “I’m going to reserve this spiritual play ground for myself.  I’ll mix serving God with this little thing.  It cannot be really bad if I do that.”

I have seen people like that consistently have trouble in their life and cause trouble in other lives.  They get weary and cause others to be weary.

Rather than give up hope in their own way, they will fight for it.  Though it wearies them they say, “I cannot let go of this.  The preacher has his ideas and I have mine.”  There is a way that seems right to man…”  God help those to get right with Him.

Zion is not a sinking ship.  Get in her and stay.  Give up hope in your own way.  Give up your own bark that will sink.  It is amazing that people will have sorrow upon sorrow but you cannot get them to relinquish what is causing that.

When they finally sober up and wake up then they say again, “I’ll do it again.”  It is so with all sin.  If they don’t finally come to the conclusion, “This is killing me, I’m going to give up hope in getting satisfaction in any of this.”

We want to be where God dwells.  If we are not then we will find ourselves in controversy with Zion and on the wrong side of God.  We cannot afford to be there.

Isa 57:13  When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
Isa 57:14  And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.

The Word of God is such that it takes stumbling blocks out of our lives.  It makes us aware that we have some, makes us be willing to relinquish them, and helps others get stumbling blocks out of their way.  I was able to impart what I have learned in gathering out stones to someone else and doing so helped them to avoid a stumbling block in their life.

Cast up a mount: in attacking a city they would mound up dirt and rocks so that they could see over the wall of a city or cast things over the wall.

Use the stones in your life to be as fill to the way.  The people that will not take the stones out of their life say, “There are faults in my life that I will live with.”

If you take those things out of your life and walk over the top of them, it will exalt you.  Every time you remove something from your life it makes your walk higher and is an encouragement to others.  “Proving what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Exalt and increase as time goes on.

Psa 16:4  Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

So are they that are in so-called ‘Christian’ religion.  The majority of them hasten after other gods, the god of self, serving self in the flesh.

Psa 16:5  The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
Psa 16:6  The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
Psa 16:7  I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
Psa 16:8  I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Psa 16:9  Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Psa 16:10  For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Psa 16:11  Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

That is the heritage of those that would serve God.  Without controversy, it is the best way.

Why do people make a controversy where no controversy is?  Without controversy God is a holy God, His people are a holy people, and God dwells among them.
