Brother Gyme Kelly Sunday Evening 1/6/13
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and
the earth.
Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and
darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there
was light.
Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the
darkness.
Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the
darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
God is a God of order and He doesn’t do anything out of
order. As long as time tarries, we know
that the sun will come up in the morning because that is how God set it up to
be. We don’t have to guess. It is the same with the Word of God. What He has set in order stays in order. He doesn’t change it.
Gen 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the
midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Gen 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the
waters which were under the firmament
from the waters which were above the
firmament: and it was so.
Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the
evening and the morning were the second day.
Gen 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven
be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Gen 1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the
waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was
good.
Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth
grass, the herb yielding seed, and the
fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Gen 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the
tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in
itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was
good.
Gen 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the
third day.
Gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the
firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for
signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Gen 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament
of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
Gen 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater
light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
Many of you have seen the movie, “The Star of
Bethlehem.” From creation God set things
in order for that star to appear at the right time. Just as He did the star, God can put us in
the exact right place at the exact right time.
I am more convinced today that there is nothing that happens by just
chance.
It is in order if we are in order. We must be in order with God. He set the star in motion however many years
before and the star was in the right place at the right time. God has a way of putting us in the right
place at the right time.
Gen 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the
heaven to give light upon the earth,
Gen 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night,
and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the
fourth day.
Gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth
abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open
firmament of heaven.
Gen 1:21 And God created great whales, and every
living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after
their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful,
and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the
earth.
Gen 1:23 And the evening and the morning were the
fifth day.
Gen 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the
living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the
earth after his kind: and it was so.
Gen 1:25 And God made the beast of the earth after his
kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth
after his kind: and God saw that it was
good.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image,
after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and
over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over
every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him;
male and female created he them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them,
Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion
over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living
thing that moveth upon the earth.
Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every
herb bearing seed, which is upon the
face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is
the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Gen 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every
fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have
given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made,
and, behold, it was very good. And the
evening and the morning were the sixth day.
“It was very good.”
This reading always increases my faith.
When unbelief is working I can go to Genesis and read. It always blesses me to know that God is a God
of order and has set everything in place.
The laws of planetary motion are so consistent that we know where the
planets will be 500 years from now.
I like structure. I
like to know what will happen next. I
don’t like going to a new job. It is not
an adventure to me. I almost hate them,
because I don’t know what will happen.
But with God and His word we know what is. He set it in order and it is the same today.
God always does things in the correct time and in the
correct way. There is nothing haphazard
which means lacking in organization. God
does things in an orderly way. He knows
just how things will be.
Job 38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the
whirlwind, and said,
Job 38:2 Who is
this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
Job 38:3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will
demand of thee, and answer thou me.
Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations
of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Job 38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou
knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Job 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof
fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
God doesn’t always give us His whole plan. Sometimes we get it just a piece at a
time. When God shines light on our
pathway, if we obey it then He shines the next piece. We don’t want to let anyone give us counsel
that is not of light. We want to be
careful to get our counsel from God. We
don’t want to take someone’s opinion as from God. We can get out of order very fast that
way.
God has a perfect plan for you, but I don’t know what that
plan is. You have to find it out for
yourself. If you obey the first step
then he will show you the next. He knows
how to make it perfectly unfold the exact way that He placed the star over
Bethlehem at the just right time.
Oh the depth of the riches of the wisdom:
Rom 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom
and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are
his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Rom 11:34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or
who hath been his counsellor?
Rom 11:35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall
be recompensed unto him again?
Rom 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
We want to get our wisdom and knowledge from God; He is the
counselor.
Deu 29:29 The secret things
belong unto the LORD our God: but those things
which are revealed belong
unto us and to our children for ever, that we
may do all the words of this law.
There are some things that God has given to us that we do
know. It is from the word of God. There are some things that we know are the
will of God on. We know that it is His
will that we be saved. There are some things
that we are not going to know. We need
to stay in our place.
Don’t exercise yourself in things too high:
Psa 131:1 A Song of degrees of David. LORD, my
heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in
great matters, or in things too high for me.
Psa 131:2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as
a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is
even as a weaned child.
Psa 131:3 Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth
and for ever.
I have lots of opinions and thoughts, some are good and some
are not so good. It Is important to know
that God’s ways are always best.
Everything that we need to know to be successful and in His
perfect will He will reveal to us.
When God shows us something it is always right and it is
always in order. This is the test to see
if something is from God: Is it right, does it line up with the word of God,
and is it in order, does it line up with the order of God.
There are some things that we know are wrong because we can
look in the Word of God. We don’t have
to wait for God to slap our hand.
Anything that doesn’t line up with the word of God is out of
order. If I stay firm on the boundaries
with my children then they are comfortable, if I get soft with the boundaries
then they get uncomfortable. It is the same
with us. God is always a God of order.
Joseph was sold into Egypt.
We can question whether it was God’s plan for his brothers to do that to
him. But Joseph ended up in the right
place at the right time.
Gen 45:4 And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near
to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
Gen 45:5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with
yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve
life.
Gen 45:6 For these two years hath the famine been
in the land: and yet there are five
years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.
Gen 45:7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a
posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
At the time, if we think about ourselves in Joseph’s place,
we would think, “How could this be from the Lord? Why am I in this situation? I haven’t done anything wrong, I am sold into
Egypt, I’m a slave, unjustly accused, and thrown into prison.” It would be easy for us to question, “Why am
I here?”
Gen 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
Gen 50:21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish
you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
God used the situation the way that He wanted it.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for
good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Bad things can happen to good people and good things can
happen to bad people. We know that the
difference is when good things happen to bad people, if they are in sin, it
will destroy them. Yet if you are saved
and love God, all things (even if someone means something for evil to you) will
work for your good.
God knows how to set things in order how to put your life
back together, how to heal your broken heart, how to bring us to an expected
end, and how to work good out of a bad situation.
Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If
God be for us, who can be against us?
Rom 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered
him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
If God be for us who can be against us.
