Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 5/22/13
We live in perilous times and we have a great responsibility
to carry the torch in our hand and to prepare others to carry the torch.
Isa 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also
the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the
temple.
Isaiah saw the Lord on His throne high and lifted up. In our everyday practical living we must keep
God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit in His rightful place and
then we will be in our rightful place.
Isa 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold
of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only
let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
This has been true in every age of time. Individuals, as Cain, have wanted to do it
their own way.
Isa 4:2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be
beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall
be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
This is the Gospel Age.
The Gospel is designed to make our lives beautiful with the grace and
truths of God. If all you can think
about is how hard you have it because you can’t do this or that or go here or
there… then, yes, you have it hard.
The other attitude that we can have is that it is my
privilege to bear all the fruits of the Spirit that I can. God has made all things beautiful in His
time. God ordained that His church be
beautiful and have the glory of God.
Isa 4:3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called
holy, even every one that is written among
the living in Jerusalem:
Isa 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the
filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem
from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
Isa 4:5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling
place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the
shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.
The Cloud led the Children of Israel all day long and then
was a protection to them at night. It
went between them and their enemies. God
has a wonderful way of leading us all day long.
If you have problems being led by God then get Him in His
rightful place: high and lifted up, and you get in your rightful place: saved,
sanctified, measured, loving, and doing the Word of God.
Jude was written around 30 to 35 years after the church was
established. Already things had begun to
deteriorate. I have seen all I can
handle and all I need to see to know that, “God, help me to have and keep a
vision with Him in His rightful place and me clothed with humility.”
What is more beautiful than a person clothed with humility
and bearing all the fruits of the Spirit?
What a beautiful garden!
‘Holy’ means that which is clean. The angels described God in Isaiah’s vision, “Holy,
Holy, Holy...”
It means clean, pure, undefiled. No one can get to God and defile Him. He loves, He cares, and He has an attitude of
supplying the very best for us.
How can we be worthy of His best? Be in your rightful place and have Him high
and lifted up.
The word ‘Holy’ means sanctified. God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are totally
set apart. He is not political. He is not affected by others. He is God.
We deal with a God that is undefiled. You may relive the past, your failures and
bad things that have been said. STOP. If you have done this for very long then you
need to repent. Why? Because we need to be thrilled and thankful
for what God has done for us and for what He has for us.
‘Holy’ means honest. He
is honest with us. All we need to do is
get Him and get ourselves in our rightful places. He is true and lovely.
There is a price to pay.
We need to have the attitude: I have measured, and I have my measuring
shoes on. When He draws a line then I
will walk right up to it.
God wants to make the very best of every one of our
lives. He had a cloud and a pillar of
fire to lead and to protect the Children of Israel. God has a way of leading and protecting.
How can we have a vision?
Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall
he make to understand doctrine? them that are
weaned from the milk, and drawn from the
breasts.
Isa 28:10 For precept must
be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon
line; here a little, and there a little:
Isa 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue
will he speak to this people.
It boils down to this: “Grow up.” Precept must be upon precept.
Have the attitude: “God you can use the best preacher or
that one with a stammer to teach me. I’m
not telling you who to send a message to me.
I’m in my position and I am lifting you way up. I want to be humble and grow up and put away
childish things.”
God has a way of making our life so that it can
produce. He can make us a vessel of
honor meet for the master’s use.
