Brother Gary Sunday Evening 11/8/15

Brother Gary Sunday Evening 11/8/15
Psa 45:1  To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil, A Song of loves. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

David was worshipping God.  His heart was inditing a good matter.  His soul was bubbling.  This world wants to take the geyser, the bubble out of our soul.  The world wants to take your song and leave you heavy burdened.

There are 500 geysers in Yellowstone.  God doesn’t want them only there.  He wants the thrill of God coming up in our soul.

David said, “My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.”  Whatever talent that God has given you, use it for God’s glory and His honor.  The highlight of our life is using what God has given us for His honor, for His glory, and for the building of His kingdom.

Speaking of Christ he prophesied and said, “Thou art fairer than the children of men.”

Psa 45:2  Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

Jesus will outshine them all: grace is poured into thy lips.  (The law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.)  Thou art blessed forever.

It is wonderful that God ordained that Christ would be blessed forever.  There are those that believe the day of miracles was only when Jesus was here on earth, but we are glad that not only is Jesus the fairest of the children, but grace is poured in his lips.

God ordained Christ as the trustee of grace forever.  I don’t know much about trustees, but there are those that have had great wealth and used it to help others.  George Worm left his estate to be used as a scholarship for some that were worthy in the Plains High School.

Today Jesus is the trustee of grace.  He wants you and I to have all the grace that we need.  Whenever you feel yourself lacking in graciousness, all we have to do is humble ourselves and plead.  When we feel the necessity of divine influence upon our soul… there are times when we feel the desperate need.

I think of Brother and Sister Peters…  When we write Sister Darla, when we pray for the requests, we need the divine influence of God upon our soul.

We need to always feel our need of the divine influence upon our heart and its reflection out into our life.  However scholarly you feel, as kindly as I know how to tell you, you need a good dose of humility.  We need God desperately.

The desire to be acceptable to God.  It is so real to me.  For God to be pleased with me, for him to be pleased with us as a congregation, for how we are using these talents as a congregation that He has entrusted us with.

Brother Rick can take an old tree and in the process of time can make a musical instrument that is worth 5 or 10 thousand.  But as valuable as that is, his testimony is worth far more.

It takes the grace of God to be acceptable.  I have been convicted on greeting the saints of God.  Our greetings need to be acceptable.  They are to be of reverence and respect: the very way that we tell someone that we love them and appreciate them.

I want the saints to know that I love them.  One complement has warmed my soul many times: after Kandace died I told Ed Sr. “I hope Kandace knew that we loved her.”  He said, “She did.”

We are so blessed to have God.  Without grace we will put ourselves and everyone else in a ceiled house and in a mold.  It is a terrible thing to be in a ceiled house and in a mold.  Some don’t trust any and think that others are out to get them because they have been trespassed and hurt.

Jesus helped us to know what to do when we are trespassed: Forgive.

The pleasure, I thought of fall and another winter coming on with the dark dreary days.  I thought to myself, “I am going to have a wonderful winter.”  There will be highlights in my winter, not because of me, but because my heart is inditing a good matter.

God has blessed me forever.  The benefits of grace reach to all generations and to all people.  The grace of God is the teacher of the highest education.  I appreciate every teacher in the high school and grade school.  You represent us very well.  We appreciate you.

Tit 2:11  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Tit 2:12  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

No one is left out.  The grace of God teaches all men.  They may say many false things, but the grace of God teaches them.  If you have bible salvation, He rides the skies to bring us victory.

Denying ungodliness:  “I am not going to do that.”  The grace of God is a wonderful teacher.

There is no exception: anyone that follows worldly lusts ends up with a life of regret and unless they repent an eternity of regret.

It teaches us to live soberly and godly in this present world.  What a wonderful teacher!

Tit 2:13  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Tit 2:14  Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Tit 2:15  These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
