Brother Jack Klemstein Sunday Night 10/5/14

Brother Jack Klemstein Sunday Night 10/5/14
God is love.  If you are going to serve God appropriately it will be because of love.  Any other motivation is not appropriate.  Other motivations will phase out and run out and burn out.

Thank God for the love that He gives us for the people and the Word.  God truly according to His Word will restore His church to its pristine glory before He comes back to receive it.  Anything less than that would be a ludicrous thought.

He will come right on time.  He will come back for a bride that he is immensely proud of.  I don’t think that we can be proud of a lot of things that happened in this nation in the last 40 hears.  We don’t have to continue down that path.

We don’t have to carry any bitterness or anything that would offend.  God wants to purge that out.  Each one of us must be the person that He designed for us to be.  If we will do this then we will be the city set upon a hill.

Satan cannot duplicate it.  How many denominations are there in this world?  How many have worked?  Anyone with good sense knows that the Roman Catholic church is corrupt to the core and does not have love.

We need all that God can give us to be successful as a saint of God.  We cannot get by on anything less than what God can give us as an individual.  We cannot draw lines, “We can only go so far.”  We must go as far as God would lead us.

Heb 12:1  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Rev 5:10  And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Rev 5:11  And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

That is a lot.  This is talking about the population of heaven.  The word innumerable is used in the Word of God.  The church of God is not the smallest church, it is the largest.  It is the only church.

We look at the congregations and feel that we are so few but look at reality.  All the saints of God are in the church of God.  No one that is a child of God is left out of God’s church, His economy, and His people.  We are all God’s church and His people.

We deal with many imposters and we don’t decide who is in or who is out.  We don’t have to bother our heads about issues and problems that we have had in the past by going beyond what the Word of God teaches about fellowship and unity.  We can simplify it all by just leaving it up to God.

We have bothered our heads and have taught some things that are not biblical.  People say, “The church of God has always taught that.”  I guess you haven’t been around long at all.  The only thing that matters is “Thus sayeth the Lord.”

The only thing that matters to you is “Thus saith the Lord to you.”  We are all individuals having an individual experience and relationship with Jesus Christ yet we are all together and we are all one.  Jesus Christ knows those that are His.  He knows who has been born again.

We ought to be just shouting happy that we are His.  The disciples were saying, “Wow, all the devils have been cast out and people healed.”  Jesus said there is no glory in that.  Rather rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs Book of Life.

Rather than getting carried away with the destructive work that has worked among us, let us rather be happy that our name is written in the Lambs Book of Life.  I believe God would appreciate it if we stayed out of each other’s life.  Who cares what kind of refrigerator you buy?

It is better that we leave a lot of issues alone.  Does God know how to build his church?  Yes He does.  Our job is to give Him good material.  Make sure ‘this guy’ is in line.

We have been talking about the good saints of God.  We will not be separated for long.  This life is but a vapor.  How long is that?  Our lives are like the grass that soon withers away.  How long is that?

We want to make sure we are a part of that number that no man can number.  He wasn’t too specific.  There are just thousands of thousands.

One theme in the Word of God is ‘waiting on God’ and the other theme would be ‘bringing again Zion.’  It is very important that we don’t jeopardize all we have done to this point by being impatient.  Many folks have self destructed just before great things were accomplished.

Think of poor Judas.  He had a part in that ministry.  “Judas by transgression fell.”  He didn’t hold out.  He allowed things to enter in.  He had a lot of criticism for the woman that poured out the alabaster ointment.  He thought, “This is terrible, she should have sold it.  I hold the bag.”

People want power; don’t try to infringe on the power of God or what is rightly someone else’s authority or power.  We want to be satisfied with whatever God gives us.  It is all we honestly get and it is plenty.  Let’s not be greedy for power.

We have seen as a pastor, people do well for five years, ten years, fifteen years and then cablooey.  More often than not the thing that destroyed them is something that the Word of God warns us against and that is pride.

When we want the recognition for something that God has given us, when we want the glory that is due the Lord, when we begin to get greedy, and get in a position that is not fitting for us to be in, we are setting ourselves up for failure.

There were those that when we could see pride begin to enter in we tried to warn them.  Once the devil begins to inoculate someone with a little bit of pride they begin to put up defenses.  When we get so we are defending our pride we think, “If you tell me that then you don’t respect me.  I’m way up here and you are telling me that I am down here.”

We try our best to preserve souls but ultimately the decision is theirs.  We have lost many to that one thing, pride.  Let’s not be dupes for the devil.  If we spend our time being humble saints of God then we will spend our time well.

Psa 27:14  Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

This is something that God has gotten across to me.  I don’t say it was easy for Him to get it across to me.  Over time and seeing this message over and over again in the Word of God it has gotten it across to me that it is very important to not quit.

Sometimes as a pastor, when you have seen that every time you get up to a certain level of numbers in a congregation, a destructive work comes in and you lose half of your congregation.  It is very easy to fall prey to suggesting that maybe pastoring is not what you are cut out for.

About the third time you say, “Are you getting this right Lord?  We are not getting anywhere.”  God says, “Son you just obey me.  I am not particularly concerned with how things look or how you feel.  I only concerned about if you obey me.”

God brought us through some tremendous times.  We spent some late evenings.  I was up long after the family and that is not like me.  I am a morning person.  I was up until after 12.  I was looking in a song book and there was a scripture at the top.

1Jn 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Many people could draw conclusions about this scripture and me, but this was God speaking to my heart.   When God speaks we know it.  When God settles it then it is settled.  If we will not back off of the point that He shows us then we have the victory.

He gives us strength to go on.  Elijah went on for quite a while on the heavenly meal that God gave him.  But he didn’t go on forever.  He needed more.  We are going to need more.  We will have more battles but God has grace for those battles as well.

God says to wait on the Lord.  One problem we have as individuals is time.  Time is important to us but it is not important to God.  One day is as a thousand years.

God says, “What does it matter when it happens?  I know it will happen.  Good things will happen if you stick with me. So what does it matter when it happens?”

God must do a lot of work on souls.  Hearts must be prepared and tears must be shed, consecrations must be made.  Revival cannot come without prayer warriors.  People that have the victory have prayer lives.  That may be something that we are letting slip.

We need to do what the saints have always done to get the victory, and prayer has done a big part.  Why don’t we pray now?  “I prayed and nothing happened so I went on and took care of it.”  How will we make progress that way?

If we pray for God’s will to be done then why not pray that it be done and stay out of the way until it happens.  Revival is the right thing to do, our job is to pray and believe until revival breaks out.

God wants to save any that He can.  He enjoys revival.  There are a lot of things that I want to do but no one has asked me yet.

He says, “They haven’t asked me for this yet.”

Psa 37:34  Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Who is God going to reward?  The righteous or the wicked?  How many of the saints in the Word of God ever looked upon the wicked and felt their feet slipping?  They went to the sanctuary to pull out of it.  They got a godly perspective.

The wicked are spreading out their branches like a green tree.  We look on that and think, “It’s over we have lost.”  No it is not lost.  God will never reward the wicked with anything other than destruction if they don’t turn to God.

God will exalt his people.  If you don’t stay tapped into the vine then you will never experience what God has for His people.  We are living in the last time.

As the days in Noah so shall:

Mat 24:37  But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39  And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

We are at the tail end of things.  Things could go on for decades; we don’t know.  We can tell by the way of the wickedness in the world today that God’s cup of wrath is getting full.  When it is full it will run over.  The righteous will always be the beneficiary of what God does and the wicked will not.

We need to want on God and trust in God and make sure we are all together righteous, altogether holy, and make sure that we are the recipients.

Many are taught that if we can just get together then there will be unity.  There were too much of the sayings of men in ‘ministers meetings’ and not enough focus on God.  Everyone has the answer.  I have been a part of the mistakes; I want to be a part of the cures.

When God’s will is done, you will be the beneficiary, I will be the beneficiary; good things have always happened for the people of God.

Pro 20:22  Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

People thinking carnally would possibly conclude that God overreacted.  “That was a little over the top.”   God never has overreacted, never has been over the top, He always has been right on time with the right message, the right move, the right inspiration, the right word.

I don’t care what our name is, when we set our hand to something that is none of our business God is not pleased.  Uzzah reached forth his hand to steady the ark and God was not pleased.

So let’s not get out of order.  We have the examples in the Word of God: those that meant well.  God didn’t bless those that meant well.  He blessed those that obeyed the Word of God.

The scripture is full of promises of, “If you obey God you will be blessed, if you disobey God then you will be cursed.”

I don’t care what colleges you have been to or how long you have been in the congregation, you don’t have the answer.  Many have risen up and believed that they had the answer for the situation and the problem but sadly they did not.

If it does damage to the congregation, then you are wrong.  “We were doing what we thought was right.”  The Word says that there would be people that would kill and believe that they were doing the right thing.

Lots of people have fallen in that same snare by thinking that they were doing the work of God by purging the church but they were not purging the church at all but were doing damage to eternity bound souls.

Jas 1:2  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Jas 1:3  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Jas 1:4  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Do you desire to be perfect and entire wanting nothing?  That is a good place to start.  In other words you are satisfied with what you have, what God gives you, with your place in the kingdom of God, and there is nothing that you want but what God has for you.

That is an experience that every one of us can have.  First of all we must desire to be perfect, entire and wanting nothing.  It doesn’t mean that you are better than someone else.  You recognize that God is your full sustenance and you are satisfied with what God has given you.

Everything that is not perfect or causes want has to be rejected.  If you want to be perfect and wanting nothing then you must reject anything that doesn’t meet that.  If God says, “You really don’t need that.  It is a hindrance.”  It could be a two acre yard.  “You really don’t need that.  You can get by with a quarter.

When we give up something for Him we are giving up something of lesser value for something of greater value: what He has for us.

We are not desiring anything that God doesn’t think is appropriate for you.  We are not in some type of competition.  I have been in situations where I felt that there was a competitive spirit.  That is not your desire and it is not what is driving you but someone in is trying to match your moves.  I didn’t like it.

Let’s all get on the same page and desire what God has given you.

“I want patience but I’m afraid to pray for it.”  Man up and pray that way.  Go for the good.  God says that we need it; go for it.  Ask God for it and believe God for it, and whatever battles that you have to fight then count it all joy.

God has sent this; He is making me a king and a priest.  He has all good things for me.  He has said, “All things are yours.”  If you own it all, what do you want?  As a child of God and a joint heir with Jesus Christ, what doesn’t belong to me?

All things are yours.  The trial is coming up does God dump all the responsibilities on that one heir?  God works in such a way that we are strengthened, our lives are enhanced so that we have everything that we need.  He promised to supply all our needs; He promised to give us precious gifts.

“I want more, more of God.”  You can have that.

But when we want more stuff, what might stuff be?  The Word of God says, “Free yourselves from idols.”  Stuff becomes idols.  People that want stuff more than God are idol worshippers.  People that want a ranch, a wife, a car, a million dollars, or a reputation more than God are idol worshippers.

Zep 3:17  The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
Zep 3:18  I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.
Zep 3:19  Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.

There are a lot of parallels in the book of Zephaniah with what the Revelations say about the seventh seal.   He says that he will restore a pure language.  If we are fed 100% truth without any error or distractions then we will pull ourselves out of whatever hole we have gotten ourselves into.

I don’t care what kind of mess the human race or the church has gotten themselves into, the thing that is important to you and me is that we want the cure, are teachable, and are able to admit that we are wrong when we are wrong.

We stand on the Word of God and say, you are not budging me.  I must stand here.  I am standing on the Word of God.

I have found in life that not everyone likes me.  The thing that I must know is that God is pleased with me.

The Word of God teaches us to try the spirits.  How are we going to try the spirits if we don’t know the Spirit?  If you know you have the Spirit of God and someone doesn’t like you then it is their problem and not your problem.  Don’t make it your problem.

If you are standing on the Word of God and know that you are standing there then don’t budge.  The saints of God in this day and time need to stand their ground and quit being shifted this way and that because someone says, “You haven’t got it.”

“I’ve been under the spout where the glory comes out and you aren’t taking it.”  You don’t have to be arrogant or proud but you can be the child of God that He has made you to be.

It is very important to understand the times, understand what Israel is to do.  If we take our responsibility then God will work to make things right.

God will make up the hedge and He wants someone to stand in the gap.  If we stand there then the issues will be resolved.  Our young people have been held back way too much.  In the sixth seal of time revival would come and young people would get saved and pretty soon they were preachers.

They would share the Word with others and people would get saved, and others would say, “You must be a preacher.”  If someone is in God’s design-order then there is nothing wrong with that.

Too many preachers say, “You haven’t been saved long enough.”  How long is long enough?  Ten years go by and fifteen, and soon the burden is gone.

My mom gave people liberty.  Some got lifted up in pride and self destructed, but her burden was right.  Giving the Holy Spirit free course is always right for the church.

If the Holy Spirit calls someone to the work of God and they have manifested a right spirit then let them go to work.

The church of God has never failed human kind but much of what has been called the church of God has failed human kind.

God wants the church restored.  Jesus Christ gave His blood for the church of God, His bride.  You pay a price like that you have demonstrated that that bride means something to you.  We should never doubt the Love of God.

God wants to restore us and wants people to see what kind of God that He is and what kind of people He has.

In the country of Wales, 1902, God began to deal with a young man’s heart.  He was around 16 years of age and he prayed seven years.  He was in his early twenties when God began to answer his prayer for revival.

He was in a meeting and a sixteen year old girl stood up and said, “I love the Lord with all my heart.”  A revival came and thousands got saved and it changed that whole country.

People began to go out as missionaries.  Young people went to Africa and India and did a tremendous work.  These are all records of what God will do if someone gets a burden and prays that the kingdom of God would be advanced.

He is looking for people that care about the church, and whatever He wants to do, we are willing for God to do it.

Do you ever feel that you are the target?  “I will give them praise in every land where they have been put to shame.”

Zep 3:20  At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.

We have many references in the Word of God about God bringing again Zion.  He had to bring it again because apostasy had set in.  It has happened over and over again.  In the garden, Adam and Eve went into apostasy.

Human beings have a record of losing what God has given us.  He says, “I’d like to give it back but do you want it?”  How do we show that we want it?  We ask for it.

Huge crowds would come and this young man in Wales would many times just weep.  Many times would just pray.  Would not preach, yet hearts were melted.  Many souls were saved.

God is looking for people just like him.
