Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 3/19/14
Rev 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia:
Grace be unto you, and peace, from him
which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which
are before his throne;
Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the
prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from
our sins in his own blood,
It is wonderful that God and Jesus have grace for us not
only on a daily basis but on an hourly basis.
We are very blessed to have the revelation of Jesus Christ
that was given to John on the Isle of Patmos.
Jesus Christ is the God ordained Prince of the kings of the earth. He is the ruler of the people. He is the choice, first rank ruler.
There are a lot of people that have rebellious spirits and
are emphatic that they are not going to let God or some preacher rule over
them. They are their own man or
woman. We either choose Jesus Christ as
the ruler designated by God Himself or we open the door to be ruled by a
tyrant, whether our self or some other spirit.
He is the prince; the ruler over evil spirits. We live in a world today that is full of evil
spirits. Men and women are full of
whatever they have yielded themselves to.
Mar 5:1 And they came over unto the other side of the
sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
Mar 5:2 And when he was come out of the ship,
immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Mar 5:3 Who had his
dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
Mar 5:4 Because that he had been often bound with
fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the
fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man
tame him.
Mar 5:5 And always, night and day, he was in the
mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
Mar 5:6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and
worshipped him,
Mar 5:7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What
have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son
of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
Mar 5:8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
Mar 5:9 And he asked him, What
is thy name?
And he answered, saying, My name is
Legion: for we are many.
Mar 5:10 And he besought him much that he would not
send them away out of the country.
Mar 5:11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a
great herd of swine feeding.
Mar 5:12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send
us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
Mar 5:13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the
unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran
violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and
were choked in the sea.
Mar 5:14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went
out to see what it was that was done.
Mar 5:15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was
possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his
right mind: and they were afraid.
Mar 5:16 And they that saw it
told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
Mar 5:17 And they began to pray him to depart out of
their coasts.
Mar 5:18 And when he was come into the ship, he that
had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
Mar 5:19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith
unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how
great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
Mar 5:20 And he departed, and began to publish in
Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
This is that ruler that commanded the evil spirits to come
out of Legion. You need to have enough
God that the bad spirits shake and tremble when you show up. Not everyone is nice out there. When people reject God or have known God and
refuse to go on and get sanctified or filled with the Holy Spirit and then
backslide, they then become in bondage to spirits.
Jesus Christ is the prince, the ruler of evil spirits and
not just evil spirits. This same Jesus
is the Christ that calmed the literal storm of the sea. He is a powerful Christ. He has all power in this thought. Where He chooses to show His power, there is
a dominion set up that Christ is all power.
There was a missionary in a perilous situation and in the situation;
someone began to seek after God. The robbers
came to steal and maybe to kill him and God delivered him.
He knew the date and the time. When he came back home he gave his testimony
and someone asked if he remembered the date.
He said, “Yes, it was this day.” The
man said, “We were in prayer meeting that night and there was a very heavy
burden and we travailed in prayer for you.”
The robber had come back and said, “We were going to rob you
but there were 26 guards.” The man asked
how many of them were there praying that night and there were 26.
God is a God that has thousands of thousands of angels. If they need to be seen as healers they are
healers. If they need to appear as
guards then they are guards.
Lazarus was dead for days.
Jesus is the prince of life.
Lazarus was restored. People thought
Jesus was late getting there but He was not late. Jesus knew what He was doing.
Jesus fed 5000 men with a lad’s lunch. They picked up 12 baskets afterwards.
He is a Prince, let Him have control of everything. He has a heart of a shepherd, a father, a
burden bearer.
I thought of the lady that was brought to Jesus caught in
the very act of adultery. The Prince
said, “Go and sin no more.” Isn’t that
beautiful?
The Prince of peace is titled also as wonderful, counselor;
the thought of wonderful is that this Prince is the miracle working God. He is the counselor. Aren’t you glad that you don’t know everything? I’m thrilled tonight that we can pillow our
head and say, “God, I am depending on you for direction. Help us to be where you want us to be tomorrow
and to know what phone calls to make. Set
the very stage where we are. Give us
direction.”
Oh to have His counsel!
We are so blessed to know of this Prince, the mighty God, the
everlasting Father.
Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the
prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from
our sins in his own blood,
Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God
and his Father; to him be glory and
dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
To think of being loved by the Prince designated of God. He loved us so much that He washed us from
our sin in His own blood.
He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. There was that occasion where, all alone, he
paid with His precious blood for all of my sin.
The father looked away but Jesus went through. I want Him as my Prince. The ruler of my life, all the days that I
have left.
The prince made us a king reigning over sin. It is a big thing when you reach my age to
reign over the flesh. I get so tired and
weary. No one wants someone around that
is tired and weary. We must overcome our
flesh.
We have to reign over the flesh; not just when I’m
tired. My mind can wake up going miles
an hour at 12:30 at night. Reign over
the flesh.
He washed us in His own blood and He changed us. He changed us. There is a God that changes us. You may wake up tomorrow morning and your flesh
wants to go one direction and God says, “Son or daughter, I want to make a
change.” We say, “God, you are the Prince. I had my ideas, but you are the Prince.”
We are able to be a priest and offer up spiritual sacrifices
of praise. We are able to make divine
worship, go to the brazen altar and worship thanking God that the sacrifice has
been made.
We are able to go to the laver and as a priest wash and get
things taken care of. “God I want to be
washed of that attitude and of that thought pattern.”
We can get through the door.
Thank God, no one puts us in or takes us out. We can go to that candlestick and have the bread
of God be the bread of life and the candle stick shine light on our life and into
our mind and shine light and light …
It is wonderful that we can go to the golden alter and
present the sacrifice, “God I am all yours.
I want to get into that Holiest of Holies and commune with you. God, I want to be everything that you want me
to be. I am prepared to come in and
while the Word of God is preached and taught, be communing with God and praying
and trusting God for the salvation of souls.”
We want the realness of God in our life. We have a Prince. We give this Prince all of the glory. We are not trying to build a kingdom of our
self. We want God to have dominion
wherever we are.
I don’t plan on being anywhere where God cannot have
dominion. I am not partaking of anything
that is foul or dirty.
When God has dominion and you feel the Holy Spirit of God
saying, “Now is the time.” Then you don’t
have to be afraid to speak out.
