Brother Gary Sunday Night 11/3/13

Brother Gary Sunday Night 11/3/13
Eph 3:14  For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Eph 3:15  Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Eph 3:16  That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Eph 3:17  That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 3:18  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Eph 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Eph 3:21  Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith that ye being rooted: as a tree getting your roots down.  Grounded:  it is the thought of an architect building a building and getting the foundation right.

As we were taking prayer requests and praying, sometimes we feel the limitedness of ourselves. We are here and first we want to have a burden for our local area and region and those that we are working with.  About everyone would have the ability to contact the family of those that have died recently.  You can take food, make a house call, ask them for lunch, and so on.

Yet there are those that we cannot reach to.  I knocked on the Goetcher door recently asking if the boy, Jared could come to vacation bible school, she said, “He has a car he can come if he wants to.”  That was the end, but not the end of the burden.

I thought of how far the love of God will reach.  Sometimes we have burdens from just knowing the circumstances; there is nothing wrong with that.  When that burden is mixed with the love of God for that soul, you may not be able to go there in person but you can pray and God’s love goes clear around the whole world.

We are limited but God’s love is not limited.  His love can go there and He can work with souls that you are burdened for.

Sis Dorothy – the part that sticks out to me is that He would grant you according to His riches in glory. It says the same thing in Philippians: my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.  I have stood on this promise for forty years.
He has everything that we need to make it through.  He has riches of grace and of fellowship.  All the glory entails not just being saved, we have heavenly places, and we have peace.  All these riches are according to His riches in Christ Jesus.  His word is powerful and rich.  There are nuggets there that we will always be able to dig out.

Sister Annette - The definition of glory in this scripture New Testament denoting praise honor glory, splendor, excellence, majesty.

Isa 61:1  The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2  To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

It is a wonderful thing the anointing that Jesus Christ had.  He was ready to begin his ministry in Luke 4.  He is just the same today.

Isa 61:3  To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

There are a lot of things that God burns up in our personalities.  We have all had the experience in our life where God checked out our building and said, “This is not done right.  I don’t want to patch it up.”  Brother Roy told me that the difference between a good carpenter and a bad is that a good carpenter can cover up His mistakes a bad leaves them there for everyone to see.

God is different in our spiritual building when we goofed up or built in ignorance, or built in carnality, sometimes we build under pressure.  Someone comes along and gives opinion we build a resistance with question marks and exclamations.  God comes along and says, “There are some things here that I don’t like.”  We say, “Burn them up.”  God says, “I don’t want any patch marks.  I want to start over here.”

There is real heartache for the saints when lives get messed up in things and beautiful lives become ugly.  We give it to God and he has a way of giving beauty for ashes.

He gives the oil of joy for mourning.  Someone in the gospel day left the testimony, “I am an extremely happy man.”  I’m so glad that I found the way of happiness.  Everything is perfect with me and my relationship with God.

We can talk about how bad we feel about this or that and that does nothing to help us in our soul.  We have a lot that we can be thankful for.  We can thank God for each other.  We can thank God we have fellowship.

A couple came to us that had been with Danny Lane.  They had felt that things were so good there that they would sign a contract to just keep it that way.  When the time came where they saw that what they thought was gold was just fool’s gold, they told Danny Lane that they wanted to go.  He said told them ok, you can go.  A few months later there was a knock on the door and they were being evicted from the building.  In the contract they had signed it was written that if they would ever leave Danny was to have the building.

As they talked to us, they asked, “Who are you with anyway?”  I was so happy to tell them, that I was with God.  God and truth has not changed.  I am not looking; I have already found the last day prophet: Jesus.  Truth has not changed.  I have never had Him give me fool’s gold.  I am an extremely happy man.  I thank God for the good fellowship that I have.  How I thank God for the good years we had with brother Maconahae.

God gives the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.  Aren’t you glad that you are not around someone that wants to cover you with a cloud of accusation or a cloud of anything else?

Trees of righteousness.  It is wonderful to be planted by God.

Psa 1:1  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Psa 1:2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Psa 1:3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

That one that is planted by the waters is the one that walks not after the counsel of the ungodly.  The wonderful, counselor needs the comma there.  Wonderful means that He is the miracle worker.  He is the wonder of light.

The wonder of dark is Satan and all the evil that gathers in the eighth beast with all deceivableness of unrighteousness.

It is good to be a tree planted by the waters.  If you drink good water all the time and then you get something that is contaminated, you know that something is not right

Nor stands in the way of sinners:  There is nothing that I desire more than to live my life so that no one is hindered from serving God.  We don’t want to stand in the way of sinners.

Aren’t you glad to not be sitting in the seat of the scornful?  It is better to have the experience of that seat being empty.  We are not in it.

Psa 1:3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Luk 4:16  And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Luk 4:17  And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
Luk 4:18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luk 4:20  And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Luk 4:21  And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Isn’t it wonderful the anointing that was on Christ?  He is the anointed one.  He is still preaching the gospel to the poor.  Every time that we say, “God I really need you.”  He still preaches the gospel to the poor.

It is important that we know how to handle heartbreak.  George Matheson has helped me so much.  He knew heartbreak.  All of us brothers are fortunate to have married the love of our life.  He said, “Don’t let a day go by that you don’t enjoy fully.  Don’t live in remorse for the past.”  Thank God we have so much to be thankful for.

I know who holds tomorrow.  He will be ready to deliver.  He is ready to deliver the captive.  The problem is that the captives are not ready to be delivered.  They think that they have liberty because they can do as the spirit that holds them captive dictates.

He is ready to heal those that have been blinded.  People are blinded by seducing spirits, by the world.  If I am not careful tomorrow my mind will be flooded with things from the world that I can do nothing about.

David said, “Thy thoughts are precious to me.”  God has wonderful thoughts for us tonight and for us tomorrow.

There are a lot of beating spirits in the world.  As far as I know they are not here so there is no use trying to get them to give up their sword, hammer, or carnality.  If it should happen that you get beat and bruised, He is ready to come along and heal.
