Revelation 4:1 KJVR
(1) After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
God has a way of opening heaven and giving to us that which we need from God.
Revelation 4:2 KJVR
(2) And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
When we seek God with all of our heart, it is wonderful how the Holy Spirit appears to us.
Revelation 4:3 KJVR
(3) And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
We want to remember that not only does the Revelation show us Jesus on the throne but the complete rainbow shows us that all the promises of God are yea and amen in Christ. In our personal lives, our needs vary from time to time. There are certain things that we are always going to need; we’re always going to need His compassion and mercy. There are going to be seasons of severe trial as long as we have life and breath. We can remember though that His promises are full and complete for every situation that you and I face.
There are times that people stack up things against the pastor, their parents, or a person in the congregation but there is never a reason to backslide.
The song that we sang first, “Light breaks at Last.” Was written by DO Teasley. God brought him through trial after trial and there was no reason for him to backslide. He backslid and spent a number of years in sin and on his deathbed, the old-timers went to him to try to get him to turn back to God. He told them that it was too late and turned his face to the wall. There is never a reason to backslide, saints.
There were the 12 apostles that sought after God, in the New Testament there were other men and women seeking after God, and today there are men and women seeking after God.
Thank God for the children that are being taught to seek God. We believe, thank God , that there will continue to be souls saved that will be seekers after God.
Revelation 4:4 KJVR
(4) And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
They had crowns; they had won victories. Thank God for every victory that you and I have won.
Revelation 4:5 KJVR
(5) And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
When we have something that we don’t know what to do about, there is a throne in heaven and a rainbow about that throne. As we seek God, light from heaven will come down from that throne. There will be lightening and thundering and God will send what we need in the situation.
It thrills God’s heart when His children let Him know that, “Dear God, I can’t handle this on my own.”
In the Psalms of degrees, David started out talking about his troubles. Then in a further Psalm, David shows that He got past his troubles.
Psalms 121:1-2 KJVR
(1) A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
(2) My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
Until people realize that they are lost they can’t be saved.
Talk about encouragement: “My help comes from the Lord which made heaven and earth.”
He was saying, “God can just speak the word and anything can be done!”
Psalms 121:3 KJVR
(3) He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Trials may come from the east or the west or any direction and try to get you to start side-stepping, but your feet don’t need to be moved.
This God, that keeps Israel, neither slumbers nor sleeps.
Psalms 121:5 KJVR
(5) The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
Thy shade represents God’s anointing. We need God’s anointing upon whatever we do. We ought never to send an email or any other communication without knowing that it is alright with God. The same thing goes with the telephone.
We have a great task upon us and that is to rescue souls. It doesn’t matter who they are, all have souls and all need to be saved. When we begin to work with souls, may God have His hand upon us.
Psalms 121:6-7 KJVR
(6) The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
(7) The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
Keep seeking God. Everywhere you go the world will tell you how terrible false-religion is. Stay right with God.
When People leave God and do evil, they’re not hurting me, they are hurting God. If you decide that there is something that you are not going to measure to, you are hindering every one that is watching you.
Sanders County has been made very well aware of the frailty of life. Children dying and aged people dying awakens in us an awareness of the frailty of life. Christ Church New Zealand: Can you imagine being in a city where there are over 100 young people probably pulverized by the results of an earthquake?
There is no divine savior except God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit of God.
God’s promises are yea and amen to every generation that seeks God.
Psalms 121:8 KJVR
(8) The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
Come in ready to pray and ready to seek God.
