Brother Gary Sunday Evening 4/29/12

Brother Gary Sunday Evening 4/29/12
Rev 7:9  After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Rev 7:10  And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

The Word of God and the design of God are for all nations.  We have hope tonight that in every nation there will be someone that loves God.  If they love and fear God the Bible tells us that they will be accepted of God.

All kindreds: no social class is unaccepted of God.  If they will love God they will be acceptable of God.
They cried Salvation to our God – they had it together.  They knew where salvation came from.

Rev 7:11  And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

It is a wonderful thing to worship God.  If you have ever found yourself just going through a form and not worshipping God, just being there, then God in His mercy wakes us.  He tells us, “You need to worship God.”

Rev 7:12  Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

They were saying, “We need to give God back the blessing.”  He has blessed us in that John the Baptist was born.  We are blessed that He sent His only begotten son.  We are blessed to have the Word and the Spirit of God to teach us and lead us.  They witness to truth and to error.

Glory – the presence and honor of God.  Wisdom – true wisdom comes from God.

Not just in America but in the world there are a lot of things that are unsettled.  Oh how we need wisdom!  When wisdom is sought from God and found, it always works right.

If all employers had the wisdom of God then every place would be a good place to work.  If all employees had the wisdom of God then they would all be good employees.  This is just one of the many examples.

Thanksgiving – God inhabits our praise, Psalms chapter 22.  David was a long time before Christ but God gave him this marvelous psalm full of prophecy of Christ.  We are so blessed to have God.

It is wonderful that He whom we serve never slumbers nor sleeps.  He is always there.  There is no person in this audience that is homeless.  We are blessed.  Our homes are warm and our homes are clean.  We are blessed!  We are not only blessed that way but we are blessed that we understand the scriptures.  We have the whole Bible plus we have the Holy Spirit.  We are blessed.

It is wonderful that we have those to call.  We don’t have to bear our burdens alone.  There are ceiled houses right here in Paradise, they could call but they are mixed up in their minds.  They don’t think they have anyone to call.

God deserves such honor tonight.  We believe in honoring our mother and father and honoring our brothers and sisters.  Everyone that has stood the test and is climbing Mt Zion, we really appreciate them.  And in reality all honor goes back to God.

God is so good.  We have a lot to honor God about.  Sister Linda had cancer 23 years ago.  She is retiring today, and has worked hard all her life.  We are so blessed and all honor goes to Him.

Power – Oh the power of God, we give it all back to Him.  Might be to God forever and ever.

Rev 7:13  And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

This is a good question isn’t it?  This is an innumerable company and they are praising God.  The answer: These are they that came out of great tribulation.

Rev 7:14  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Where ever you are in your trials, you may be going through the greatest battle that you have ever been in.   God wants you to come out with the victory.  He doesn’t want you to stay in distress and heartache all the time.

They washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb.  Tough times can either bring out the best in us or the worst in us.  Tragedy either causes people to draw close to God or draws them away from God.  It either causes them to become bitter or sweeter.

God I want you to wash any imperfections away.

Rev 7:15  Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
Rev 7:16  They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

Let God feed you.  Sunday school teachers, choir, song leaders and all others, let God feed you.

Aren’t you glad that you are not thirsting for the world?  I’m so happy to be saved.  It is so wonderful to be missing the world.  It is wonderful to be missing the bar crowd.  I’m going to feel so much better than them tomorrow morning.  I feel much better than them tonight.  I don’t need anything to help me deal with life.  I have Jesus.

I don’t feel like I’ve scratched the surface of truth.  I don’t feel that I’ve arrived.  The more that I study the more that I feel I need to study, the more that I study and pray the more that I realize that “God I need you now.”

I don’t want to go somewhere and receive recognition; the only one that I want to be recognized by is God.  We are not thirsting, unsatisfied.

God knows how much sun we can take without it being a killer.  The sun can kill.  He could have killed me with this word of God but He caused just enough to shine on me.
