Bro Gary Sunday Morning 5/13/12
Pro 31:18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
Who can find a virtuous woman… her candle goes not out my
night. Her candle has been lit by Jesus
Christ. As the church, the bride of
Christ, you can have this blessing and privilege of having a source that will
keep your candle fed with oil, keep the lamp clean, and the wick properly
trimmed and burning. We are very blessed
that God has ordained the candle to stay lit and bright.
Psa 119:105 NUN. Thy word is
a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
We will all face dark days, indecision, sorrow, and the
night season when we don’t know what to do.
As you as mothers journey with your children, your families and
companions, God will lead and guide you no matter how dark the night or
difficult the times are.
His word is a lamp and a light. It is vitally important to have that lamp
when you face darkness, not knowing what or how to do or deal with the
difficult season of your life.
You can have sincere, godly, or off the cuff counsel, but it
is wonderful to know that there is a God in heaven that can not only hear your
cry but can read your heart and know your situation. You can rest assured that He will send His Word
to light your feet and direct your path.
As saved individuals living for and serving God, there is no
situation where God’s Word won’t cover our life. We all understand and know that God hasn’t
given you and me the position where we are to come to Him in a demand. He honors us humbling ourselves before Him,
submitting to Him and worshipping Him first and then telling Him of the
situation that we are faced with this day.
There are seasons of motherhood and there are many seasons
in life for us all. There will be
seasons where we are severely tested.
God spoke this Word and we can rest assured that our candle will not go
out by night.
1Ti 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the
commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
Jesus Christ is our hope.
It is wonderful to have a lively hope. With whatever we could face, it is marvelous
to face it knowing that if we can properly get it submitted to God then we can
face the situation with hope. You might
not be able to comprehend Jesus Christ because He is so great but He can give
us hope.
1Co 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these
three; but the greatest of these is
charity.
We can rest assured that through the Word of God our candle
can be lit and remain lit and that through Jesus Christ there will be faith,
hope and charity.
Pro 31:20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea,
she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
She has a giving heart.
She lays down her life to give birth.
There has been many a mother that gave her life in having a child.
She is giving of herself all day and all night. Many virtuous women have given up careers to
be a mother. They give up many of the
things that money would buy; “I’d rather give it up than have what money can
buy.” They give of themselves in hope
that that son or daughter will love them and love and serve God.
Pro 31:20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea,
she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
Dressed in scarlet is in reference to them having double
clothing or being well dressed. This not
only deals with the thought of being saved and sanctified, but to having on the
garment of praise, robed in righteousness and humility. This also refers to: when there is a job to
be done they put on their work clothes and get it done.
Pro 31:23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he
sitteth among the elders of the land.
Her husband is known to have a helpmeet. One of the greatest wisdoms that husbands can
have is to recognize that God has ordained for their wife to be their
helpmeet. No man can be of much use
unless he has a proper appreciation for his wife. God has ordained that we learn together and
have a helpmeet. A good man is known to
have someone behind him helping him to be successful.
Pro 31:25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time
to come.
Sometimes we need to go before God and say how weak we
are. Say, “I’m really weak and I need
strength.” When we feel weak, pressed
and stressed, when all the forces of the enemy are targeting our mind, we can
come before our brothers and sisters in Christ and ask them to pray that we be
worthy to be a receiver of this strength.
We can be strengthened to get the job done. We are all faced with multiple things that we
can spend our energy on, if we rest with God then he will give strength for the
job that He would have us do.
The honor that He gives no one can take from you.
Pro 31:25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time
to come.
“She shall rejoice in time to come.” Rest assured, virtuous mothers and church of
God. Be true to God, be virtuous and you
can have this promise.
Pro 31:26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her
tongue is the law of kindness.
There is no more beautiful thought to me than having control
over my tongue.
Pro 31:27 She looketh well to the ways of her
household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
We look well to the ways of our household, there is nothing
like a heads up given in love. It is
wonderful to be taking care of one another.
It is good when one looks upon a tired brother or sister and helps them
carry their burden.
It is wonderful when our brothers and sisters in Christ have
a desire to help. We want Bro Richard to
receive more than he gives out when he comes to minister to us.
Gal 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which
is the mother of us all.
Freedom is a wonderful thing. Freedom does not mean being lawless, but free
to obey God and trust Him.
In the natural and in the spiritual may all enjoy the rich
blessings of freedom to worship God and allow their lives to be blessed.
