Brother Bob Sunday School 4/7/13

Brother Bob Sunday School 4/7/13
Thank the Lord for His love to each one of us.  Think of the love that Jesus had in the sacrifice that He made.  God cares.  It is wonderful.

Like Brother Gary has brought, grieving is a natural process.  God really cares and He loves us so much.  His desire is for every heart to be healed.  I’m sorry that sister Klemstein isn’t here this morning because I’d ask her to sing that song about the upper window.  Noah was looking out to God through that upper window and God was there.

How are we traveling today?  Jesus paid a terrible price that we could travel first class.  The saints are traveling first class.  We don’t have to travel in the baggage compartment or with the devil rolling us around having his way with us.  Jesus paid the price for the victory.

Titus said “that we have no lack in this life”.  Jesus paid the full price.  Thank God we’ve been saved from a life of sin.  We don’t have to be a sinner or give any place to the devil.  God’s plan is for us to go from victory to victory.  We can be victorious in this life.

There is not any one person that has all the answers.  I have only a few, if any.  But the church, as every joint supplies, has quite a few of the answers.  Some of the answers we will never know until we reach that heavenly shore.

There is not one of us that can make it on our own.  In this wicked day that we live in we need each other.

Mat 12:18  Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
Mat 12:19  He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
Mat 12:20  A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
Mat 12:21  And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

God doesn’t want the saints to be loudmouthed but to spread the gospel in meekness and love.  Salvation is to whosoever will.

Jesus is gentle.  He took good care of the lambs and searched for those that were lost just like He searched for me.  It is a miracle that I am saved.

Psa 97:10  Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

We need to love the soul and hate evil.  We need to be the hand extended to the lost.  He knows how to deliver out of the hand of the adversary.  We have an adversary but Jesus paid the full price.  He paid it all for us that we would have no lack serving Him in this life.

The grace of God is sufficient to help us through every trial that we face.  There is no reason to be struggling with the devil.  We are human and the enemy is sly but as soon as we see and recognize, we need to flee to God and get that victory that he has for us.  We can be victorious.

Job 13:23  How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.

We need to pay attention to God.  When He shows us where we are if we are not where we need to be then let’s get there.  This is wisdom from God.

Job 28:28  And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

This is the remedy.  When God shows us our shortcomings, flee to Him and get the grace that He bought for us.  Then by turning from the evil we have understanding.

Pro 8:13  The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

We don’t want to be caught in any of these snares and we don’t have to be.

Rev 3:8  I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Rev 3:10  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

This is a real promise.

Rev 3:11  Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Rev 3:12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Isn’t this awesome!  It is for us.  There is no way that I can stress enough the love that Jesus has for us.  He wants every one of us to make it.  He is so faithful to us.  He checks us.  “If in anything you are otherwise minded, I will reveal even this unto you.”

If we stay close to God then God is able to reveal even the workings of the enemy.  Jesus paid it all that we could have love peace and joy.

This last year, I have been very careful.  My heart’s desire is to stay in the Spirit and have zero strife.  We don’t have time for that stuff.

Rev 3:13  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

I don’t know that there is one service that I go to in the Church of God with the saints that I don’t ask God to help me to hear what the Spirit says to the church.  I don’t want to just hear and not do.  If we hear and don’t do then we will not make it.  Jesus loved us so much that He paid the price for us to ride first class.   We don’t have to let the devil drag us around anywhere.

Rev 3:14  And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
Rev 3:15  I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 3:18  I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

God has no place in His plan for us to be lukewarm.  He wants us to take the things of God seriously.  God knows where we are.  We need to heed the Spirit and take the checks from the Word of God.  We need to be on fire for God and not give any place to the enemy.

This is talking of the day that we live in.  I believe that the end tie is nearer than we know.  The conflicts worldwide show us that the end is at our doorstep.  The whole world could blow up anytime.

We don’t have to be cold or warm; we can be hot.  Remember there is a first class ticket and the price of the ticket was paid.  Let’s not fail of the grace of God.  Let’s let God help us stay in the Spirit, on fire for Him, and with zero strife.

We don’t want to be with the number spewed out of His mouth.  The price has been paid for a first class ticket.  We don’t feel worthy but we are thankful.

If we come to the place that we think that we have it all then we are in trouble.  We are needy.  We need each other and we need God desperately.  We need each one here in Paradise.  You are beautiful.  We need each one.

The grace and the Spirit working together with the Word of God will unfailingly meet each test that we meet today.  It will get us to heaven.  Take the Word seriously.

Mat 11:12  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

This means that we have to press.  We will not just have a free ride where we lay back and take our ease.  If we are to make heaven then we will have to press.  We can.

Luk 16:16  The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

There are religions that teach that there are still prophets.  The Bible teaches that John the Baptist was the last prophet.  Don’t be deceived.
