Bro Gary Sunday Morning 3/4/12

Bro Gary Sunday Morning 3/4/12
Rev 14:4  These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

There are those that follow the Lamb whithersoever He leads.  There is much that could be said of drifting or of being driven and there is much to be said of following the Lamb of God whithersoever He leads.

He definitely leads in a direct path.  This is one of the witnesses that we have:  He never leads contrary to the Word of God but always in accordance to it.  We see that there are those that follow the Lamb of God.

Heb 12:22  But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Heb 12:23  To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Heb 12:24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

This is not a literal mountain, but a spiritual.  It is in this time world because this scripture is in present tense.
When God leads you He takes you to a designated spot spiritually.  He has definite places that He wants us to be spiritually.  Unless we follow Him we will be interrupted and clearly not on course with where He wants us to be.

This spiritual mountain is Mount Zion, the city of the Living God.  God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit have designed that there be a city set upon a hill that cannot be hid, the city of the Living God, a heavenly Jerusalem.  It is similar to the one in Heaven but it is here on earth.

As a city it has everything that you and I will need to help us and encourage us in our journey of serving God.  It is an important thing that we bring this morning; we have come to an innumerable company of angels.  We can develop a mind frame that I met yesterday, that no one in the world has it as difficult as we.  It is a spirit that visits both those that are saved and unsaved.

I’m here to tell you what you have come to.  Compared to living in sin and reaping from sin it is on the opposite end of the stick.  One reason why is that God has ordained that there be an innumerable company of angels.  You can grieve God and position yourself to not have God or the angels in your life.  God has ordained that we be undefiled and follow the Lamb of God where He leads us.

He will lead us in a spiritual journey.  We will still need to eat and sleep, we will still need the help of our brothers and sisters, and we will not be self-sufficient.  He leads us so that we are positioned with an innumerable company of angles.

Rev 5:11  And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

I’m not so sure how bad it is in the World today but the Bible tells us men will wax worse and worse.
Perilous times will come in the last day.  Because of this I believe it is a very bad world out there.  We are not of this world, we‘ve been called out of this world to something that is God designed and inspired, built by God, not from the counsels of men but designed by God.

We can follow Jesus Christ He leads to Mount Zion, the city of the Living God.  I cannot overestimate or emphasize this morning that God is alive.  The blood of Jesus Christ is just as alive this morning and has not lost its power.  It is just as alive today as when Jesus died on the cross and the blood flowed from the thorns and the spear that was thrust into His side.  This blood brings spiritual life to our soul.

There are times when we plead for the blood of Jesus Christ on our minds.  Our minds are targeted today.  They are so targeted that we would go into shock if we realized how many good thoughts we miss because the enemy is targeting our mind.  Instead we think of worldly cares and heartaches our failures and the failures of others.  Jesus is the fearless leader and leads us to an innumerable company of angels.

I’m convinced that God has wonderful things that He wants you to enjoy March 2012.  In order to be able to have them you will need the help of the innumerable company of angles.  Be alone with God and pray for the angels to help you.  You that have invested your time to be able to play instruments pray to play with inspiration of God and the help of the angels.

Pray that God will help you invite someone this week to church.  The difference between us and those we are around is that we are accompanied with an innumerable company of angels.  We want our life to be a model that God has something better to offer than what the world and the textbooks offer.  We need the innumerable company of angels today.

When we pray, when we train, we need the innumerable company of angels there so that we can make it and we can learn.  For the parents and grandparents that are here this morning, we need the innumerable company of angels as we train these precious children.

I wouldn’t want Sister Vi to go alone as she goes to her family.  It is wonderful that an innumerable company of angels can go with her.  I wouldn’t want to be in any town without the innumerable company of angles.

When you write a letter or go to make a call and you have the outreach paper, there will be others come in and have something to say, the difference is we have a designated leader and are accompanied by an innumerable company of angels.

Heb 12:23  To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

We are in a world that is so mixed up religiously.  I’m glad that Jesus left us His word.

Mat 16:18  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

It is a wonderful thing that we have come to and are born into the church of the firstborn that Jesus built.  Jesus is the firstborn.  You can have your name written down where it will not pass away with the passing of time.

Time has taught us that people like the thought: “I want to be remembered.”  A lot of effort goes into that.  Buildings named, tombstones of a certain size… I’m not against that but you and I know that this earth is going to be destroyed.  Those that lived 100 years ago and are buried in the cemetery here in Paradise; it is difficult at times to find anyone that knows anything about them.

There is a wonderful thing, may it ever be real to me, the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, leads us to keep our name written in the Lamb’s book of Life.

Rev 20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

We are blessed to have the Bible and to be able to turn on a light after dark and read it.

I’ve never had a vision like John had here.  He saw all the dead, the small and the great: those that were great or those that were considered no one.  He saw them stand before God.  The books were opened and the Book of Life.

We are so blessed to know about the book of Life.  It is not like any book on earth.  It is a book that God designed for those that would repent, confess and turn from their sin, and have their name inscribed in the book of life.

There are many books that are uninspiring and don’t leave you challenged to become a part of that book.  The dead were judged by those things that are written in the books.  There is a recording going on.

In life you will be misunderstood, don’t make an issue out of that.  It is how life is.  No matter how you labor to not be misunderstood, your labors will be misunderstood.  That is a part of the cross.

This is above any name of anyone on earth.  It is above the Kelly name, the Hayen name, the Mock name…  We are blessed to have our name, if we are saved, written in the Lamb’s Book of life.  This is not the only book that is there; there is a record book.  We will be judged out of those books.

God help us to realize that if our name is written in the Book of life and remains there then we need not be afraid of what is recorded in the other books.

Heb 12:23  To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

We’ve come to God the Judge of all.  You will be accused of being judgmental when all you do is show up.
There is something about God, about light, truth, life, and about having the word of God written on the fleshly tables of our heart that your very presence will cause in those that love darkness a very uncomfortable response to you showing up.

We are not there to judge, we are there because we love them.  Jesus said, “You are condemned already.”  People recognize that things are not right in their life they sometimes become defensive and want to talk of others and what is wrong with other’s lives.  One reason people have a faultfinding spirit is because they don’t have things right in their own life.

Others recognize in us that there is virtue, there is light and life.  That is God showing them a better way.

Many out there are seeking internet religion.  Don’t expect to find your soul fed on the internet.  If you begin to taste internet religion what goes with it is bitterness and gall.  There are people from every walk of life and every division that is known in the world that are spewing out bitterness on the internet.

You cannot drink of sweet water and bitter.  You cannot do it.  You are not a super woman or man; you are not a super saint or super anything.  We are men and women of like passion.  You cannot eat of the Lord’s table and of the devil’s.

I’m glad that we came to something.  God lead us to something.  Aren’t you glad that you are a part of what God has engineered?

We’ve come to the spirits of just men made perfect.  We appreciate the children that are here this morning.  Those that are seeking after God are trying to learn how to handle the bad situations they may find themselves in.  How should I handle when someone does me wrong.  We’re glad for those parents, grandparents, and teachers that are trying to help them know how to handle things right.

“We’ve come to just men”, this is not just about children.  We’re not going to put the responsibility of the Gyme Kelly family on their youngest son.  He is just a little boy.  As we walk with God we are instructed to put away childish things and there comes to be a maturity.  If someone stays a baby too long, they become spoiled and everyone caters to them they never become a mature man or woman.

There was a young man in Tampa that was 25 or 30 years old that called the pastor to come help him change a tire.  Bro Griffin said to me, “Don’t you think he could have changed his own tire?”  There is a right time to call.  You cannot train someone that is spoiled.  They must mature and say, “God, I’ve drank my milk, it is time to put away childish things.”

The attributes of carnality desire to be with the “in group”, there is no “in group”.  Or with the “Super Spiritual”, there is no such thing as “super spiritual”.  We all need to encourage each other to walk humbly with God; know how to mature.  We need to know how to handle the influx of information that we have.  Know what to spread around and what to be quiet about.  Know how to leave some things in the lap of the Lord.

“The spirits of just men made perfect.”

2Co 7:1  Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

You and I having our spirit perfected.

Heb 12:24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

We are so blessed.  I realize the Old Testament was a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ and has the same truths of the New.  It is one of the witnesses so that we can know truth.  There are two witnessed, the Old and the New Testament.

In the Old Testament they found forgiveness of sin but they never experienced the newness of life that is offered in the New Testament.  In Solomon’s day he offered 10,000 sheep at a specific time to God.  He went through lots of offerings for sin.  That blood did not make the people perfect before God neither did it change their heart.

We’ve come to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant:

Heb 8:10  For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Heb 8:11  And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Heb 8:12  For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

The blood of the Lord Jesus Christ changes everyone that confesses and repents so that heart and mind is no longer void of the Word of God but has the Law of God written there.

When I think of the blood:  We need to realize that in Christ Jesus we who were afar off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

There is something about being close to God and His Son and to have the Holy Spirit near to us.  I get lonesome.  As my mother aged she wanted to have church more and more.  There is this lonesomeness that develops from being together.

I don’t know that I will ever go to Miami again but I am already lonesome for those saints.  I don’t know when I will see Bro Davis again but I’m lonesome for him.  I’m lonesome for Bro Davis’ daughter Dianne.  The blood of Christ draws us to Christ and then to His body and then there is a drawing to those that the body is burdened for.

Some of you in this audience can remember Sister Betty Davis’ last prayer request, “When I am gone pray for my children.”  The blood of Jesus Christ draws us closer to God.

We are blessed to have come to Jesus the mediator of the New Testament and to the blood of Jesus a better sacrifice than that of Abel.

Abel’s offering was accepted of God but Jesus became the Lamb of God and His sacrifice speaks of better things.  God respected Abel’s offering and he was forgiven of his sin but Jesus’ blood gives life.

Peace made possible by the blood of Christ.

Thank God for the blood that speaks peace.  When you feel that you are trespassed you can forgive because you have been forgiven.  Peace comes.  This is better than the lamb that Abel offered.

That blood of Abel’s lamb did not warrant the opportunity and the privilege of going into the holy place.  When we stand before the golden altar and say, “My sins are forgiven and my sinful nature has been removed, I want to go into the Holiest of Holies and worship.”

The blood gives protection.  I pray for our grandchildren.  These parents know things about raising children that I don’t know.  When they are praying they say, “God please keep the blood over the door post of my children.”  We understand that need of protection because of the spirits that are loosed in the world today.

You and I have that wonderful privilege of saying, “God I don’t feel my road is any rougher than anyone else’s.  All our roads are targeted with evil.”  When you think of the Blood of Christ over the doorpost of your heart, your mind, of your emotions it brings a protection.  “Let that blood be over the doorpost of my emotions lest they control me.”

“They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony.”  When the enemy comes to take you peace say, “I’m going to do the talking and it is going to be about God.”  We each need to tell our testimony.  “I’ve started for God and I’m not going to turn to the right or to the left.”

The blood is there to keep our conscience alive.  Keep the blood on your conscience so that before you speak any words your conscience weighs them.
