Sister Timberly Sunday School 2/7/16

Joh 14:15  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh 14:16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

We don’t want to quench the Holy Spirit in teaching and in being taught.

Psa 108:12  Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

Psa 108:13  Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

The first thought is on being teachable.  Being teachable puts you in a position that is excellent.  It allows you to not have a lower or a higher roll than others but God is your help.

Even when we receive Help from people it comes from God.  God uses people even when they don’t know Him.

You might be having a bad day or going through a trial and God can use even a song that is not a church song to help you in your life.  He can use anything.  He used a donkey.

Zec 4:6  Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Zec 4:7  Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

When we realize that God is our help it helps us to take ourselves out of the equation.

2Sa 22:35  He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Psa 18:34  He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

We need God to teach us how to fight.  Sometimes he uses people to help us.  We need help.

Psa 144:1  A Psalm of David. Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

He will teach us how to fight this fight.  We always need help.  When we are in the battle we wonder, “Should I touch this or put it on the table?”  If we wait, God will help us.

Ask God, “If you want me to handle this then give me inspiration to handle it.  I may mess it up.”  When I pray that way a lot of times I will have a word or an inspiration to help.  We can go to God.

When you are facing adversity, anything that tries to hinder you from doing or being what you know God wants you to do or to be is adversity.

If you are facing that then know how to fight.  Get a coach and start training.  Don’t quench the spirit by being passive.  You won’t learn what God has for you if you don’t do what is right.  Get a backbone and stand up.

1Ti 4:12  Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

1Ti 4:13  Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

This is our role as a student.  Don’t allow people to despise your youth.  Get in training.  Be an example to the believers.  It is all about love.

Give an attendance as a student to reading, exhortation, and to doctrine.  If, when someone gives a testimony, we are in la-la land then we will not get what God has for us.  Give attention to every word as Brother Gary preaches.

God wants us to be a body and to stay humble.  We don’t want to get the attitude that we know it all.  We are always learning and it is God’s plan that we learn from each other.  The youngest one can teach the oldest.

Php 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

1Co 13:1  Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

1Co 13:2  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1Co 13:3  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

1Co 13:4  Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1Co 13:5  Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

1Co 13:6  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

1Co 13:7  Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1Co 13:8  Charity never faileth:
