Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 3/11/15
Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink;
but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Rom 14:18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
God knew how to awaken Paul.
He knows how to awaken men and women spiritually. He is God.
We are taught to pray in the Lord’s Prayer, “Thy kingdom
come.” The Kingdom of God is
righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
When we get saved, we are born again into the Kingdom of God. We need to remember to cry out to God that we
want to serve God in His kingdom; in righteousness, in peace, and in joy in His
kingdom every day.
Without the Kingdom of God real in our life there will be
little joy, little peace, and no righteousness in our life.
“Thine is the kingdom.”
This kingdom is His. “Thine is
the power.” The power of the kingdom of
God is God’s power. It is an eternal
power. We feel inadequate to what we
face, to write a letter, to go to visit, to try to preach, to sing or to bring
a lesson. Don’t allow our feeling of
inadequacy to make us think that we don’t need to do it. Instead we need to say, “We really need you,
God, today.”
All the honor, thanksgiving and praise go back to God. We are nothing and we can do nothing. We don’t need to reinvent that we are a
failure without God. Let’s know, keep,
and practice it.
Jesus concluded the Lord’s Prayer with an “amen”. We rest totally in faith that God will answer
our petition. “So be it.”
Serve God in righteousness.
Be right with God. We don’t want
to be wrong or out of step with God. We want
to be right with God. We know that entails
being saved, sanctified, dedicated, obedient, corrected, and washed.
I want to be right in the thought, I am a servant
consecrated to God. I want to be wherever
you are. Sometimes we make plans and
think things that don’t work out. It is
ok. We need to have the attitude, “Lord
this is in your hands.”
In righteousness and obedient. A servant in prayer. We need to feel the weight of our town our
children, and our elderly at this time.
I don’t know what the devil is trying to do, but I want to be standing
for God in serried rank, lifting the banner and supplicating, “Dear God bind
those spirits. Send the Holy Spirit of God. Help us to be as a lighthouse with a beacon going
out in the thought, “There is an eye watching you.””
We serve a God that can get his eye on any situation and
cause them to know that there is an eye watching them.
A servant of thanksgiving and of good works. We serve God in peace. That is acceptable with God. He doesn’t want you to feel that you are all
ready to fall apart. God took all the
discordant strands, the tangles of myself, brought the desire to serve Him
brought us from wrath, pride, and dysfunction and as we begin to confess,
repent and turn, He set us at one again.
I
t is marvelous. I
think of the man that came out of the tombs.
When He got to Jesus however disarranged his mind was, tormented by legions
of devils, unclothed; but when he got to Jesus, He set him in his right mind,
delivered him, and set him at one again.
Most of us will be visited with a spirit of unbelief or fear
or whatever and feel our self start to churn.
God wants us at peace, set at one again.
God is not the author of churning, but of peace. He is not the author of confusion or of
wrath, but of peace.
This is acceptable with God and approved of men. Serving God with joy in the Holy Spirit.
Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink;
but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Rom 14:18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
The kingdom is of God.
It reigns only in the hearts of the redeemed. Pray that His kingdom will come. Daily seek God that His kingdom come to our
hearts and reign. It only comes from the
Spirit of God.
Isa 12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of
the wells of salvation.
We like an invitation.
Come and bring joy and draw waters out to the well of salvation.
Rom 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and
peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy
Ghost.
There were some things that they needed. The God of hope. Joy is a wonderful thing.
Isaiah chapter 56 deals with the thought of someone not
having any sons, the stranger, that individual that is from a totally different
country, if they get to Zion, He will bring them to the holy mountain.
Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain,
and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their
sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine
altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
Isa 56:8
The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I
gather others to him, beside those that
are gathered unto him.
That individual that has no family, never had a son or
daughter. They may look about the whole
USA, “I don’t know that I have any family.”
He says, “If they will come to me, I will make them joyful in my house
of prayer.”
When you come to get saved and forsake houses and family,
then God says, “That is not the end of the story, I start giving back.”
I will make them joyful in my house of prayer and of
worship. My house will be called a house
of prayer for all people.
Those that serve God in righteousness, peace, and joy are
accepted of God and of men.
