Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 1/29/14

Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 1/29/14
Isa 66:8  Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

This scripture deals with the thought of travail.  This scripture was fulfilled in the Morning Time church shortly after God set the church into motion.  I believe that the church prevailing was not just a onetime thing.  It could not be for the morning time church and yet not be a reality for us today.  Just as the morning time church had the gifts and the power, the gifts and the power are for us today.

Act 2:41  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

There is a preparation of people’s heart before they receive the Word of God.  When they come to the place where they realize, “There is really something wrong in my life,” then they will gladly receive the Word of God.

Act 2:42  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Prayer is a huge subject in the New Testament.  It means asking, requesting, and worshipping God.  They all go together.  When we are beseeching God with requests or worshipping God they all come back in the complete form as adoration and requests.

Act 4:31  And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

We want to keep it so that we shake and tremble before God.  Felix trembled when he heard Paul speak of righteousness, temperance, and of judgment.  God knows the exact thing that people need to hear.

We may look at someone and be sure that they need to hear the message on repentance, but they may not know what virtue is.  Virtue is modesty.  God knows the right message for the right place and He knows how to send it.

“When they had prayed the place was shaken.”  There is a fervency of prayer that God has for us that is designed to increase as we eat of the tree of life and go out further and further in the river.  My job is to challenge myself and everyone here.

There is a part in the human side of us we see, many have started out on fire for God.  One lady in Anderson told Timberly, “Oh I remember the old paths.”  Yet she didn’t say she was walking in them.  The design of God is that we would progress to a greater fervency in our prayer life, to the thought of travailing for souls.

The book of Matthew was written by Matthew mostly for the religious people of the day.

Mat 6:5  And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

It is hard to find someone that is not praying; we live in a world of pray-ers.  Matthew knew that.  These pray-ers loved to pray in the synagogue and in the corners of the streets.  This scripture is for today, it is relived everyday when you see these people that are worldly and dressed like the world and you see the literal needs.  They pray up a storm and everyone around them knows they are praying.

They pray to be seen of men.  They want people to know that they are praying.  If you say anything to them you will find out that they have a spirit that is released that is like a lion and a bear and other things in Isaish 35.

“When you pray, enter into the closet.”  There is something about earnest prayer, such a heart cry unto God, that you want no distraction from anything else.

Mat 9:36  But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

This is our testimony.  We see the religious as well as those that are out on the broadway of sin going as fast as they can go.  When we see them, our heart is moved with compassion.

Mat 9:37  Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Mat 9:38  Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

The labor of prayer:  God we are to pray that you will send laborers out into the harvest but first I must be a laborer in prayer.  Labor.  Labor.

Laboring in prayer.  It is as much of my routine to have devotions as it is to brush my teeth.  If I wasn’t able to get up I would still have my devotions.  Yet there is this labor.  Having devotions is not the same as laboring in prayer.

There is no partiality here tonight.  Yes my grandchildren lay close to my heart.  But there is no partiality.  This laboring in prayer for a soul: “Lord, let me help some soul”.  All these requests that came in tonight, the spoken, the unspoken, if you and I don’t pray and labor, then who is going to?

In the parable of the Kingdom of Heaven, the householder went out to hire laborers.  As I read this parable again, I thought, “God help me to grasp more of what you are telling us.”  What stuck out to me here was that Jesus went out early in the morning to hire laborers in his vineyard.  This is talking about the church, not necessarily the world.

He agreed for a penny a day.  The promises are ours if we pray.  Are we willing to labor?  Labor takes being really intense.  When I have something that is really strenuous to do, I want to do it when I am fresh in my mind and can remember where I have laid things. I want to do it so that I can get it done.

Laboring in prayer:

1Ti 2:1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

What supplications are:  seeking God, laboring and travailing in supplications for souls to be protected from evil spirits that will destroy them.

We read of these people that are in terrible shape, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally and how they are out to abuse children.  What evil is out there!

I believe that you parents and grandparents are good parents and grandparents, but being a good parent and grandparent is not enough.  We must supplicate in prayer.  “God protect souls from evil spirits.”

Intercessions means going before God for those that have needs.  As urgent as the prayer requests are, we are not to pray lightly.  “God I want to travail, I want to intercede.”

Seven expressions under the meaning of travail:

To bring forth:  As Sister Sue brought the unnamed girl before us, travailing to bring forth from that to this.  A little help is not enough.  “Things are better.”  Has there been a total change?  Then we need to travail.

To be in pain, to be much sore pained:  Do I know how to travail?

Tarry:  You mothers that gave birth naturally in this audience, the little that I know about it is that most mothers don’t go in and five minutes later are holding a 7 lb 8 oz baby.  They go because there is pain.

Do I now the steps of travail?  I believe there is a depth for us to find.

Tremble:  There are little babies that come into this world and it is just a matter of minutes and if whatever doesn’t happen however it should, some of them are lost.  When I think of the pain of a soul being lost!  You say, “If I travail, will everyone that I travail for be saved?”  They have the choice but I also have the choice to travail.

Trust:  There is something about when you and I begin to travail; we are showing God that we are trusting for a miracle.  There are souls that my heart longs to see saved.

Wait carefully:  There is something about travailing, when Karen was getting ready to bring Kathy into the world we were camped in Tamarack Crick.  The Doctor said, “You have to be closer than that.”

May God challenge all of us in the thought of travailing.  We talk of travailing for souls, and that includes our worship services, our visitation, and our communication.

As we are before God the rest of this week we’ve had our devotions and prayed, you may be able to have devotions and travail then that is fine, I cannot yet.

You say, “God I am here travailing but I am here also waiting for instruction, what can I do to be ready for Sunday morning?  Shall I make a meal, invite someone in, or make a home visit?

I covet your prayer that I will travail and labor in prayer for precious souls.  It is needful that we travail and know how to carry a burden, labor in prayer, and hold on in prayer for souls.

Brother Gary Sunday Evening 1/26/14

Brother Gary Sunday Evening 1/26/14
Psa 46:1  To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psa 46:2  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Psa 46:3  Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Psa 46:4  There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

We saw in Revelation that that river is pure, clear, and in the midst is the tree of life.  God made a way in this time world that we can get to Jesus.  Follow Him all the way and He will be there.  Thank God He is on the eternal side of the river of life.

Psa 48:1  A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.
Psa 48:2  Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.
Psa 48:3  God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

Every time we meet with God it is as if it were a palace.  I understand the thought of: it is where we would meet with God in the thought of tabernacle worship, the sacrifice of the lamb for the sin of mankind, and Jesus is that great sacrifice.  It is a wonderful place to meet with God.  As we come to the place of worship and go through that door and see the bread that is there.  It is wonderful to have the bread of life, the Word of God.

Joh 6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

It is a real palace wherever we are whenever we are worshipping or whenever God brings a song, a conviction, a scripture, or a warning.  It is a wonderful thing to have God meet with us.

It is wonderful to have a true refuge, a true hiding place.  I enjoyed a little time with the grandchildren outside, we were playing ‘old games’: kick the can, hide and seek, treasure hunt.  It was so interesting how they would have me count, “You should count, Cade can only count to five or six.”

In other words:  I should be it.  I should do the counting and they do the hiding.  The places they chose to hide were not true hiding spots.  I did my best to act as if I were searching.  God is a true refuge and hiding spot from the storm.

Isa 25:1  O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Isa 25:4  For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

There are times and they are not that rare when we really need strength.  Sometimes the strength is to carry a burden, to care for a soul, and sometimes it is literal.  The duties of life can be a challenge.

God is a strength to the poor and a strength to the needy in his distress.  There will be times when we are in distresses and will not know which way to turn.  The promise is that He will be a strength.

A refuge from the storm:  the storm comes to those that are on the rock and to those that are on the sand.  Only those that are on the rock are able to withstand the storm and there is a refuge from the storm.

He is a shadow from the heat.  He will not allow more than you can take.  He will not put more on you than you are able to bear.  You can make it through.

God has a way of removing that which needs to be removed.

Isa 28:9  Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
Isa 28:10  For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Isa 28:11  For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
Isa 28:12  To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

This Word of God makes a refuge for us every time.  Wherever you are tonight, God’s Word will be a refuge.  Isn’t that a wonderful thing?  It is a refuge and a rest.

Heb 4:9  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

It starts with the Word of God and the first work.  It starts with the rest we receive when we confess, repent, and turn to God.  I still remember the night that I first God saved.  That was the best night’s rest that I had ever had.  God has given us rest many times.

We thank God for the times when the burden is so heavy and the heart is broken and we bow beside the bed and cry out, “God I have to get his over on you.”  You cast your burden on the lord and know that you can leave it there.  You have faith that you can trust God.  The burden doesn’t stop there.

There were those in verse 12 that would not hear.  Every soul has the opportunity to have soul rest.

Mat 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

As it was in Isaiah’s day there were those that would not obey the Word of God.  Without obedience to the Word of God there was no rest.  There is a danger, when people don’t take the rest that God has: it doesn’t stop the Word of God.

Isa 28:13  But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
Isa 28:14  Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
Isa 28:15  Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

This is an extremely sad condition we can have a secure hiding place with the Word of God and with Jesus, but to think that for some reason, (that reason is rebellion and self, it is wanting the world and what it has to offer.), they refuse the rest.  Church, take advantage of the rest that was purchased for you by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Those that rebel make lies their refuge and hide under falsehood.

Isa 28:16  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
Isa 28:17  Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

It is possible to be resting in a refuge that is not on the Word of God and God in His goodness sends the hail, the strong Word of God, to sweep away the refuge of lies.  There is no Word of God that is not strong.  The message on salvation is a powerful message.  You can go to John 3 and preach on Nicodemus and if you can find a stronger message…, it is a strong message, “You must be born again.”

God gives a verdict.  It is His judgment.  Every one of us is so blessed.  When we are worshipping, praying, seeking God, singing, doing our work and God comes and visits us just as He did Adam and Eve.  He visited Noah, He visited Moses.  When God comes and visits us if there is anything that He wants to talk to us about, He talks though His Spirit and the Word of God.

The Spirit always agrees with the Word of God and we know when He is talking to us.  The Word of God comes down from Heaven and He gives a verdict.  You don’t have to wonder if you have a need; God gives a verdict.  You don’t have to wonder if He has heard prayer.  You don’t have to wonder, “Should I do this or that.”  We just need to bring it to Him, be quiet, and let God talk.

I don’t need to tell God everything, God knows, but we can bring that prayer request to God.  God knows.  He knows how to give a verdict to everyone.  You and I might think, “What so-in-so needs to hear is a message on…”  I’m not saying that they don’t, but God knows how to bring the line down on whatever they might need.

God has a marvelous way of bring a revelation of truth, “This is truth and this is error.”  I’ve seen it over and over again; that is how God works.

Judgment to the line… not only does He know how to show the need but He shows how to get the need met.

I remember when a young man told me that he would like to come and talk to me.  I don’t know how God dealt with him to bring to his mind that maybe not everything he had heard was true.  He had a notebook with however many pages of things and started asking me questions.  He closed the notebook and said, “I think they are all lies.”

You don’t have to defend yourself.  Know where your field of labor is and work it and God has a way of sweeping away the refuge of lies.  He has a way of revealing and opening eyes.  He is God.

Their covenant of death will be disallowed.

Isa 28:18  And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Isa 28:21  For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

Perazim was a battle that David was in that there was no way to win but God gave the victory.  The next was a battle that was the same for Joshua.  That is how God is.

It is termed in the scripture, “His strange work.”  Never underestimate what a refuge we have in God and how God is able to work.  People will term that it is ‘strange.’

Isa 31:5  As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

Whenever we are in a situation where we need divine intervention and a refuge, we can trust God to come down as He did from on high; that can be a refuge for anyone.

Isa 28:23  Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
Isa 28:24  Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
Isa 28:25  When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?
Isa 28:26  For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.

God moved on Isaiah with the thought of the preparation of the soil for the sowing.  You all know that you don’t harvest potatoes like you harvest cabbage.  God knows how to harvest every precious soul He is dealing with.  That is not for you and me to decide.

Isa 28:29  This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.

Whatever you need God knows how to sow the seed and harvest the increase.

“In His love let me hide”, was written by Lucena C. Byrum who was born in 1882 and lived in Seattle Washington.  She got saved and worked for God.  When she was 22 years old she went to West Virgenia to work in the Gospel Publishing House.  She wrote this song in 1905.

As I found this song and then read her hymn story, I thought of God’s wonderful working.  While she was there brother Byrum’s wife died and left a baby of 5 months old and three teenagers.  We certainly would not want this to happen but can you imagine brother Gyme Kelly’s brother being left with those three teenagers.

Not only where there three teenagers and a baby five months old, there were two others.  God had prepared this dear lady.  Brother Byrum’s wife died in September, 1907.  In October, about a year later, this precious sister married him and raised those dear children.

God called her to be an evangelist and they traveled the USA, South America, Canada, and South and Central America.  It started with God moving on her heart.  She found a hiding place, a beautiful refuge, and penned this song:  In his love let me hide.

Brother Gary Sunday Morning 1/26/14

Brother Gary Sunday Morning 1/26/14
Deu 32:1  Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
Deu 32:2  My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
Deu 32:3  Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
Deu 32:4  He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

‘Just’ is a short and a powerful word.  Life is not just; all from probably before school-age experience the injustice of life.  There is however the justice of God.

Moses was 120 years old when God inspired him with this song.  He was near the end of his life.  He was moved upon and said, “Let heaven and let earth grasp what I am going to say.”  He dealt with the Word of God: that which God had given and that which He would give.  He dealt with it as the dew of heaven.

There will never be dew during a storm.  We have all needed the dew of heaven to distill upon our individual lives.  Nothing will do for a plant, not even irrigation, what dew does.  The same as what the dew of heaven will do for us if it forms upon our life and our spiritual leaves.  Nothing will do for us as the dew of heaven will.

Moses went on to instruct us to ascribe greatness unto God.  It is good for us every day of our life, for every testimony meeting, when we have experienced a miracle or need one to ascribe greatness unto God.  It is good for us when we are in the valley of decision or have come out of the valley:  Ascribe ye greatness unto God.

God is able to meet every need of every individual, in every walk of life, with however much understanding or lack of understanding.

The greatness of God:  God spoke to my father one morning, March 19, 1949, when he was making shavings to build a fire.  He said, “You need to go to the barn to pray.”

My father thought it was necessary to build the fire before he went because he knew that my mother would be getting up to cook breakfast.  God said, “You need to go now.”  The greatness of God to place a necessity, and place the thought, “This is something that needs to be taken care of right now.”

God could speak to anyone in this audience; it will be according to His justice.  The Justice of God in helping my dad to know that he needed to pray:  My dad was an adult and sin had worked in his life yet God in his justice let him know that he needed to go pray.

Songs have been written about the greatness of God:  “Look at the faithfulness of God”, “How great thou art”.  We will probably say as the Queen of Sheba when we are on the other side, “The half has never yet been told.

He is the rock.  We are blessed to know some things this morning.  I am totally lost when it comes to modern technology.  My mind is not able to change from paper and pencil when it comes to modern technology and communication.

God is the Rock.  This is a thought that is large, consuming, and powerful.  He is the foundation of all good things.

There are many things that are built upon the whims of people’s minds and introduced into this world.  Unfortunately but true there are things that are trying to be introduced into the bible that are not in the bible.

God’s work is perfect.  In creation God’s work is perfect.  It is perfect how God has worked with everyone in this audience.

People may be judgmental in themselves, “I didn’t do this right.”  Others may think, “This wasn’t done how I would have done it.”  God works in a perfect way.  He is a God of perfect judgment.

God’s Word and Gods Spirit gives a verdict.  All of us in this audience that have been saved a while have experienced being visited by a thought, “I don’t feel well so I wonder if something is wrong spiritually.”  That is the enemy working because you can count on this:  God is a God of judgment; He is not a God only of feeling.

You can tell the wind is there when you feel it.  When there is no wind, you may question if God is there.  It is when it is calm that the dew comes.  There are times when there are no feelings or emotions.

There are times when the feeling of an emotional love and attachment ebbs away because one is leaving the world.  I want to be able to tell all the saints and my children and grandchildren that I love them at that time.  Not because I have great feeling, but because of the love of God in my heart; it allows us to love one another.

I wish we could grasp our daily dependence upon the love of the saints.  I know that the saints pray for me every day.  Every day we experience the benefit of the love of God and the saints of God.

God is a God that gives a verdict; that is what Judgment means.  You may be wondering about this or that and we serve a God that gives a verdict.  We must have an unbiased attitude toward God if we are to receive a verdict.  We cannot tamper with the jury: with God, or with our own conscience.

In order to get an answer from God we must be in a position, “Dear heavenly Father, I want your judgment, your verdict; I want what is right.  Because you are the foundation of all good things, you are a just God to all mankind.”

It is wonderful that we serve a God of truth.  It is wonderful to know truth this morning.  It is wonderful to know that this Word of God has the answer for every life.  It has an answer for the children in the nursery.  It has the answer for the unborn.  The Word of God has the answers for young people.  He is the God of absolute truth.  I am so blessed and you are so blessed to know what it requires to have a clear conscience and a new life.

This Word of God teaches us how to be forgiven of our past.  There are people that have been taught, you must give money, or, you must give your children, or give something else to be saved.  The only thing required from heaven is that you must repent.

The deep hungering to want more of God: it is wonderful to want more of God.  It is wonderful that there is more of God, more of His son, and more of the Holy Spirit available to us.  God has availed himself to those that hunger and thirst for more of God.

God is a God of truth and without iniquity.  It is wonderful that He is a holy God.  There is no sin whatsoever.

The foundation of justice:  There is something about justice that is beautiful.  It is beautiful in every area of our lives and it is an attribute of God.

He showed great justice before He ever created Adam and Eve.  God knew that He was going to create mankind.  It is wonderful how God did it right.  He spoke first and said, “Let there be light.”  God took care of every detail.  He made everything that would be needed.  All the things that are necessary to life He created before He made Adam and Eve.

Then God created Adam.  This morning the justice of God in how He started everything from creation to the Garden of Eden, to the creation of Adam, placing Adam in the garden, and God saw that it was not good that man should be alone.  He took a rib out of Adam and created Eve.  The justice of God in how he set everything in the beginning.

We realize that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  No one would be able to say that “From the beginning of my life I have done everything right so I am just this morning.”  When you and I came on the scene, we came on the scene with a nature that led us into sin.

We learned, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Rom 3:23

God in His justice made it real to any that came to the age of accountability.  “I am a sinner and I need to get right with God.”

The justice of God in visiting Adam and Eve:  He created them, placed them in the garden, gave them instruction, and in the cool of the day He came to visit them.  The justice of God in visiting them!  Wasn’t it wonderful?  He visited them.

Precious individuals that have come through the gate and are traveling up the highway of holiness in God’s justice He will visit you.  We heard the message that straight is the gate and narrow is the way.  We took the message and realized that we must leave off sin.  We came to realize that there were things in our life that we were addicted to and needed to leave off.  God visited us in His justice.

I think of many individuals that started out walking with God.  They could only start from where they were and with the understanding that they had.  Brother Height said, “I got saved among the Methodist and God came to visit with me and I realized that God had more for me than I had.”

My wife told me that a man that had been involved with Pentecostalism came to the end of his journey and said, “I have found something better than Pentecostalism.”

God visited them and showed them, “I am pleased with this and I am unpleased with this.”  God is a God of justice.  You might say, “I feel that I am not even on this third step of this stairway headed to higher things for God.  God in His justice always visits us where we are and always says, “Come up closer.

God in His justice in placing a law in the garden:  There are people that go throughout their entire life that never are obedient.  They rebel against nature, “I wonder if I can drive 100 miles an hour around this corner, if I can jump off this bridge without getting hurt, or if I can play with gas without getting hurt.

God was good to them in this law to Adam and Eve.  “You can have all the fruit of the garden, but the tree of knowledge of good and evil, you cannot touch.”

God has been good to every one of us, “I will bless this; stay away from that.”  His laws are not injustice, his teachings are right.

It was God’s justice and he was right when he said, “Adam where art thou?”  I have heard that in my life.  I have heard God speaking to me.  There are times when our flesh or the flesh in someone else influences us.  We can all be stirred up by someone else.  It is a part of life.

We have had that happen and God has spoken and said, “Gary, why are you here?  This is not where I designed for you to be.”  It is God’s justice.

If there would be one here that feels that God is saying to you, “Where are you in carrying a burden, where are you?”  It is God’s justice that He speaks to us; it is not because He is angry with you.

If God was angry with you and he wanted to exact punishment, he wouldn’t be shouting around, “Where are you?”  That is not how God is.  He is a God that wants to rescue.

You may be in a dilemma of a decision.  You may hear God saying, “Where are you in this decision?”  We want to say, “God I want to answer.  I am coming to you in this decision.”

Adam and Even rebelled.  The justice of God in clothing them: He could have sent them from the garden naked.  He looked down time and wanted us to know in the Gospel Day, not only had He clothed them literally but there had been a blood sacrifice shed for their sin.

God’s justice in His prophecy:  He said, “My seed will bruise Satan’s head.”  I think of the millions that have experienced the justice of their life being blackened by sin, their mind tormented of the past, the fear of tomorrow, and the reality that they would be forever separated from God and then they heard the joyful sound that one day Jesus would come and He would bruise Satan’s head and the plan of salvation would prevail.  Praise Him evermore.

There is plan of God’s justice in laboring in life.  There is justice of God in giving a verdict in Adam and Eve’s disobedience.

Disobedience of God will receive a verdict.  Their disobedience forced God to drive them from the Garden of Eden.  They had disobeyed.  It was the justice of God in keeping the way of the tree of life.

God’s justice in keeping the way to the tree of life: the way to it is open this morning.

After Jesus was born and then crucified, one of his disciples was exiled to the Isle of Patmos; he recorded what was shown to him there.

Rev 22:1  And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

We are blessed to have uncontaminated water to drink.  Pray for the pastor, the teachers, the testifiers, and all the communication that we have with one another.  It is necessary that we communicate with one another.
May God help all of us ever to take the judgment and the justice of God that we want to drink of the pure water of life and give out the pure water of life.

Rev 22:2  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

We went from Genesis where Jesus said, “You cannot stay, you have disobeyed and must leave the Garden of Eden.”  Between that time and Revelation, the Lamb of God came and made a just sacrifice on Mt Calvary.  It was a sacrifice for sin so that the way to the tree of life would be made available to all mankind.

Every person that you could think of this morning, that feels the godly sorrow of conviction, the way is open to them to get to the tree of life.

This tree of life is on the time side of life and on the eternal side.  It is what we reach to when we feel our need of a savior.  We had multiple needs when we came to God for salvation.  We needed delivered from our sin.  We needed a heart transplant, new food to eat, and new water to drink.  We needed to be cleansed and healed.  We found that the tree of life was right there on the time side of the river.

After you have been saved for a little while, you find that the tree of life bears fruit every month just as the scripture says.  You go further and you see that there are leaves for the healing.  I think of the sadness of America.  If we are sad how sad is Russia or Africa?  We cannot even go there in our thoughts.

May God help me to show the justice of God.  The tree of life is on the time side of the river which represents life.  It shows me that the tree of life alone has the power to cancel all the wages of sin which is death.

There is a song that so well tells the story of a life that was so miserable, so full of death, and then that individual came to Christ and that heartache and death was removed and spiritual life took place.

The tree of life is available in the time world today.  It is available as we enjoy the river of God.  When you get saved, you are so happy to be saved.  I look back to the time of my salvation: I was so happy I got saved.  I could have written the song, it is still true today: “Sweeter gets the journey every day.”

I have found that the tree of life is not only on the time side and on the eternal side; it is in the middle of the river.  Keep going for the tree of life; keep going out in the deep things of God.  Keep reading the scripture that caused you to get your spiritual teeth growing and keep growing deeper in the river.

There are leaves for the healing.  Beyond a shadow of a doubt we serve a God that divinely heals physically.  I don’t care who comes up with what, you can never destroy the healing that God has done.  Man will never know all the miracles of healing that God has done.

This healer is not only a physical healer but also a spiritual healer.  One may say, “I have been so beat up by this group or that.”  There are those that are doing everything that they can to spew out bitterness.  It is impossible to come in contact with bitterness and not it try to affect you in some way.

I think of the individual that says, “I have failed so many times.”  Or the one that says, “Brother I have seen so much.”  They did see it, but there is healing.

Jesus touched the blind man and he said, “I see men walking as trees.”  Jesus said, “Let me touch you again.”  We always need two works.

As you age you need this prescription.  We reach a time in our lives when everything seems so huge.  There is healing.  If you don’t seem to get far enough into the stream then unload.  When God speaks, “Son or daughter come out a little deeper.” You say, “I have to unload this pack sack.”  What about the cart behind that?  We are smiling because we understand.

Mentally, I go to God and say, “God help me to think right.  Help me to be just in my thinking.”

How can we find the tree of life?  It is Jesus; He is here this morning.

You know if you are under conviction and if God spoke to your heart.  You know if that hunger for justice is there.  All of us that came to Jesus Christ repenting, we came so guilty.  We didn’t deserve His mercy, but it is His justice.

I don’t know why we must feel so humble to come to Him.  There is no greater honor than to come to him for His justice.

There is only one way to find that way back to God and that is through repentance.

Life is full of injustice and the pain of it leaves our minds and hearts in turmoil.  Taste and see that the Lord is good.
