Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 3/27/13

Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 3/27/13
As the song says, “His grace is free as the air we breathe we may each have a full supply.”

The Throne of God is a throne of grace.  His grace is everywhere.  Many times there is a flowing body of water that goes through a place that draws water off of it for irrigation and then the water continues on and goes into many places.  It is the same way with the grace of God.  There is grace that comes to where you are everyday.  There are also definite seasons where we need to position ourselves before the throne of grace.  Not for just a little grace but we feel our need of the Divine influence of God.

Heb 4:14  Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
Heb 4:15  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

An important part of being able to approach the throne of grace is being able to be broken enough that you let God and everyone else know that you need God and divine intervention in your life.  It doesn’t mean that you are backslid but you recognize that you can do nothing without Jesus.  You acknowledge that you have this treasure in an earthen vessel.

Paul had learned this marvelous secret, this mystery.  In one place he is said to be, “a minister and steward of the mysteries of God and truth.”  This is a mystery until you solve it.  When you understand that “I really need help from God.  We are in 2013 and no one has ever lived here before.”  No book that you can buy can tell you how to pray in 2013, they have never lived in 2013.  There will be no one that can tell you how to win souls in 2013.

There is grace available as free as the air we breathe; grace is there all the time as the air we breathe is there all the time.  Life has positioned me to need an abundance of the grace and inspiration of God.  If it wasn’t that there was a throne of grace, we would never be happy.

Brother Miguel told Karen and me after the death of his daughter that now he can smile by the grace of God. There will be times when we are so heartbroken and disappointed that our joy will be gone.  There will be no enthusiasm or joy because we are loaded down with the heartbreaks of life.  But there is a throne of grace.

We know that God the Father is on the throne and His son is on the right hand of God and the Holy Spirit is there.  You and I can draw near to that throne.  We can have an abundance of the grace of God in our lives because it is there.  It is a throne of grace and we are to come boldly.

Sometimes people are afraid to ask for help.  That must be crucified and we must come boldly so that we may find mercy and grace to help in the time of need.

I don’t believe that I know all about the grace of God.  It may be that God may teach me more or He may teach you so that you can teach me.  We need to be teachable.

Heb 1:1  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Heb 1:2  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

It is wonderful that we have the gospels and it is also wonderful that God speaks to us today through His son.  God himself appointed Jesus to be heir of all things.  This covers all.

Heb 1:3  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

God wanted you and I to know about Jesus; and Jesus came to help you and I know about the Father.   Jesus Christ the brightness of His glory.  We all will walk through seasons of darkness where it seems that there is darkness all around us.  We say, “God I need you and your son to bring light.”  It is wonderful that God sends us light.

Jesus if the express image of God. We understand the wrath and the love of God.  God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son.

Heb 1:4  Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Heb 1:5  For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

Jesus taught us to pray, “OUR Father.”  He said, “Disciples and followers of me, this is how you pray, ‘OUR’ father.”  He is still saying to his sons and daughters, “Thou art my daughter, thou art my son.”
It is wonderful that the father chose that all the angels would worship the son.  It is so marvelous.

Heb 1:6  And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
Heb 1:7  And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

Ever pray that God’s ministers will have holy fire.  Pray first that you will have lots of fire.

Heb 1:8  But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

The Father recognized the Son as God.  It is amazing that we have an identity with eternity.  Doug McDonald told me about an old pickup and I finally found in my recollection that my father had an old pickup that broke down and had a load of wood in it and they took another pickup up and took the wood and left the truck.  That is something that I’d like to take a picture of.  It is a memory that goes back sixty years.  That is nothing to compare with identifying with a touch of God.

It is wonderful to say, “That tomb is empty.”  Yes I’d like to see the truck, but to think that we can identify with an eternal father whose son is forever and ever.  His throne and the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of His kingdom.

It is wonderful that He reaches out His scepter.  In a world that is so corrupt, when I think of the things that have happened in history. It makes my heart so sad.  People didn’t have to go that way.

God and the Son have a definite opinion about sin.  It is wrong at every level.  In the educated it is wrong and in all others.  They say, “You would do the same if you had the opportunity” and I say, “NO.”  Thank God I don’t have to go that way.

Heb 1:9  Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Heb 1:10  And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
Heb 1:11  They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
Heb 1:12  And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
Heb 1:13  But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

We are so happy to have God resting in us.  We can rest in him and he can rest in our love.

Heb 1:14  Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

The throne of grace: you can have a full supply.  Whatever it takes to get there, press your way.  You can have a full supply of the good things of God.
