INTRODUCTION:

FOR SEVEN DAYS THE FEAST OF THE TABERNACKLES HAD BEEN CELEBRATED…

THE EIGHTH DAY, KNOWN AS THE GREAT DAY, A SPECIAL OBSERVANCE WAS CELEBRATED

THE PRIEST TOOK WATER FROM THE POOL OF SOLAOM AND WINE,

            MIXED THEM AND POURED THEM OVER THE SACRIFICE….

JESUS STOOD AND CRIED SAYING…

37…IF ANY MAN THIRST..

38…HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME…

39…THE HOLY SPIRIT HAD NOT BEEN GIVEN YET….

JESUS TEACHING ON THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT HE WAS GOING TO SEND AFTER HE RETURNED TO THE FATHER…..

JOHN 14:15-18

THE WORLD CANNOT RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT…JOHN 14:15-17

THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL TEACH AND BRING TO REMEMBERANCE…JOHN 14:26

THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT…

1. REPROVE THE WORLD OF SIN
2. SPIRIT OF TRUTH
3. GUIDE
4. GLORIFY CHRIST
5. THE HOLY SPIRIT RECEIVES AND GIVES..V14-15..

CLOSING:  IS THE HOLY SPIRIT NEEDED TO DAY?

1. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH…
2. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE COMFORTER…
3. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE TEACHER…
4. THE HOLY SPIRIT BRINGS WHAT JESUS HAS SAID TO OUR REMEMBERANCE
5. THE HOLY SPIRIT REPROVES…
6. THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDES US INTO ALL TRUTH…
7. THE HOLY SPIRIT ELEVATES CHRIST AND THE WORD..
8. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS AS A RIVER….

THE HOLY SPIRIT AS A RIVER…RECEIVES FROM THE SOURCE AND GIVES TO THE RECEIVERS

1.      A RIVER CLEANSES….

2.      A RIVER FERTILIZIZES…

3.      A RIVER REFRESHES…

4.      THE ABUNDANCE OF THE RIVER OF GOD…

5.      THE RIVER BELONGS TO GOD…

DAVID TASTED OF THIS RIVER…..

Ps 36:5-12

5 Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
