Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 6/4/14
1Ti 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all,
supplications, prayers, intercessions, and
giving of thanks, be made for all men;
There is a way to have
direction as to how to work with a soul; that is to supplicate. The enemy has done great things to keep souls
from getting saved, but we are laying a hold on one that is greater.
1Ti 2:2 For kings, and for
all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all
godliness and honesty.
One thing I know, God is in
control. As fast as things move, it
could happen that before next year we may not be able to have vacation bible
school. We need to work and pray.
1Ti 2:3 For this is
good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to
come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1Ti 2:5 For there is
one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1Ti 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be
testified in due time.
1Ti 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an
apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and
lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
1Ti 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where,
lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
Eph 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding
what the will of the Lord is.
Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is
excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God
and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Eph 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the
fear of God.
We are to be easily
entreated. You have learned what God
requires for us to prosper here. As we
submit one to another, we learn, teach, edify, and build.
Heb 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from
the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of
the everlasting covenant,
Heb 13:21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his
will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus
Christ; to whom be glory for ever and
ever. Amen.
In your list of things to do
tomorrow: let God have His portion. Say,
“I need the list because I want to get things done, but I want to be subject to
the will of God.”
Is God not the same today? Jacob’s ladder went clear up into
heaven. Be careful where you let your
ladder stop. Let it come clear from heaven.
Psa 106:21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done
great things in Egypt;
This is a very stirring
scripture. Don’t forget the good things
that God has done. Something that has
stirred me in my spiritual life speaking of the Children of Israel: they wanted quail, and certain things... They lusted exceedingly after the desires of
the flesh. God gave them that desire but
sent leanness to their soul.
We have every reason to be
vigilant, even to be militant, “I want the will of God and to not forget what
God has already done.”
Psa 126:1 A Song of degrees. When the LORD
turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
Psa 126:2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and
our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done
great things for them.
Psa 126:3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
Psa 126:4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the
streams in the south.
Psa 126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Psa 126:6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing
precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
