Brother Gary Wednesday Evening 10/16/13
Luk 6:38 Give, and it shall be
given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running
over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete
withal it shall be measured to you again.
God will supply every need.
I’m not necessarily thinking of literal needs, but He supplies those
too.
Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need
according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Paul wrote this because he had this testimony. God always supplied all His needs.
Supply means to provide as with a cup that is full or
heaping.
From what you read of years gone by there were people that
were always poor mouthing and everything was wrong in all those stories. But there is a God in heaven that will supply
everything that we need.
There will be times that we realize, “God, I am empty but
you can fill me.” We need to be
filled. All the necessities are met according
to the Word of God. Sometimes our needs
are emotional needs. Sometimes we don’t
even know how to put our need into words, but God can supply all our need.
God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit have
plenty at their disposal to supply all our spiritual needs. They sit on the throne and God is a God of
power. All that is in earth and heaven
is His and He has a way of supplying all our needs.
Php 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
This is a wonderful scripture. Paul was writing to these saints where the
congregation was established by a voice telling him to go and work with
them. We want to live with a vision
larger than our life.
We may be busy with many things, but we can plant the seed
and God has plenty of ways of watering, digging around it and sending sunshine.
Paul was writing to people that he loved, he enjoyed being
with, and who loved him.
His thought to them:
Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he
which hath begun a good work in you will perform it
until the day of Jesus Christ:
Whatever God has been working with you on He is able to
perform. You may not feel up to the
challenge, but He is able to perform it.
Php 1:9 And this I pray, that your love may abound
yet more and more in knowledge and in
all judgment;
We don’t ever want to feel like we have arrived; when we get
there we are in trouble every time.
Php 1:10 That ye may approve things that are
excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;
It is so easy to drift, may God help us to never approve a
drifting in our life or in someone else’s life.
Php 1:11 Being filled with the fruits of
righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Php 1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my
salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
Paul was probably in the prison house so to speak; he had
some liberties, but he said, “I am counting on your prayers.”
We are counting on each other’s prayers. We are so blessed to have the prayers of one
another. We are blessed to have the Holy
Spirit help us.
Php 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body,
whether it be by life, or by death.
Php 1:21 For to me to live is
Christ, and to die is gain.
He had hope and expectation.
We want Christ magnified. We want
more of Jesus and less of us. We don’t want
to be on exhibition, but we want more of Jesus and less of us.
