Brother Gary Sunday Evening 4/14/13

Brother Gary Sunday Evening 4/14/13
Eze 47:1  Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
Eze 47:2  Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
Eze 47:3  And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

If you are in ankle deep water, for you precious children, we are happy that you are at the living water and are serving God.  Oh that God would give me the heart of a shepherd to nurture!  We will have to count the cost to nurture anyone.

We live in a society of young men and ladies that are so un-nurtured and untrained.  Their needs are so great.  There will be times when you are going to feel uncomfortable because of the deplorable condition that we are in.

We find ourselves afraid of making any moves because of what someone will say.  The only thing that we need fear is what God would say about it.

God the Father, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit of God are measuring out further for us all the time.  Isn’t that wonderful?

Eze 47:4  Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

This scripture moves hastily through these things.  We know that in every one of our lives, since spiritual birth until now, that God always challenges us spiritually.  He keeps measuring out.  I don’t swim literally.  I can teach this well tonight because I know what t is like to be afraid of water.

Eze 47:5  Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

There is something about God dealing with our souls to bring us to a place where we get past having control of everything.  I am among those that love to wade the creeks.  I don’t want it to get too high; I want to feel safe.  If it gets above my knees to my thighs I no longer feel too comfortable.

Neither me nor this child would be afraid at ankle deep water.  The knee deep for Isaac it is not too deep for me but if it were knee deep for me then Isaac wouldn’t feel too comfortable.  Thigh deep would be chest deep to a child.  At my waste it would be deep enough for a child to swim.

God is fair and just.  He doesn’t require for a child what He would of me.

For me and you we must get past ankle deep.  There is something that we were created with that we like to have things in control.  God says, come out deeper.  We go out deeper and find out that as God begins to deal with us, we begin to feel that He is drawing us closer to Him.

I feel my soul saying, “flesh, human, the impulse of my mind, and the natural responses of my self just be crucified.”  They must be dead.  All of my fears and worries must be laid aside.

God calls, “Come out a little deeper, come out a little deeper.”  You’d have a tough time getting me out in a river up to my neck.  I would want to be sure that there was no hole that I would be dropping into.   Spiritually it is different.  He says, “Saints I want you to come out deeper so that I have total control of your life, your impulses and your actions, total control.”

This river is the river of the Spirit and the river of life.  He wants us to get out there and I want to be there.  He wants us out there so far that we are not always looking to see “How quick can I get to shore?” but realize that, “I can trust Jesus.”

Eze 47:6  And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.
Eze 47:7  Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
Eze 47:8  Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
Eze 47:9  And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

In a world that is backsliding, in a church world and society that are getting further away from God and morals, we need to be in waters deep enough to swim.  The bumper sticker said, “If you could sin and go to heaven then what would you have to do to go to hell?”

There were much fish and life where the waters went and there is healing and life where the river comes.  We must have the river of the Spirit.  We deal with death all the time.  We deal with men and women that don’t let us talk to them about the things of God and put up a stand against spirituality.

There are people that are so dead in their sanctification message.  They preach a death message in their sanctification.  They choose what they call to be worldly and they forget about what is alive.  They are dead and there is no relationship with God.  They go out into the world and there is no life going out.

We must live in the Spirit to walk in the Spirit and we must walk in the Spirit to have life and life more abundantly.

Where these waters went there was healing.  There are people that to the natural eye would be thought impossible.  None of us would be saved tonight if God didn’t do the impossible.

We must live in the Spirit and have the river of the Spirit alive and flowing in us so that we don’t see the individual as hopeless but we see that there is deliverance from alcohol, drugs, materialism, and bondage here there and somewhere else.

If you look at those things you would say, “it is helpless.”  But Hold on there is a river of life.  There is healing for the individual whose mind need healing.  There is healing for the individuals whose lives are messed up.

As Paul found the people of that day worshipping heathen Gods, today we find people are totally given over to worshipping the god of self, the god of pleasure, and all that is out there.  Heathen worship.

When you come through with the Spirit of life and the Holy Spirit of life there is life that will unlock.  There is no cage locked that God the Son and the Holy Ghost cannot unlock.

Eze 47:10  And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.
Eze 47:11  But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

There is nothing sadder than someone in the miry marshes.  There is nothing sadder than an individual that refuses to let living water come into their life.

(I think of how Jesus would send the living water and it would bring life to the atheist and to those in Jehovah witness-ism.  They are taught to not have anything to do with anyone that would put a thought in their mind that they are not right or don’t have it all.)

That is the reason that people dwell in marshes and back water.  If a person doesn’t want to give up sin or self or the cage that they are in then they won’t be healed.  If they want to hold onto a cage because they feel a security from it then the living water cannot get to them.

Eze 47:12  And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

There is everything that we need in the healing water that comes from Jesus Christ.  God spoke to me and Karen this last week that we needed to rest so that we could have it together Sunday.  Some of you work really hard but it is needful that you rest so that you have it together physically and mentally so that when He takes the line and measures out more depth you can have enthusiasm and have the river of life flowing around you and being wrapped around with the Spirit of God.  We need to have much of the Spirit of God in our hearts and our lives.
